Unilabs, the leading Swiss diagnostic service provider, has announced that its labs in the UAE have acquired new diagnostic solutions, the first of its kind in the region. Powered by Roche Diagnostics - the world leader in biotechnology-, the innovative diagnostic solutions give access to a broad menu of more than 220 parameters – including many unique high medical value assays to labs.
The announcement was made on the sidelines of Medlabs Middle East 2021, running at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from June 21 to 24. The diagnostic technology is the latest by Roche designed to deliver excellence, while at the same time simplifying daily work.
Unilabs stressed that equipping the network’s labs in the UAE with the new technology is yet another step towards enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of lab and diagnostic services and will surely strengthen the UAE’s competitive position in the healthcare field. This goes in line with the government plans to meet the highest international standards based on technology and artificial intelligence.
The new solution combines clinical chemistry, ISE and immunochemistry testing and is designed to support fast and predictable turnaround times across all assays with a reaction time of 18 minutes or less, with STAT assays having just 9 min reaction time. To offer full transparency, the integrated solution allows the operator to see the time to result per sample and per test as well as the time to last result on all ordered tests.
Mohammed Daoud, CEO of Unilabs Middle East, affirmed that the network takes a great interest in equipping its labs with the latest medical devices to develop its services and create a state-of-the-art lab environment that enhances lab services and empowers physicians to take faster actions, thus enhancing the overall healthcare system.

أعلنت شبكة مختبرات "يونيلابس" السويسرية للمختبرات التشخيصية في دولة الإمارات عن تبنيها أحدث الابتكارات والحلول التشخيصية والتي تعتبر الأولى من نوعها في الشرق الأوسط ، حيث تتيح الوصول إلى خيارات واسعة من التحاليل المخبرية تزيد عن 220 تحليل بوقت قياسي، وذلك في إطار جهودها لاستقطاب أحدث الأجهزة المخبرية المبتكرة بالتعاون مع شركة "روش دیاجنوستيكس" في الشرق الأوسط، ضمن مشاركتها في معرض "ميدلاب الشرق الأوسط" للمختبرات الطبية الذي يقام خلال الفترة من 21 حتى 24 يونيو الجاري في مركز دبي التجاري العالمي.
ويأتي حصول الشبكة على هذه الابتكارات التشخيصية في خطوة تعزز مستوى خدمات التحاليل المخبرية والتشخيص في دولة الإمارات ومكانتها التنافسية الرائدة في مجال الرعاية الصحية، لتلبي أعلى المعايير العالمية القائمة على التكنولوجيا والذكاء الاصطناعي.
وتجمع التقنية الجديدة التي طورتها شركة روش لتحقيق التميز المخبري وتسهيل العمل اليومي للفنيين بين تقنيات الكيمياء السريرية والكيمياء المناعية واختبار الأقطاب الكهربائية الانتقائية للأيونات، ما يساعد في الحصول على شريحة واسعة من نتائج الفحوصات المخبرية، بالإضافة إلى إظهار نتائج الاختبارات البيوكيميائية خلال 18 دقيقة في حين تظهر تحاليل الفحوصات الإحصائية خلال 9 دقائق، كما يتميز الجهاز بقدرته على تقديم نتائج سريعة ودقيقة لجميع الفحوصات والتحاليل المخبرية، إلى جانب معرفة الوقت اللازم للحصول على النتيجة لكل عينة واختبار.
إنشاء بيئة مخبرية حديثة
وأكد محمد داود الرئيس التنفيذي لشبكة "يونيلابس" في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، حرص الشبكة على توفير أحدث المعدات والأجهزة الطبية لتطوير خدمات المختبرات وإنشاء بيئة مخبرية حديثة وتعزيز مستوى الخدمات في المختبرات والتي تقدم دعماً كبيراً في عملية اتخاذ القرارات الطبية والإجراءات العلاجية وتعزز منظومة الرعاية الصحية، ولا سيما مع تقدم تجهيزات المختبرات وتقنياتها واتساع نطاق واختصاصات المختبرات التشخيصية، وإسهاماتها العملية في بناء خطط وبرامج الوقاية والعلاج من الأمراض.
وأوضح داود أهمية التقنية الجديدة في تعزيز كفاءة عمل المختبرات من خلال توفير الوقت والجهد والتكاليف، وتقليل جهود الصيانة، حيث يساعد الجهاز الذي يتميز بسهولة الاستخدام في الحصول على العديد من النتائج والتحاليل المخبرية في وقت قياسي، بالإضافة إلى تقديم نتائج سريعة تمكن الأطباء من اتخاذ إجراءات وقرارات طبية بشكل أسرع، مؤكداً سعي الشبكة إلى استخدام أحدث الأجهزة المخبرية وآخر ما توصلت إليه التكنولوجيا المتطورة في علم الأمراض التشخيصي وأنظمة المعلومات، بهدف رفع مستوى كفاءة عمل المختبرات.
من جانبه، أشار هارالد وولف، المدير العام لشركة روش دياجنوستيكس الشرق الأوسط ش.م.ح.، ان قطاع المختبرات بات يواجه ضغطا كبيرا في الآونة الأخيرة مع ضرورة تحقيق نتائج مخبرية سريعة بالرغم من القيود التي تفرضها محدودية الوقت والمكان والميزانية والموظفين المؤهلين، وضرورة الحفاظ على الجودة والربحية، مضيفاً أن الحلول المتكاملة التي طورتها شركة روش تهدف إلى التغلب على هذه التحديات في مختبرات يونيلابس في دبي وأبو ظبي وتبسيط العمليات المختبرية من خلال أتمتة المهام وتقليل تدخل الفنيين.
