The 4th Global Business Forum on Africa is set to welcome
five African heads of state, 12 ministers, and more than 1,000 top-level
government and corporate decision-makers and industry experts when the event
takes place on November 1st and 2nd, 2017, in Dubai.
The forum, organised by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce
and Industry, will be held under the theme “Next Generation Africa.” The
two-day event will examine the current economic outlook for the continent, and explore
prospects for its development, as well as investment opportunities and the
potential for forging partnerships between African businesses and their UAE
counterparts.
The event will bring together high-profile attendees such
as H.E. Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda; H.E. Danny Faure,
President of the Republic of Seychelles; H.E. Yoweri Museveni, President of the
Republic of Uganda; H.E. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, President of the Republic of
Mauritius; and H.E. Edgar Lungu, President of Zambia; along with a long list of
ministers, senior government officials, young African entrepreneurs, economic and
industry experts.
H.E. Hamad Buamim, President and CEO of the Dubai Chamber,
noted that the timing of the forum is ideal as Africa is currently witnessing a
sizeable uptick in private-sector led development and investment opportunities.
“This year’s Global Business Forum on Africa is
drawing an unprecedented top-tier attendance, including distinguished African heads
of state and ministers, to discuss a variety of key trends that are expected to
drive Africa’s next phase of economic growth, as well as challenges and
opportunities that fast-growing markets on the continent are experiencing,”
H.E. Buamim said.
The two-day event welcomes a host of ministers from
various African countries, including Benin, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Ghana, Malawi,
Mali, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sudan, Uganda and Zambia.

من رؤساء الدول الأفريقية، و12 وزيراً أفريقياً وأكثر من 1000 من صناع القرار
الحكوميين والمؤسسيين وخبراء القطاع رفيعي المستوى، مع انعقاد الفعالية في 1 و2
نوفمبر، 2017، في دبي.
وسينعقد المنتدى، الذي تنظمه غرفة دبي، تحت شعار "أفريقيا
الغد: جيل جديد من رواد الأعمال". وستناقش الفعالية التي تستمر لمدة يومين
التوقعات الاقتصادية الحالية للقارة، وتبحث في أوجه التطور والتنمية، إضافةً إلى
فرص الاستثمار وتأسيس شراكات بين الشركات الأفريقية ونظيراتها في دولة الإمارات
العربية المتحدة.
وستجمع الفعالية عدداً من الحضور رفيعي المستوى، مثل
فخامة بول كاجامه، رئيس جمهورية رواندا؛ وفخامة داني فور، رئيس جمهورية سيشل؛
وفخامة يوري موسفني، رئيس جمهورية أوغندا؛ وفخامة أمينة غريب-فقيم، رئيسة جمهورية
موريشيوس؛ وفخامة إدجار لونجو، رئيس زامبيا؛ إضافةً إلى قائمة طويلة من الوزراء،
وكبار المسؤولين الحكوميين، ورواد الأعمال الأفارقة الشباب، والخبراء الاقتصاديين
والصناعيين.
وأشار سعادة حمد بوعميم، المدير العام لغرفة دبي، إلى أن
توقيت عقد المنتدى يعتبر مثالياً، نظراً للنمو في القطاع الخاص الذي تشهده
أفريقيا، إضافةً إلى فرص التنمية والاستثمار.
وأضاف سعادة حمد بوعميم: "تستقطب الدورة الحالية من
المنتدى حضوراً من مستويات رفيعة غير مسبوقة، بما في ذلك رؤساء دول ووزراء معنيين،
لمناقشة مجموعة من التوجهات الرئيسية، التي يتوقع لها أن تقفز بأفريقيا نحو
المرحلة المقبلة من النمو الاقتصادي، إضافةً إلى التحديات والفرص التي تواجهها
أسواق المنطقة سريعة النمو".
وستستقبل الفعالية، التي تمتد على مدى يومين، وزراء من
مختلف الدول الأفريقية، ومن ضمنها بنين، وبوركينا فاسو، وغامبيا، وغانا، ومالاوي،
ومالي، ونيجيريا، ورواندا، والسودان، وأوغندا، وزامبيا.
