In an event that brought key industry experts and leading tech partners together to explore opportunities of utilizing RISE with SAP on Microsoft Azure
QATAR February 23rd 2023: Microsoft and SAP have jointly announced the launch of RISE with SAP on Microsoft’s hyperscale cloud datacenter region in Qatar. SAP customers in Qatar can now host RISE with SAP on Microsoft Azure, expanding the opportunities for building a cloud-first economy in Qatar, the GCC and the MENA region.
Microsoft and SAP made the announcement during their co-hosted ‘RISE with SAP on the Road’ exclusive event, that took place on February 21st 2023 at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Msheireb Downtown Doha. The two tech leaders and their partners discussed how to drive the digital and cultural change needed to steer organizations through disruption, build resiliency and achieve their business and sustainability goals.
The addition of RISE with SAP to Microsoft’s Azure multi-cloud capabilities provides customers with enhanced solutions that can work across multiple clouds, devices and digital frameworks. Businesses of all sizes and across all industries can utilize the comprehensive set of enterprise-grade cloud services for their digital transformation and innovation needs.
During the event, Lana Khalaf, General Manager at Microsoft Qatar, said, “At Microsoft, we constantly strive to provide the best cloud experience for our customers, the Microsoft cloud datacenter region will be the first cloud datacenter to provide Rise with SAP on Azure in Qatar, unlocking new business opportunities and innovation.” She added, “Bringing Rise with SAP on Azure to Qatar, supports our efforts to increase opportunities for our customers to innovate on their own terms and achieve their business goals.”

The event shed light on customers who experienced early success in accelerating their business transformation and simplifying their path to the intelligent enterprise.
Farha Muhanna Al-Kuwari, Human Resources Information Systems Centre Director at the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, commented “CGB has been partners with SAP for more than a decade to support the transformation of Mawared: the Qatar Government's HR system by standardizing processes and streamline operations leveraging the latest technologies. Abdulaziz Ibrahim Al-Tamimi, CEO of Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) said: “Rise with SAP was a key milestone for Qatar Petroleum Material Company (QPMC) holistic digital transformation journey, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the countries strategy to diverse its economy. Al Meera Consumer Goods, the biggest retailer in Qatar, IT Director, Abdulaziz Almana, said, “In our journey to adopt digital transformation of our operations across our over 60 stores to the cloud, we have selected RISE with SAP running on Microsoft Azure to allow us to leverage cloud computing, automated business process and innovative solutions to significantly improve our operational performance and apply a more integrated approach in serving our clients.”

الدوحة - قطر، 23 فبراير 2023: أعلنت شركة مايكروسوفت وشركة SAPعن إطلاق حل "رايز وذ اس ايه بي" على منطقة مراكز مايكروسوفت للبيانات السحابية في قطر، في خطوة ستمكّن عملاء SAP في قطر من استضافة حل تخطيط موارد المؤسسات على منصة Microsoft Azure مما سيزيد من فرص بناء اقتصاد "السحابة أولاً" في قطر ودول مجلس التعاون الخليجي ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا.
وجاء الإعلان خلال فعالية "رايز وذ اس ايه بي"على الطريق" الحصرية التي نظمتها شركتا مايكروسوفت وSAP يوم 21 فبراير 2023 في فندق ماندارين اورينتال في مشروع مشيرب قلب الدوحة. وناقش مسؤولو الشركتين وشركاؤهما سبل دفع التغيير الرقمي والثقافي اللازم لتسهيل تغلب المؤسسات على الأعطال، وبناء المرونة، وتحقيق أهدافها التشغيلية وأهداف الاستدامة.
ويعتبر حل "رايز وذ اس ايه بي" الذي تم استضافته على منصة Azureحلاً قائماً على السحابة يجمع ما بين برامج SAP لتخطيط موارد المؤسسات ومنصة Microsoft Azure للحوسبة السحابية، بشكل يوفر للشركات مرونة وقابلية للتوسع لا مثيل لها، وأداء وموثوقية أفضل، وأمان بيانات محسّن، ووقتاً أسرع للتسويق لتحسين عملياتها التشغيلية وتحقيق أهدافها للتحول الرقمي.
