The awards recognised 24 housekeeping, soft facility management and laundry professionals from top UAE hotels
Four winners of the Middle East Cleaning Technology (MECTW) ‘Excellence Awards’ for housekeeping category will be taking a trip to Karcher’s manufacturing factory in Germany. This was announced on the sidelines of Excellence Awards ceremony that identified the ‘achievers’ in the housekeeping, facility management and laundry sector. This year’s awards witnessed an overwhelming participation with over 135 -nominations.
“We will invite the winners in Housekeeping Supervisors and Housekeeping Public Area Attendants category, to see Karcher’s technology development and solutions for cleaning sector first hand, during a visit in our headquarters in Germany. They will be able to participate in discussions and share what the regional industry needs. This is important because they are the end users of the technology we develop for our customers,” said Richard Nouira, Managing Director, Karcher Middle East.
One winner each from Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre Hotel, Atlantis The Palm, Al Bustan Rotana, and Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn (Kuwait) will be provided with an all paid trip that will include factory visit and interaction with engineers and cleaning sector players in Germany. “This is a great chance for our engineers as well, as they will get feedback from people who use our technologies for their daily work,” Richard added.
Speaking about MECTW Excellence Award he said that it is a brilliant platform created by MECTW organisers to bring together industry suppliers with hotels, soft facility management personnel and end users. “The Awards has reached a high level of quality, and is a fantastic means for appreciating this industry. We expect to participate next year too,” he said.
One of the jury member, Tatjana Ahmed, Housekeeping Manager, Functional Specialist Housekeeping, Grand Hyatt Dubai and Chairwoman of the UAE Professional Housekeepers Group, says, “It is of utmost importance that we take care of our rank-and-file and supervisory staff, because they are the ones, who are in direct contact with customers. They also roll out our ever changing procedures, that means they have to learn a lot of new technologies that are introduced and stay on top, which is not easy. Most of the nominated individuals were high achievers, and today’s winners have overcome challenges to provide service excellence.”
The winners are as follows: Soft FM Attendant - Biju Kumar, Cleaner Berkeley Services LLC; Soft FM Team Leader - Rowena Gonito, Housekeeping Supervisor Emrill Services LLC; Laundry Attendants - Sooraj Madatingal Sukumaran, Dry Cleaner, Jumeirah Emirates Towers; Laundry Team Leader - Ranjay Singh, Assistant Manager Grand Hyatt Dubai; Housekeeping Room Supervisor - Dhaneesh Das, Housekeeping Supervisor, Pullman Dubai Crrek City Centre; Housekeeping Public Area Team Leader - Sajesh Karai, Public Area Supervisor, Atlantis The Palm; Housekeeping Room Attendants - Ranjeet Dammai, Housekeeping Attendant, Al Bustan Rotana; Housekeeping Public Area Attendant - Murugesh Paika, Public Area Attendant, Crown Plaza and Holiday Inn Kuwait.
The three-day exhibition came to an end last week at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. “We have been receiving positive response for the Excellence Awards since the debut edition, and this year it was bigger and better. Our aim is to recognise and encourage the unsung heroes of the hospitality, laundry and soft FM industry. MECTW 2016 was a huge success, and equally beneficial to all our partners and exhibitors,” said Jayaraman Nair, Chairman, VIS Exhibitions and Conferences – organiser of MECTW.
Thousands of visitors attended the three-day expo, and also participated in the International Cleaning and Hygiene Conference, the Gulf Laundrex Conference and Gulf Car Wash and Car Care Conference.
أسبوع الشرق الأوسط لتقنيات التنظيف يمنح الفائزين بجوائز التميّز بفرصة زيارة ألمانيا
الجوائز تكرّم جهود 24 من عمّال خدمة الغرف وإدارة المرافق وخبراء غسيل الملابس من أفخم الفنادق في الإمارات العربية المتحدة

شهدت دورة هذا العام من جوائز التميّز في مجال خدمة الغرف وإدارة المرافق وغسيل الملابس ترشيح 135 مشارك من موظفي هذه الأقسام في أرقى الفنادق في المنطقة. ويُنظم أسبوع الشرق الأوسط لتقنيات التنظيف هذه الجائزة لتكريم أصحاب الإنجازات الرائدة في حيث تمنح أربعة من الفائزين بالجائزة لهذا العام فرصة القيام برحلة إلى مصنع شركة ’كارشر‘ في ألمانيا.
