This potential cooperation indicates that the maritime services inaugurates a promising significant investment opportunity.
Dubai – United Arab Emirates, 25 October 2017: The Dubai-based Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC, listed on the Dubai Financial Market under “GULFNAV”, continues its rapid commercial and performance success. Gulf Navigation has announced a potential strategic cooperation with “ASMEF” in Abu Dhabi with the intention to establish a joint venture company in rendering services in the Oil & Gas, Offshore, Ship Building/Repairs and Marine Services. This cooperation seeks to expand and develop business and strengthen the national maritime economy.
This potential cooperation is considered as reinforcement towards exploring the future of energy, production and export services, and the positive and attentive transformation taking place in the most important and largest economies in the Gulf region, specifically the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The countries in the Gulf region are planning to invest at least 140 billion dollars in oil and gas and petrochemicals projects in the next 10 years. This investment will be utilized towards the new oil and gas and transportation projects and to support the maritime operations, in order to meet the future growing demand for energy and oil derivatives and to increase the petrochemical production. It is clear that the national transformation programs and initiatives encourages the involvement of the national private sector in the maritime industrial and services sectors.
There are numbers of new and enormous projects in Abu Dhabi that aims at increasing the oil and gas production capacity supported by ADNOC’s innovative and advanced strategy to develop new and high-quality petrochemical products to meet with the increasing demand worldwide, and to increase refinery capacity to create new income resources. Moreover, ADNOC is planning to produce approximately triple the quantity of petrochemicals and high-quality products. This will be achieved by increasing the current oil production capacity of 4.5 million tons per year to 11.4 million tons per year by 2025. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia is planning to increase oil refining capacity from 2.9 million to 3.3 million barrels per day by 2020, as well as, developing and producing high-quality and efficient clean fuel, in addition to maintain the oil production level at 12.5 million barrel per day.

Potential strategic partnership and a promising collaboration
Shamis Al Dhaheri, Board Member of Ali & Sons Holding highlighted the importance of this potential strategic partnership. Gulf Navigation Holding is announcing this potential partnership with Ali & Sons Marine Engineering concurrently with the issuance of Sukuk according to the Islamic Law with a total value of 250 million dollars in order to finance its expansion plans, diversify its investments portfolio and upsurge profits. This step will position the maritime sector as one of the prime investments sectors that surpasses the traditional investment sectors such as, real estates and other services.
Significant Financial Results
According to the company’s latest financial reports, Gulf Navigation Holding has continued its steady financial performance improvement, with net profit reaching AED 12.4 million (US $ 3.4 million) in Q3 of 2017 compared to AED 10.2 million (US $ 2.8 million) in Q2 2017, at a growth rate of 21%.
Buamim clarified, "Gulf Navigation continues to maintain its robust position despite regional economic challenges. Our financial results reflect the strong growth of the maritime sector, which is one of the most important future sectors with a significant role in the sustainable development of the future and post-oil economy of Dubai and the UAE. دبي -الإمارات العربية المتحدة- 25 أكتوبر-2017: تواصل مجموعة "الخليج للملاحة القابضة ش.م.ع"، تحقيق المزيد من النجاحات على صعيد الأداء التجاري، إذ أعلنت الشركة عن إطلاق شراكة مرتقبة مع مصنع علي وأولاده للهندسة البحرية في أبوظبي بهدف تأسيس شركة متخصصة في خدمات إصلاح وتجديد حفارات النفط وأعمال حقول النفط والغاز والخدمات البحرية المصاحبة، في خطوة حثيثة للتوسع وتطوير الأعمال وتعزيز الاقتصاد البحري الوطني.
وتعتبر هذه الشراكة مكملة لتوجه المجموعتين لاستشراف المستقبل للطاقة وعمليات الإنتاج والتصدير والخدمات والتحول الإيجابي والمدروس الذي يحدث في أهم وأكبر الاقتصاديات الخليجية خاصة في الإمارات والسعودية، حيث تخطط دول المنطقة في استثمار ما لا يقل عن 140 مليار دولار أمريكي في مشاريع النفط والغاز والبتروكيماويات خلال السنوات العشر القادمة وسيتم توجيه الاستثمار نحو محطات جديدة للغازوالنفط والنقل ودعم العمليات البحرية لتلبية الطلب المتزايد المستقبلي على الطاقة والمشتقات وزيادة إنتاج البتروكيماويات والملاحظ أن برامج ومبادرات التحول الوطني تدعم إشراك القطاع الخاص الوطني في القطاعات الصناعية والخدمية المتخصصة البحرية وبقوة.
