ABB signsa new contract to deliver DC fast chargersfor electric vehicles (EV)in Egyptto help protect the environment and increase EV adoption
In a bid to improve Egypt's EV infrastructure, ABB, theArab Consulting Office andRevolta Egypt have secureda deal to supply a number of Terra 53 multi-standard DC fast chargers for use across the country.
The 500 thousand US dollar deal includes supply, supervision and commissioning of the stations which will bedeployed at NPCO (National Petroleum Company) gas stations throughout Egypt’s national road network, at car dealerships and in busy urban areas.
During the first week of September, thefirst EV DC fast charger was installed at an NPCO gas station located at the beginning of Cairo-Sokhna road, with the remainder due fordeployment and commissioning by the end of 2018.
The Terra 53 multi-standard DC charging station is a configurable single, dual or triple outlet 50 kW fast charging station, operational through a range of temperatures from - 35 to + 55 degrees Celsius. The charging stations are ideallysuited to highway rest stops since they have the capacity to recharge a vehicle within 15 to 40 minutes depending on the battery capacity.

ABB تقوم بتركيب أول شاحن للسيارات الكهربائية في مصر يعمل على التيار المباشرفائق السرعة
وقعت شركة ABB عقدا جديدا مع محطات الشركة الوطنية للبترول والمكتب الاستشاري العربي وشركة ريفولتا مصر لتسليم شاحن السيارات الكهربائية Terra 53 فائق السرعة على التيار المباشر للمساعدة في حماية البيئة وزيادة الاعتماد علي السيارات الكهربائية في مصر.
وتتضمن الصفقة التوريد والاشراف والتشغيل التجريبي للشواحن والتي سوف يتم تركيبها بجميع محطات الوقود المنتشرة بجميع شبكات الطرق المصرية، ووكلاء السيارات المعتمدين، واماكن التجمعات داخل المدن.
وقد تم في شهر سبتمبر 2018 تركيب اول شاحن فائق السرعة على التيار المباشر للسيارات الكهربائية في محطة الوطنية التي تقع علي اول طريق القاهرة - العين السخنة، وسوف يتم تركيب باقى الشواحن قبل نهاية عام 2018.
ويتميز شاحن TERRA 53 فائق السرعة على التيار المباشر بأنه محطة للشحن يمكن تهيئته لشحن حتى ثلاثة مركبات من خلال منفذ بقدرة 50 كيلو واط، ويمكنه تحمل درجات الحرارة حتي أكثر من 55 درجة مئوية. ويعد الشاحن مثالي للاستخدام بأماكن توقف المسافرين علي الطرق السريعة ومحطات الوقود حيث يمكنه شحن المركبات الكهربائية من 15 الي 40 دقيقة حسب نوع بطارية السيارة.