وقال السيد ريتشارد نويرة، المدير العام لشركة ’كارشر الشرق الأوسط‘ في هذه المناسبة: "نشعر بالسعادة لمنح هذه الفرصة للفائزين بالجوائز في فئات مشرفي خدمة الغرف وموظفي خدمات المرافق، إذا سيتمكنون من التعرّف على عمليات التطوير والحلول التي تقدمها شركة ’كارشر‘ في مجال التنظيف، تبرز أهمية هذا النشاط بالنسبة لعملية التطوير في الشركة كون هؤلاء الأشخاص هم نفسهم المستهلكون النهائيون لمختلف التقنيات التي نقوم بتطويرها، حيث سيدخل المشاركون في نقاشات وسيعبرون عن آرائهم حيال ما يحتاجه هذا القطاع على المستوى الإقليمي".
وسيحظى فائز واحد من كل من الفنادق التالية، ’بولمان‘، و’أتلانتس النخلة‘، و’البستان روتانا‘ و’هوليدي إن‘ (الكويت) برحلة مدفوعة التكاليف تتضمن زيارة إلى المصنع ومقابلة المهندسين وموظفي قسم التنظيف في مقر الشركة بألمانيا. وأضاف السيد ريتشارد: "تعتبر هذه الفرصة نشاطاً مهماً بالنسبة لمهندسي الشركة هنا أيضاً، حيث تمكّنهم من استعراض آراء وردود الأشخاص الذين يستخدمون التقنيات التي نقوم بابتكارها في أعمالهم اليومية".
وتابع السيد نويرة حديثه عن الفعالية واصفاً أسبوع الشرق الأوسط لتقنيات التكنولوجيا بالمنصة الرائدة للقاء ممولي قطاع النظافة مع المستهلكين النهائيين والأفراد العاملين في الفنادق والمرافق. وأنهى السيد ريتشارد حديثه قائلاً: "لقد بلغ حفل توزيع الجوائز هذا العام مستوىً متقدماً من الجودة، وأسلوباً متميزاً لتقدير جهود العاملين في هذا القطاع، وأتوقع أن نعود للمشاركة العام القادم في هذه الفعالية الرائعة".
ومن جانبها قالت عضو لجنة التحكيم تاتيانا أحمد، مديرة خدمة الغرف وخدمة تنظيف الغرف المتخصصة في فندق ’جراند حياة‘ دبي، ورئيسة مجلس إدارة مجموعة موظفي خدمة الغرف الاحترافية: "من المهم جداً أن نعتني بجميع أفراد طاقم عملنا من مختلف المستويات ومن الطاقم الإداري لدينا نظراً لأنهم يتواصلون مباشرة مع الزبائن. فهم يقومون بمهام تفترض العديد من التحديات المستمرة ما يدفعه للتأقلم بشكلٍ مستمر مع إجراءاتنا المتغيّرة باستمرار، ما يعني أنهم بحاجة لفهم الكثير عن التقنيات المبتكرة حديثاً ويتعرفوا على آخر المستجدات. إن أغلبية الأفراد المرشحين للجوائز هم أشخاص فاعلين جداً، والفائزون اليوم من يتغلبون على تحديّات العمل ليوفروا خدمات متميزة".
وعلق السيد جايارامان ناير، رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة ’فيرتشوال إنفو سيستمز‘ للمعارض والمؤتمرات، والتي تتولى تنظيم أسبوع الشرق الأوسط لتقنيات التنظيف على الحدث: "نتلقى ردود فعل إيجابية على جوائز التميّز منذ إطلاقتها للمرة الأولى، وقد شهدت جوائز التميّز نمواً ملحوظاً على مدى السنوات الماضية لتصبح أكبر وأفضل كل عام. ونسعى إلى إرساء التواصل بين مبتكري التكنولوجيا مع المستهلكين النهائيين لجعل قطاع الضيافة الإقليمي وقطاع التنظيف التجاري من بين الأفضل في العالم من خلال تقدير الخبراء في هذا القسم. وحقق أسبوع الشرق الأوسط لتقنيات التكنولوجيا لعام 2016 نجاحاً ضخماً، وقدّم عوناً كبيراً لجميع العارضين والشركاء في الفعالية على حد سواء".
ومن الجدير بالذكر أن فعاليات المعرض استمرت على مدار ثلاثة أيام واختتمت يوم الثلاثء على أرض مركز دبي الدولي للمعارض والمؤتمرات. واستقبل المعرض خلال أيامه الثلاثة آلاف الزوار، الذين شاركوا في فعاليات معرض ’التنظيف والنظافة العالمي‘، ومعرض ’جلف لوندريكس‘، ومعرض ’جلف كار ووش‘.