فمثالاً على هذا التحول الاستثنائي والداعم لتكوين تجمع صناعي للشركات الوطنية هناك مشاريع جديدة وجبارة في أبوظبي لزيادة الطاقة الإنتاجية من النفط والغاز مدعوم باستراتيجية أدنوك الجديدة والمتقدمة جداً في تطوير منتجات بتروكيماوية جديدة عالية القيمة لتلبية الطلب المتزايد على مستوى العالم، وزيادة القدرة التكريرية لخلق مصادر دخل جديدة، حيث تخطط أدنوك لإنتاج ما يقرب من ثلاثة أضعاف من البتروكيماويات والمنتجات ذات القيمة الأعلى وذلك برفع طاقة الإنتاج الحالي والبالغ 4.5 مليون طن سنوياً إلى 11.4 مليون طن سنوياً بحلول عام 2025. وكذلك تنوي السعودية زيادة طاقة التكرير النفطية من 2.9 مليون إلى 3.3 مليون برميل من النفط يوميا بحلول عام 2020؛ وتطوير وإنتاج الوقود النظيف ذو كفاءة عالية والحفاظ على ذروة إنتاج النفط عند 12.5 مليون برميل من النفط يومياً.

شراكة استراتيجية وتعاون بنَاء
من ناحيته علَق شامس الظاهري، العضو المنتدب لمجموعة علي وأولاده حول الشراكة مع الخليج للملاحة القابضة قائلاً: "بعد متابعاتنا للأداء المالي والإداري لشركة الخليج للملاحة القابضة خلال الأعوام الماضية، لقد أخذنا بعين الاعتبار سمعة الشركة وعلاقاتها الدولية والخبرة الكبيرة لديها في قطاعات هامة مثل النقط والغاز والقطاع البحري وبذلك قررنا إبرام شراكة مرتقبة معهم".
وأضاف الظاهري: "هذا النوع من الكفاءة هو ما نبحث عنه في مجموعة علي وأولاده لمواصلة نجاحنا وتنمية أعمالنا المتواصلة، ونعتبر أن تجميع القدرات للشركات الوطنية هو الضمانة من أجل وصولنا إلى العالمية وتعزيز مكانة الإمارات كلاعب رئيس في صناعة النفط والغاز والخدمات الملاحية الدولية".
جدير بالذكر أن الخليج للملاحة وهي تطلق هذه الشراكة مع مصنع علي وأولاده للهندسة البحرية تعتزم أيضاً إصدار صكوك وفقاً للشريعة الإسلامية بقيمة إجمالية لا تزيد عن 250 مليون دولار تقريباً؛ من أجل تمويل خططها التوسعية وتنويع محفظتها الاستثمارية وزيادة أرباحها، وهذه الخطوة تضع قطاع الملاحة كإحدى القطاعات الاستثمارية الكبرى التي تنافس القطاعات التقليدية كالعقار والخدمات.
نتائج مالية نوعية
كما أصدرت الشركة أحدث تقاريرها المالية التي تشير إلى استمرار التحسن المطرد في أدائها المالي؛ حيث بلغت الأرباح الصافية 12.4 مليون درهم إماراتي (3.4 مليون دولار أمريكي) في الربع الثالث من العام 2017 مقارنة بـ 10.2 مليون درهم إماراتي (2.8 مليون دولار أمريكي) تم تحقيقها خلال الربع الثاني من العام 2017 بزيادة قدرها 21%.
وتعقيباً على هذه الإنجازات في الربع الثالث من العام 2017، صرح بوعميم قائلاً: "إن "الخليج للملاحة" ماضية في إثبات قوة في مواجهة التحديات الاقتصادية الإقليمية. حيث تعكس نتائجنا المالية النمو القوي الذي يشهده القطاع البحري والذي يعد أحد أهم القطاعات المستقبلية ذات الدور البارز في مسيرة التنمية المستقبلية المستدامة واقتصاد ما بعد النفط في دبي ودولة الإمارات. كما نواصل التركيز على توجهنا الاستراتيجي مع مراقبة واستباق متغيرات السوق. وأريد أن أؤكد أننا دائماً ما نضع عملائنا وشركائنا ومساهمينا في طليعة أولوياتنا، ومعرفتنا البالغة بالسوق، من خلال تطوير محفظة أعمال ذات مقومات تنافسية تسعى إلى الحفاظ على جاهزية وريادة الشركة في الحاضر والمستقبل."
