Cairo, Egypt: December 4, 2017- Under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Sherif Ismail, Prime Minister of Egypt, H.E. Dr. Aly El Meselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade and General Ahmed Deif Sakr, Governor of Gharbeia, broke ground on the Downtown Delta project in Tanta. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ibrahim Ashmawy, Chairman of the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA), Ashraf Dous, Chairman of Vernbro Global Investment (the commercial developer of the project); Sherif Younes, CEO of Vernbro Global Investment, and Ahmed Demerdash Badrawi, CEO of MARAKEZ for Real Estate Investment. The mixed-use project features the largest and first-of-its-kind commercial, logistic and retail hub outside Cairo and Alexandria, with a total area of 340,000 m2. Vernbro Global Investment was awarded the project after it won the bid by the Internal Trade Development Authority.
Vernbro Global Investment presented its unique project “Downtown Delta” that comprises numerous projects that offer direct and indirect job opportunities exceeding 50,000 jobs. The ambitious project aims to support economic growth of the area, while improving the standard of living for Delta citizens. Downtown Delta's components include: Mall of Tanta developed by MARAKEZ for Real Estate Investment, Vernbro Global Investment is always keen to present the latest technology in the logistic area for pharmaceutical storage, catering to the needs of the locals, a commercial and logistic area contributing in decreasing commodity prices and improving their quality by slashing transport costs and offering wholesale warehouses. The mega project is also complemented by automotive showrooms and service centers, administrative and medical centers, entertainment amenities, a hotel, and a social club to serve the visitors of the commercial area, in addition to a training center, stemming from Vernbro's belief of the importance of investing in human capital.

Adding to the above, these projects will serve as drivers for production, as they offer producers access to logistic warehouses and modern markets to distribute their products, thereby helping in price adjustment and increase production."
Downtown Delta aims to encourage decentralization away from Cairo, while creating a new commercial capital in the Delta, making it a global commercial hub in the near future. It also helps support Egypt’s internal trade due to the project's proximity to the major road networks, which is another advantage of the location, ensuring easy access and mobility to and from major cities. Downtown Delta is only 600 m from the International Road and is projected to be opened by 2020.

القاهرة في 4 ديسمبر 2017- تحت رعاية معالي رئيس الوزراء المصري - المهندس/ شريف إسماعيل، تفضل الدكتور/ على المصيلحى - وزير التموين و التجارة الداخلية، واللواء/ أحمد ضيف صقر - محافظ الغربية بوضع حجر الأساس لمشروع داون تاون دلتا بحضور الدكتور/ ابراهيم عشماوى - رئيس جهاز تنمية التجارة الداخلية، والمهندس/ اشرف دوس - رئيس مجلس ادارة شركة فيرنبرو جلوبال للاستثمار (المطور التجارى للمشروع)، والسيد/ شريف يونس - الرئيس التنفيذى لشركة فيرنبرو جلوبال للاستثمار، والسيد/ أحمد الدمرداش بدراوى - الرئيس التنفيذى لشركة مراكز للاستثمار العقارى. وتأتى أهمية هذا المشروع باعتباره أول وأكبر منطقة تجارية و لوجيستية بمساحة تتعدى 340.000 متر مربع في مصر تقع خارج نطاق محافظتي القاهرة والاسكندرية وقد حصلت شركة فيرنبرو جلوبال للاستثمار علي المشروع بعد الفوز بالمزايدة التى أقامها جهاز تنمية التجارة الداخلية.
