Investment will enable Classic Fashion Apparel Industry to expand production facilities and increase annual exports beyond 60 million garments
Dubai, UAE – 3 April 2018: NBK Capital Partners and Gulf Capital have partnered for the first time to make a strategic investment in Jordan’s Classic Fashion Apparel Industry Ltd. Co., one of the biggest private sector employers in Jordan with over 24,000 employees. The investment will enable Classic Fashion Apparel to enter the next stage of its development, accelerating the expansion of production facilities.
Founded in 2003, Classic Fashion Apparel has achieved significant growth and is now a recognised global industry player, with an annual turnover of over US$ 450 million. The company has longstanding relationships with global retail giants such as Walmart, Under Armour, Adidas, American Eagle, JC Penney, Hanes and GAP. Producing over 60 million apparel pieces annually and accounting for a 27% share of Jordan’s apparel exports, the company is making a considerable contribution to Jordan’s economy.

The deal marks the fourth investment for the US$160m NBK Capital Partners Mezzanine Fund II that is now more than 50% deployed. Headquartered at Dubai International Financial Centre, NBK Capital Partners has advised on investments of over US$1 billion and has a track record of 17 realizations from 30 investments, the highest number of profitable exits by an alternative investments firm in the region over the past decade.
The investment is the 13th for Gulf Capital’s Private Debt funds and the fifth investment for its Gulf Credit Opportunities Fund II, with nearly 50% of the fund invested across defensive sectors across the Middle East and Africa region.

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 3 أبريل 2018: أعلنت إن بي كيه كابيتال بارتنرز، عن دخولها في أوّل شراكة استراتيجية مع شركة "جلف كابيتال"، وذلك للاستثمار في شركة "Classic Fashion Apparel Industry" المحدودة، وهي واحدة من أكبر الشركات الخاصة في الأردن من حيث عدد الوظائف ويعمل لديها أكثر من 24,000 موظف. وسيتيح الاستثمار لشركة "Classic Fashion Apparel Industry" الانتقال إلى المرحلة التالية من النمو وتوسيع مرافق الإنتاج.
حقّقت شركة "Classic Fashion Apparel Industry"، منذ تأسيسها في عام 2003، نموّاً ملحوظاً وأصبحت الآن لاعباً عالمياً بارزاً في قطاع صناعة الألبسة الجاهزة، حيث يتجاوز حجم مبيعاتها السنوية 450 مليون دولار أمريكي. وتتمتّع الشركة بعلاقات طويلة الأمد مع عمالقة التجزئة العالميين مثل وول مارت، وأندر آرمور، وأديداس، وأمريكان إيجل، وجاي سي بيني، وهانز وجاب، وهي تعتبر أحد أكبر الداعمين للاقتصاد الأردني، حيث تنتج ما يزيد على 60 مليون قطعة من الألبسة الجاهزة سنوياً، ما يمثل 27٪ من إجمالي صادرات الأردن من الألبسة الجاهزة.

من جهته قال سانال كومار، رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب لشركة "Classic Fashion Apparel Industry": "أطلقنا عملياتنا قبل 15 عاماً بكادر وظيفي قوامه 300 موظف و130 ماكينة لتصنيع الألبسة، وكنا نحقق عوائد سنوية لا تتجاوز الــ 2 مليون دولار فقط. أفخر اليوم بإمتلاكنا لقوة عاملة متمرسة تقوم بتشغيل 10,000 ماكينة لتصنيع الألبسة. ومن خلال الشراكة التي تجمعنا مع المستثمرين الإقليميين ’إن بي كيه كابيتال بارتنرز‘ و’جلف كابيتال‘، فإن شركتنا مؤهلة لدخول المرحلة المُقبلة من مسيرة النمو طويلة الأجل".
يذكر أن "إثمار إنفيست" عملت كمستشار مالي ومدير لصفقة الاستثمار في شركة "Classic Fashion Apparel Industry".
وتمثّل صفقة "Classic Fashion Apparel Industry" هذه رابع استثمار يتمّ تنفيذه عبر صندوق إن بي كيه كابيتال بارتنرز ميزانين الثاني الذي جمع استثمارات بقيمة 160 مليون دولار أمريكي، ليصل بذلك حجم الاستثمارات التي نفذت عبر هذا الصندوق إلى أكثر من 50% من إجمالي الأموال المستثمرة فيه. وقامت شركة إن بي كيه كابيتال بارتنرز، التي تتخذ من مركز دبي المالي العالمي مقراً لها، بتقديم مشورة بشأن استثمارات بقيمة تجاوزت المليار دولار أمريكي، وقدمت مشورة تتعلق بإيجاد 30 استثماراً على نطاق عدة قطاعات، وتخارجت من 17 استثمار منها، أكبر عدد من عمليات التخارج المربحة التي تنفذها شركة في مجال الاستثمارات البديلة في المنطقة على مدى العقد الماضي.
كما يعتبر هذا الاستثمار الثالث عشر بالنسبة لصناديق الدين الخاص التابعة لشركة "جلف كابيتال" والاستثمار الخامس لصندوق "جلف كريدت اوبورتشونيتيز II ، حيث تمّ استثمار ما يقرب من 50٪ من إجمالي الأموال المودعة فيه في القطاعات الدفاعية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وإفريقيا.
