Tabreed, the world’s leading district cooling company, has completed its participation at this year’s Big 5 Construct Egypt, where members of its executive management team led the discussion on the vital topics of decarbonisation through planning efficiency and the role of district cooling in sustainable cities.
This was the sixth edition of the most influential construction event in Egypt, with technology and sustainability both high on its agenda. For Tabreed, this presented an unmissable opportunity to engage with developers, architects, planners, engineers, consultants and government officials, to openly discuss the opportunities available to them through the uptake of district cooling. The industry has already proved itself over many decades to enormously benefit governments, customers, communities and investors across the GCC, enabling societal progress and rapid, sustainable growth.
“District cooling is universally acknowledged as a vital player in the mitigation of climate change,” commented Tabreed’s Chief Executive Officer, Khalid Al Marzooqi. “As global populations and temperatures rise, so is the demand for cooling. Meeting that demand should not cost the earth and district cooling has shown itself to be indispensable, using 50% less energy than conventional air conditioning.

ستكملت الشركة الوطنية للتبريد المركزي "تبريد"، وهي الشركة الرائدة عالمياً في مجال تبريد المناطق، مشاركتها في معرض البناء والتشييد Big 5 Construct Egypt لهذا العام، حيث تولّى أعضاء فريق إدارتها التنفيذية قيادة المناقشات حول الموضوعات الحيوية المتعلقة بإزالة الكربون من خلال تعزيز كفاءة التخطيط ودور منظومة تبريد المناطق في المدن المستدامة.
ويُعدّ هذا الحدث النسخة السادسة من معرض البناء والتشييد الأكثر تأثيراً في مصر، والذي تتصدّر التكنولوجيا والاستدامة قائمة أبرز المواضيع على جدول أعماله. وقد شكّل هذا المعرض فرصة استثنائية أتاحت لشركة "تبريد" التواصل مع المطورين والاستشاريين والمهندسين المعماريين والمسؤولين الحكوميين وخبراء التخطيط الحضري، لإجراء مناقشات مفتوحة للوقوف على الفوائد التي يوفرها قطاع تبريد المناطق، حيث أثبت على مدى عقود كثيرة قدرته على توفير فوائد كبيرة للحكومات والعملاء والمجتمعات والمستثمرين على حدّ سواء، وتمكين المجتمعات من التطور والنمو السريع والمستدام.
وقال خالد المرزوقي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "تبريد"، في معرض تعليقه على هذه المشاركة : "من المتعارف عليه عالمياً أن نظام تبريد المناطق يلعب دوراً حيوياً في التخفيف من حدّة تغير المناخ. ومع ارتفاع عدد سكان العالم ودرجات الحرارة، يزداد الطلب على حلول التبريد. إلّا أنّ تلبية هذا الطلب لا ينبغي أن تكون على حساب كوكب الأرض؛ وهنا تكمن أهمية اعتماد تبريد المناطق كمكون رئيسي للتخطيط الحضري نظراً لكفاءته في استخدام الطاقة والتي تصل إلى نسبة 50 في المائة مقارنة بأنظمة تكييف الهواء التقليدية".
