Abu Dhabi, Tuesday 25 June 2019: More than 100 people across Abu Dhabi took part in an Open Day held by the Authority for Social Contribution – Ma’an to learn more about how their new social incubator program will help develop solutions for people of determination.
Held this morning at Zayed Higher Organization, the highly successful event was led by Her Excellency Salama Al Ameemi, Director General of Ma’an, who provided a brief history of the establishment of Ma’an (part of the ‘Ghadan 21’ programme) which aims to develop the third sector in Abu Dhabi and supporting solutions for social challenges.
Sarah Al Haj, Director of Ma’an Social Incubator offered attendees an in-depth insight into the Ma’an Social Incubator (MSI) program as well top tips to help with the application process, with the purpose of motivatating social entrepreneurs to come forward with viable and groundbreaking solutions to societal concerns. Concluding with an interactive Q&A session, guests were able to generate a clear understanding of the program.
Entrepreneurs were invited to hear about the lives of People of Determination at Zayed Higher Organization, with guests receiving a tour of the state of the art facilities and workshops made available to the ZHO students.
H.E. Salama Al Ameemi – Director General of Ma’an, said: “Thank you to everyone who joined us today to hear more about the Ma’an Social Incubator, a program I am incredibly passionate about. This Open Day is one of many stepping stones towards achieving a thriving third sector and enabling Abu Dhabi to become a hub for social entreprenurship and inclusion. This program aims to set the course for Abu Dhabi increasing its number of not-for-profit organizations.
“With our first cycle of the Ma’an Social Incubator focusing on solutions for challenges faced by people of determination, it was a fantastic opportunity to hear first-hand from the Zayed Higher Organization who do such excellent work supporting people of determination day-in and day-out.”
Zayed Higher Organization strives toward achieving an inclusive society where students can excel in diverse spheres of life with practical classes in sewing, carpentary, printing, and art part of the array of varied learning experiences. ZHO students also enjoy the region’s first robotics laboratory with the most advanced equipment aimed at regaining an individual’s movement and mobility. Other therapy classes include hydro therapy and horse riding.

أكثر من 100 شخص في اليوم المفتوح لبرنامج "حاضنة معاً الاجتماعية"
أبوظبي، 25 يونيو 2019- بحضور أكثر من 100 شخص، استضافت هيئة المساهمات المجتمعية – معاً اليوم المفتوح بعنوان "حاضنة معاً الاجتماعية" والذي تناول موضوع تمكين أصحاب الهمم ودعم المشاريع الاجتماعية الناشئة، وذلك بالتعاون مع مؤسسة زايد العليا لأصحاب الهمم.
حيث قدمت سعادة سلامة العميمي، المدير العام لهيئة المساهمات المجتمعية – معاً، نبذة عن الهيئة وأهم أهدافها والمحاور الأساسية التي ترتكز عليها، وشرحت سارة الحاج، مدير برنامج حاضنة معاً الاجتماعية، ورشة عمل حول خطوات التسجيل في برنامج حاضنة معاً الاجتماعية، والذي يتناول في دورته الأولى موضوع أصحاب الهمم، وسبل تمكينهم ودمجهم باعتبارهم جزءا لا يتجزأ من مجتمعنا. واستهدفت ورشة العمل روّاد الأعمال الاجتماعيين، والأشخاص المهتمين بإنشاء مؤسسة اجتماعية أو منشأة أهلية في أبوظبي، يكون غرضها توفير خدمات مبتكرة ومستدامة لتعزيز دمج وتمكين أصحاب الهمم.
وقد حصل الضيوف على فرصة الاطلاع على الخدمات التي توفرها مؤسسة زايد العليا لأصحاب الهمم من خلال جولة تعريفية حول أهم وأحدث المرافق وورش العمل المتاحة التي تقدمها لطلابها. إذ تسعى المؤسسة جاهدة نحو تمكين الطلاب من التفوق في مجالات الحياة المختلفة، وذلك من خلال الدروس العملية في الخياطة، والفن، ومجموعة من تجارب التعلم المتنوعة. كما يحصل الطلاب على أول مختبر للروبوتات في المنطقة بأحدث المعدات التي تهدف إلى استعادة حركة الفرد وتنقله. كما تشمل فصول العلاج الأخرى العلاج المائي وركوب الخيل.
وبهذه المناسبة، صرّحت سعادة سلامة عجلان العميمي، المدير العام لهيئة المساهمات المجتمعية "معاً": "أوجه شكري لجميع الذين انضموا إلينا اليوم لسماع المزيد حول حاضنة معاً الاجتماعية. يعد هذا اليوم المفتوح أحد الخطوات الأساسية لتحقيق قطاع ثالث مزدهر وتمكين أبوظبي من أن تصبح مركزًا للريادة والإدماج الاجتماعي. يهدف هذا البرنامج إلى تحديد المسار لإمارة أبوظبي لزيادة عدد المنشآت الأهلية.
وأضافت: "مع تركيز دورتنا الأولى من حاضنة معاً الاجتماعية على إيجاد حلول مبتكرة للتحديات التي يواجهها أصحاب الهمم، كانت فرصة رائعة للاستماع المباشر من مؤسسة زايد العليا الذين يقومون بهذا العمل الممتاز الداعم لأصحاب هذه الفئة".
