The first in a series of pop-up shows to be held at various heritage sites across Egypt
Sixth of October Development & Investment Company “SODIC”, hosted an opening reception to celebrate the launch of the Eternal Light: Something Old, Something New Exhibition by Nadine Abdel Ghaffar. The exhibition will be on view at Westown Hub for nearly two months.
The art exhibition is organized by Art D’Égypte, featuring a selection of works by renowned Egyptian artists and in collaboration with Cheim and Read, Gypsum Gallery, Karim Francis Gallery, Mashrabia Gallery and The Third Line. Curated by Nadine Abdel Ghaffar, founder of Art D’Egypte, Eternal Light: Something Old, Something New is the first in a series of pop-up shows to be held at various heritage sites across Egypt. It was inaugurated with A Night of Art at the Egyptian Museum where 16 artworks by Egypt’s foremost contemporary artists were displayed against the timeless backdrop of pharaonic artifacts at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
SODIC has been a proud patron of the arts since 2009, supporting numerous endeavors including symposiums, exhibitions, and workshops, most notably through its annual sponsorship of CARAVAN, a traveling exhibition of visual art.

أقامت شركة السادس من أكتوبر للتنمية والاستثمار "سوديك" حفل إفتتاح معرض الفنون التشكيلية الضوء الخالد: شيء قديم وشيء جديد، بتنسيق القيم الفني نادين عبد الغفار ويستمر لمدة شهرين في وستاون هب.
يُنظِم المعرض مؤسسة "آرت دي ايجيبت" بالتعاون مع تشايم & ريد، وجاليري جيبسوم، وجاليري كريم فرنسيس وجاليري المشربية وثيرد لاين، ويضم مجموعة من الأعمال التشكيلية لكبار الفنانين المصريين. تعد معارض الضوء الخالد: شيء قديم وشيء جديد، أول سلسلة معارض تشكيلية مؤقتة تُقام في المواقع التراثية والأثرية في مصر. تم إطلاق أول معرض في هذه السلسلة تحت عنوان "ليلة من الفن في المتحف المصري" وتم خلاله عرض 16 عمل فني لكبار الفنانين المصريين المعاصرين أمام خلفية لآثار مصر الفرعونية الخالدة بالمتحف المصري بالقاهرة.
تفخر سوديك برعايتها للفنون منذ عام 2009، حيث قامت طوال هذه السنوات بدعم ورعاية العديد من المبادرات الفنية الهامة بما في ذلك معارض تشكيلية، وورش فنية، و أكثر من سمبوزيوم للفنون هذا إلى جانب رعايتها لمعرض الكارافان لعدة سنوات متتالية والذي يُعد معرض متنقل للفنون التشكيلية.
وتعليقاً على استضافة سوديك لمعرض الضوء الخالد بوستاون هب، يقول ماجد شريف-العضو المنتدب لشركة سوديك: " تأتي مبادرة سوديك للفنون والتي تمثل الذراع الفني للشركة، ضمن جهودنا لتحقيق شعار الشركة "تطوير الحياة"، بما يتيح لنا دعم الفن المصري، وتنمية الإبداع وإثراء المجتمعات التي نتطورها ".
