As part of the agreement, Informa Markets will provide NAFL the status of “Supporting Organisation” for SMLME
Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 3rd April 2023: Informa Markets and the National Association of Freight and Logistics (NAFL) signed an agreement to collaborate and support the upcoming Seatrade Maritime Logistics Middle East (SMLME) event, the flagship event of the UAE Maritime Week. Held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, the leading maritime and logistics event in the region is scheduled to take place on 16-18 May 2023, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
NAFL is a non-profit organisation established in 1992 to support and promote the freight and logistics industry in the UAE. The Association was formed primarily to bring together in one body all the major players in the nation’s freight forwarding, logistics, and shipping industry, as well as to represent and promote the interests of its members. Its main goal is to ensure the UAE's leading position and Dubai's pre-eminence in the international freight and transportation fields.
In line with its ambitions, and as a result of its long-standing experience in supporting the logistics sector in the country, NAFL aims to promote the newly introduced logistics element of SMLME through this partnership, and provide strategic support to enhance the event’s value to the local, regional, and global maritime industry. Additionally, as part of the agreement, the Association will facilitate the promotion of SMLME to its extensive network of industry professionals, while Informa Markets will provide NAFL with the status of "Supporting Organisation" for the event.
Building resilience in the logistics segment
Speaking about the partnership and its potential to enhance the impact of the event Nadia Abdul Aziz, President, National Association of Freight and Logistics (NAFL) said: "We are well aware of the fact that the UAE is home to some of the busiest ports in the world, including Jebel Ali Port and Khalifa Port, which handle millions of TEUs cargo every year, making it a leading regional and global trade hub. ضمن الاتفاقية، ستصبح اللجنة الوطنية للشحن والإمداد "المنظمة الداعمة" لمؤتمر ومعرض سيتريد للقطاع البحري واللوجستي في الشرق الأوسط
دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة -3 إبريل 2023: وقعت شركة "إنفورما ماركتس" مع اللجنة الوطنية للشحن والإمداد (نافل) اتفاقية تعاون لدعم مؤتمر ومعرض سيتريد للقطاع البحري واللوجستي في الشرق الأوسط، الحدث الرئيس ضمن فعاليات أسبوع الإمارات البحري. والذي يقام تحت رعاية وزارة الطاقة والبنية التحتية في دولة الإمارات، في الفترة من 16 إلى 18 مايو 2023، في مركز دبي التجاري العالمي.
وتُعتبر اللجنة الوطنية للشحن والإمداد مؤسسة غير ربحية انطلقت عام 1992 لدعم وتعزيز صناعة الشحن والخدمات اللوجستية في دولة الإمارات. وتجمع المعنيين في مجال الشحن والخدمات اللوجستية وصناعة الشحن في الدولة تحت مظلة واحدة، إضافة إلى دورها في رعاية مصالح أعضائها من شركات القطاع اللوجستي في الدولة. ويتمثل الهدف الرئيس للجنة في تكريس مكانة دولة الإمارات الريادية وتعزيز سمعة دبي في مجال الشحن والنقل الدولي.
ونظرًا لخبرتها الطويلة في دعم قطاع الخدمات اللوجستية المحلي، تسعى اللجنة الوطنية للشحن والإمداد من خلال هذه الشراكة إلى تعزيز البعد اللوجستي لمؤتمر ومعرض سيتريد للقطاع البحري واللوجستي في الشرق الأوسط، وتقديم دعمها الاستراتيجي لتعزيز قيمة الحدث للصناعة البحرية المحلية والإقليمية والعالمية. إضافة إلى ذلك، وضمن الاتفاقية، سيؤدي تعاون الجهتين إلى زيادة التوعية بمؤتمر ومعرض سيتريد للقطاع البحري واللوجستي في الشرق الأوسط عبر الشبكة الواسعة لأعضاء اللجنة من المتخصصين في هذا المجال. في حين ستمنح "إنفورما ماركتس" اللجنة الوطنية للشحن والإمداد صفة "المنظمة الداعمة" لهذا الحدث الرائد.
مرونة قطاع الخدمات اللوجستية
في حديثها عن هذه الشراكة وأثرها في الحدث، قالت نادية عبد العزيز، رئيس اللجنة الوطنية للشحن والإمداد (نافل): "ندرك الدور المحوري لدولة الإمارات باعتبارها مقرًا لعدد من أكبر الموانئ الإقليمية وأكثرها نشاطًا في العالم، وفي مقدمتها ميناء جبل علي وميناء خليفة، اللذان يقومان بمناولة ملايين الحاويات سنويًا، ما يجعل الدولة مركزًا تجاريًا إقليميًا عالميًا رائدًا. وتفوق قيمة سوق الخدمات اللوجستية في الدولة مليارات الدولارات، ويتواصل نموها المتسارع عامًا بعد عام؛ لذا، من الضروري دعم الفعاليات اللوجستية في الدولة ورعايتها من قبل مختلف الجهات والهيئات، وفي مقدمتها اللجنة الوطنية للشحن والإمداد، ومن خلال شراكتنا مع "إنفورما ماركتس" في دعم مؤتمر ومعرض سيتريد للقطاع البحري واللوجستي في الشرق الأوسط، نتطلع إلى فتح الفرصة أمام أعضائنا للاستفادة من شبكة العلاقات الكبيرة التي يتيحها هذا الحدث، عبر التواصل والتفاعل مع قادة الصناعة والاجتماع بالمحترفين العاملين في قطاعات مماثلة، لاكتشاف فرص وآفاق جديدة لنمو الأعمال".
من جهته أكد سوديش شاتورفيدي، الأمين العام للجنة الوطنية للشحن والإمداد (نافل)، قائلًا: "تسببت الجائحة والتوترات الجيوسياسية الأخيرة بآثار كبيرة على صناعة الخدمات اللوجستية في جميع أنحاء العالم، ما أدى إلى تقلبات عديدة في سلاسل الإمداد والتوريد وتغيير شامل في سلوك المستهلكين؛ لكن على الرغم من ذلك، أظهرت الصناعة مرونة وقدرة عالية على التكيف ومواجهة التحديات، وما من شك أن الفعاليات الرئيسة والمؤتمرات النوعية، مثل مؤتمر ومعرض سيتريد للقطاع البحري واللوجستي في الشرق الأوسط، تسهم في جمع المعنيين بالقطاع للعمل معًا ضمن منصة مشتركة، كما تعمل على تعزيز الابتكار وتطوير الحلول المناسبة لأكثر القضايا إلحاحًا. ويشكل اعتبارنا "المنظمة الداعمة" لهذا الحدث شهادة على التزامنا بتحفيز قطاع الخدمات اللوجستية وصناعة الشحن، ونحن على ثقة من أن هذه الشراكة ستساعدنا على تأكيد أهدافنا وتحقيق طموحاتنا في الوصول إلى جمهور أوسع، لإبراز الدور الحيوي الذي نقوم به في دفع نمو القطاع اللوجستي ككل".
