In line with the previously announced business strategy, Ericsson in Market Area Middle East and Africa announces the appointment of Mathias Johansson as Head of Global Customer Unit (GCU) STC and Head of Ericsson Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
Johansson is now a member of the Market Area’s Leadership Team and his new appointment is effective May 16th, 2017.
Johansson will be based in Saudi Arabia and he will be responsible for driving the company’s business in Egypt and Saudi Arabia markets in addition to driving the company’s business for STC Group within Ericsson.
Ericsson Middle East and Africa President, Rafiah Ibrahim says: "The new leadership team is set to enable our customers’ current and future success with the ambition of becoming more responsive to their needs. Our focus remains to be our customer’s trusted partnerof choice across the Middle East and Africa market and with this new team, I am confident that we will be able to achieve our wanted position."
Prior to assuming his current role, Johanssonheld a number of senior positions, spanning various markets, within Ericsson including Sweden, Taiwan and Ethiopia. His most recent appointment in the company was Head of Ericsson East Africa where he was responsible for running Ericsson’s business within Ethiopia, Sudan and South Sudan.
Johanssonholds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from The Institute of Technology at Linköping University in Sweden.
Ibrahim says: "As we form the new Market Area Leadership Team, I would like to thank those leaving the previous regional Leadership Team. They have taken a key role in driving the company during times of change and we appreciate and value their contributions.”
إريكسون تعين ماتياس جوهانسون رئيسا لإريكسون مصر والمملكة العربية السعودية
تزامناً مع استراتيجية الأعمال التي تم الإعلان عنها سابقاً، أعلنت إريكسون في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا عن تعيين ماتياس جوهانسون رئيساًلإريكسون في مصر والمملكة العربية السعودية والمسؤول عن جميع حسابات شركة STC في اريكسون.
وقد أصبح جوهانسون عضو في فريق القيادة لأسواق المنطقة حيث تولى منصبه الجديد في 16 مايو 2017.
وستكون السعودية مقراً لأعمال جوهانسون وسيكون مسؤولاً عن ريادة أعمال الشركة في أسواق مصر والسعودية بالإضافة إلي ريادة أعمال إريكسون معمجموعة STC.
وتعليقاً على هذا الموضوع قالت رافيه إبراهيم رئيسة اريكسون لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشرق أفريقيا:" إن فريقنا القيادي الجديد سيكون مسؤولاً عن دعم عملائنا الحاليين وقيادتهم نحو النجاح مع المزيد من الطموح لتلبية المزيد من احتياجاتهم. وما زال تركيزنا الأهم وأولويتنا تنصب في سبيل محافظتنا على موقعنا كشريك رائد وموثوق من قبل العملاء على مستوى أسواق الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا، وأنا أكيدة بأن هذا الفريق الجديد سيمكننا من تحقيق أهدافنا التي نرنو إليها".
وقبل تعيينه في منصبه الحالي ، تولى جوهانسون العديد من المراكز الهامة في الأسواق التي تغطيها الشركة ومن ضمنها السويد، تايوان وأثيوبيا، وقد شغل أخيراً منصب رئيس الشركة في شرق أفريقيا لإدارة أعمالها في إثيوبيا، السودان وجنوب السودان.
وكان جوهانسون قد نال درجة الماجستير في الهندسة الصناعية وإدارة الأعمال من معهد التكنولوجيا التابع لجامعة لينشوبينغ في السويد.
وأضافت إبراهيم قائلة: "تزامناً مع تشكيلنا لفريق القيادة الجديد في أسواق المنطقة، أود أن أتوجه بالشكر لكل من كان جزءاً في فريق القيادة السابق. لقد شغلوا مناصب رئيسية في قيادة الشركة خلال أوقات التبدلات والتغيرات التي شهدتها الشركة ونحن نقدر ونحترم مشاركتهم هذه."
