New flights to Greece’s largest island, Crete, set to commence on 15 June 2022
Popular routes to Malaga, Santorini and Zanzibar will also return for summer
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Travellers with Etihad Airways can look forward to a new destination this summer, along with the return of popular seasonal routes to Europe and the Indian Ocean.
Starting 15 June 2022, Etihad Airways will launch a seasonal twice-per-week service to Crete, the largest island in Greece. The flights are set to be operated on an Airbus A320 aircraft and will connect Abu Dhabi to the main city of Heraklion.
Lying in the Aegean Sea, Crete offers travellers a rich tapestry of spectacular landscapes, cuisine and culture, with traditional villages and historic sites dating back thousands of years, such as the 4,000-year old Palace of Knossos.
The airline will also return to Malaga, Santorini and Zanzibar this summer. All four destinations are set to be operated from mid-June.

أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة- لمحبي السفر مع الاتحاد للطيران، وجهات جديدة وأخرى تستأنف الاتحاد تشغيلها خلال موسم الصيف إلى أوروبا والمحيط الهندي.
تُطلق الاتحاد للطيران رحلات موسمة بمعدّل رحلتين في الأسبوع إلى جزيرة كريت، أكثر جزر اليونان، وذلك اعتبارًا من 15 يونيو 2022. ومن المقرر تشغيل الرحلات عبر طائرة إيرباص A320 وستربط العاصمة أبوظبي بهيراكليون عاصمة كريت.
وتتربع كريت على بحر إيجه متيحة للمصطافين الاستمتاع بأجمل الإطلالات الطبيعية والأطباق الشهية والثقافة الغنية الضاربة في أعماق التاريخ بكل ما تحمله من إرث ومواقع أثرية تعود لآلاف السنين مثل قصر نوسوس الذي يُعدّ أقدم قصر في أوروبا ويبلغ نحو 4 آلف عام.
كما ستستأنف الشركة رحلاتها إلى مالقة وسانتوريني وزنجبار. وسيبدأ تشغيل الرحلات إلى الوجهات الأربعة الآنفة الذكر اعتبارًا من منتصف شهر يونيو.
في هذا الخصوص، تحدث مارتن درو، نائب أول الرئيس لشؤون المبيعات والشحن، قائلاً: "يسرّ الاتحاد للطيران توفير مزيد من الخيارات لضيوفها الراغبين في قضاء عطلات مميزة خلال موسم الصيف."
وأضاف: "تُعدّ كريت وجهة مثالية للمسافرين الذين يتطلعون للحصول على تجربة تجمع بين الشاطئ والجبل، وتُشكل تلك الوجهة إلى جانب مالقة وسانتوريني وزنجبار إضافات مميزة على شبكة الاتحاد للطيران لموسم الصيف."
