Dubai, UAE, 25 May 2023: Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, today announced that the Schneider Electric Sustainability School is open for enrolment. Free to access, the digital platform provides a range of interactive courses aimed at equipping companies and professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to improve their sustainability performance.
First launched internally to educate Schneider Electric employees to better support the company’s partner ecosystem, the three-part programme is now available externally for professionals and companies of all sizes, empowering them to take a first step towards a more sustainable future.
Decarbonizing the economy is a business opportunity
The 2015 Paris Agreement sparked a movement across the economy to reduce or eliminate carbon emissions. A recent Gartner survey found that 87% of business leaders expect their sustainability spending to increase in the next two years.
But despite this growing commitment to decarbonization, a sizeable knowledge and skills gap remains a barrier to progress. Furthermore, companies are increasingly relying on partners with expertise in the field of sustainability to support them in decarbonizing their operations.

Recognizing that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) often lack the knowledge and tools required to establish climate targets, measure impacts such as carbon emissions, and benchmark and disclose progress, the comprehensive training platform is designed to support them in embarking on their decarbonization journey. Over three chapters, it covers a range of topics from energy efficiency and renewable energy to the circular economy and sustainable transportation.
- Chapter 1: Understanding sustainability and the risks involved [intake now open]
- In the first chapter, attendees will learn the basics of sustainability, including the science and jargon behind it and why it is crucial for businesses to take environmental, social and governance factors (ESG) seriously.
- Chapter 2: Discover how to take sustainable action as a company [Launching Q3, 2023]
- The second chapter focuses on how SMEs can build a decarbonization strategy, including information on easy-to-implement tools that can support them in decarbonizing their own operations and that of their customers.
- Chapter 3: Leverage sustainable skills to increase business opportunities [Launching Q1, 2024]
- The third chapter summarizes the key knowledge and tools learnt throughout the programme – from energy efficiency to decarbonization – to support attendees in putting the theory into practice.

دبي، 25 مايو 2023: أعلنت شنايدر إلكتريك، الشركة الرائدة في التحول الرقمي لإدارة الطاقة والتحكّم الآلي، اليوم عن فتح باب التسجيل في كلّية شنايدر إلكتريك للاستدامة، وهي منصة تدريب رقمية متكاملة وأصبحت اليوم متوفرة للشركاء دون أي مقابل، وتقدم مجموعة من المسارات التدريبية التفاعلية والهادفة إلى تزويد الشركات والمهنيين بالمعارف والمهارات اللازمة لتعزيز الأداء في ممارسات الاستدامة.

وقد تم إطلاق البرنامج في مرحلته الأولى داخليًا بهدف تدريب موظفي "شنايدر إلكتريك" على دعم منظومة شركائها بشكل أكثر فعالية في ترسيخ ممارسات الاستدامة، أما الآن، أصبح البرنامج المكون من ثلاثة مساقات متوفرة لكافة الشركات والمهنيين من شركاء شنايدر حول العالم، ولتمكينهم من المساهمة في بناء مستقبل أكثر استدامة.
فرص اقتصادية للشركاء في أنشطة إزالة الكربون
ويجدر بالذكر بأنه ورغم الالتزام المتزايد بإزالة الكربون، لا تزال هناك فجوة كبيرة في المعرفة والمهارات تحول دون تحقيق التقدم بالوتيرة المنشودة، لذلك تعتمد الشركات الراغبة في تنفيذ برامج الاستدامة وبشكل متزايد على شركاء ذوي خبرة في مجال الاستدامة، وذلك لتسخير خبرات الشركاء ومعرفتهم في أساليب وأسس إزالة الكربون وتقليل البصمة الكربونية وتحقيق الاستدامة المتكاملة.
تم تطوير منصة التدريب الشاملة لدعم الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة بشكل خاص والراغبة في بدء أو تعزيز مسيرتها نحو إزالة الكربون، عبر الاستفادة من المعرفة والأدوات المتاحة ضمن المساقات التدريبية الخاصة بالبرنامج، واللازمة لتحديد الأهداف المناخية، وقياس التأثيرات مثل انبعاثات الكربون، وتقييم مستوى التقدم المتحقق.
وتغطي منصة كليّة شنايدر إلكتريك للاستدامة ثلاثة أجزاء ومجموعة من الموضوعات ابتداءً من كفاءة الطاقة والطاقة المتجددة إلى الاقتصاد الدائري والنقل المستدام. ويشمل الجزء الأول فهم الاستدامة وما تنطوي عليه من مخاطر، والتسجيل فيه مفتوح الآن، لتعلّم أساسيات الاستدامة، بما في ذلك العلوم والمصطلحات وأهمية أخذ المعايير البيئية والاجتماعية وحوكمة الشركات على محمل الجد.
أما الجزء الثاني من البرنامج التدريبي فيغطي تعريف الشركات بكيفية اتخاذ إجراءات مستدامة، ويبدأ في الربع الثالث من عام 2023 الجاري، حيث يركز على تدريب المؤسسات الصغيرة والمتوسطة على كيفية بناء استراتيجية لإزالة الكربون، ويشمل معلومات عن الأدوات سهلة التنفيذ التي يمكن أن تدعمها في إزالة الكربون من عملياتها وعمليات عملائها.
في حين يشمل الجزء الثالث الاستفادة من المهارات المستدامة في زيادة فرص الأعمال، ويبدأ في الربع الأول من عام 2024، حيث يلخص المعارف والنتائج الرئيسية التي تعلّمها المشاركون خلال البرنامج، سواء في كفاءة الطاقة أو إزالة الكربون، وذلك لدعمهم في وضع النظرية موضع التنفيذ.
كما يذكر بأن اتفاق باريس للمناخ عام 2015 حفّز حراكاً دولياً واقتصادياً لتقليل انبعاثات الكربون أو إزالتها، وأظهر استطلاع حديث أجرته مؤسسة غارتنر أن 87٪ من قادة الأعمال يتوقعون زيادة الإنفاق على الاستدامة في العامين المقبلين.