وقام عدد من الشركات والمؤسسات القطرية في مختلف القطاعات بتبني سحابة مايكروسوفت لحلولهم من SAP نظراً لسهولة دمجها، واتساع نطاق الخدمات المبتكرة والمتقدمة التي توفّرها، والمستوى العالي من الأمان والامتثال الذي تتميز به. وقد سلّطت الفعالية الضوء على بعض من هذه الشركات التي حققت نجاحاً مبكراً في تسريع تحويل أعمالهم وتبسيط رحلتهم للتحول إلى شركات ومؤسسات ذكية.
وخلال مشاركتها صرحت فرحة مهنا الكواري، مدير مركز نظم معلومات الموارد البشرية في ديوان الخدمة المدنية والتطوير الحكومي: "تربطنا مع شركة "إس إيه بي" علاقة شراكة طويلة لدعم تحوّل منصة "موارد": نظام الموارد البشرية لحكومة قطر من خلال توحيد العمليات وتبسيط العمليات بالاستفادة من أحدث التقنيات. نحن فخورون بهذه الشراكة وجهودنا المشتركة للتحسينات المستمرة." وأضافت "نظراً للخدمات المهمة التي توفرها منصة "موارد" للجهات الحكومية، فإن الانقطاع أو التعطل يمكن أن يكون له تأثيرات كبيرة على العمليات التشغيلية وفقدان البيانات وإلحاق الضرر بالسمعة. ومن خلال نشر حل "استمرارية الأعمال والتعافي من الكوارث (BCDR) الذي توفره منصة Microsoft Azure، أصبح بإمكاننا الآن تجنب التعطل، وحماية تطبيقات وبيانات "موارد، وضمان استمرار عمل منصة "موارد" وتعافيها في حال حدوث كوارث أو أعطال غير متوقعة. وتعتبر هذه خطوة كبيرة في رحلة تبني المركز للسحابة بما ينسجم مع أجندة البلاد للتحول الرقمي ورؤية قطر الوطنية 2030، وبرهاناً على القيمة التي تضيفها التقنيات المستندة إلى السحابة لبلادنا".
وأوضح عبدالعزيز إبراهيم التميمي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة قطر للمواد الأولية: "كان حل "رايز وذ اس ايه بي" بمثابة علامة فارقة في رحلة التحول الرقمي للأولية بما يتماشى مع رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030 واستراتيجية الدولة للتنوع الاقتصادي. ولا شك لدينا في أن خبرة اس اي بي وتقنياتها المتطورة بالإضافة إلى بنية مايكروسوفت السحابية ستلعبان دورًا فعالاً في تحقيق أهدافنا التقنية لرفع الكفاءة وكذلك مستوى الخدمة للعملاء وتعزيز قدرتنا التنافسية وتقديم أكبر قيمة لعملائنا".
وقال حمدان ميرشانت، المدير الأول للابتكار وتكنولوجيا المعلومات في شركة الخليج للمخازن GWC: "توفر السحابة الخيار الأمثل لدعم الأهداف الاستراتيجية لشركة الخليج للمخازن (GWC). فمن خلال استخدام حل تخطيط موارد المؤسسات على سحابة مايكروسوفت Azure، نحصل على أحدث التصحيحات والابتكارات والتحديثات من SAP".
وصرّح عبدالعزيز المانع،المدير التنفيذي لقسم تكنولوجيا المعلومات في شركة الميرة: "في رحلتنا لتسريع التحوّل الرقمي في عملياتنا في متاجرنا الستين والانتقال إلى السحابة، قمنا بتني حل تخطيط موارد المؤسسات على منصة Microsoft Azure ، للاستفادة من الحوسبة السحابية، والعمليات التجارية المؤتمتة، وغيرها من الحلول المبتكرة لتحسين فعالية عملياتنا وتطبيق نهج أكثر تكاملا في خدمة عملائنا".
وخلال كلمتها أكّدت لانا خلف، المدير العام لمايكروسوفت قطر سعي الشركة الدائم إلى توفير أفضل تجربة سحابية للشركات والمؤسسات وأوضحت أن منطقة مراكز مايكروسوفت للبيانات السحابية في قطر هي أول مراكز سحابية تقدم حلول "رايز وذ اس ايه بي" على منصة Azure من قطر لتمكين العملاء من الاستفادة من فرص الأعمال الواسعة والابتكارات الحديثة." وأضافت "إن توفير حلول "رايز وذ اس ايه بي" على منصة Azure السحابية في قطر يدعم جهودنا لتقديم أفضل الفرص لعملائنا ليبتكروا بحسب متطلبات أعمالهم ويحققوا أهدافهم".
