Accolade honours The Sustainable City for Excellence
in Sustainability
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 31st Oct 2016: Diamond Developers, the real estate company behind
The Sustainable City - the Middle East’s first operational sustainable
development located in Dubai - has announced that it has been awarded the
esteemed ‘Star of Business in Sustainability’ accolade, at an event held at
Atlantis the Palm last week.
The prize recognised Diamond Developers as
‘Champions of Excellence’ in their industry sector and was presented to Wassim
Adlouni, Executive Director of Diamond Developers, at the prestigious ‘Stars of
Business’ Awards, powered by the National Bank of Abu Dhabi and Etisalat. The
ceremony featured a glamorous gala dinner, attended by UAE Government
representatives, key influencers and captains of industry.
Wassim said: “It is a great honour to have our work
in sustainability recognised amongst the leading regional thought leaders and
innovators who aspire to provide a positive impact on the world. The
Sustainable City is a living, breathing example of how the principles and ideas
of the global sustainable movement can be successfully accomplished through
stakeholder engagement, innovative design and future monitoring.”
Wassim continued: “As the first development to plan
and implement such concept, overcoming the great challenges faced in an arid
climate. Diamond Developers have demonstrated that if sustainability can be
achieved here and in a profitable way, it can be achieved anywhere.”
The Stars of Business awards are fair, scientific
and audited, and assessed by a jury drawn from the private and public sectors.
Prominent panel members included H.E. Mohammed Al Muhairi, Director General,
Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Magellan Makhlouf, Co-Founder and
Managing Director of CedarBridge Capital Partners, Essam Disi, Director -
Strategy & Policy at Mohammed Bin Rashid Est. for SME Development and Dr.
Valerie Lindsay, Professor at the American University of Sharjah.

الاسبوع المنصرم، كانت "دايموند ديفلوبرز"، المطور الرئيسي لمشروع
"المدينة المستدامة" الرائد على مستوى الإمارات والمنطقة، على موعد
متجدد مع النجاح، بعد الإعلان عن فوزها بجائزة "نجوم الأعمال 2016" عن
فئة الاستدامة، بحضور عدد كبير من كبار الشخصيات والمسؤولين في قطاع الأعمال من مختلف
أنحاء المنطقة.
وتركز "جوائز نجوم الأعمال 2016" في الشرق الأوسط
على تكريم جهود الشركات في العديد من فئات الأعمال والصناعات، والتي يتم اختيارها من
قبل لجنة تحكيم من كبار الخبراء والمتخصّصين، بالاعتماد على معايير تقييم شاملة
ودقيقة.
وقال وسيم عدلوني، المدير التنفيذي
لشركة "دايموند ديفلوبرز": "يسرنا الحصول على هذه الجائزة المرموقة
التي تمثل اعترافًا بريادتنا لمشاريع الاستدامة في المنطقة، وتكريمًا لرؤيتنا
الهادفة إلى إبراز مكانة دبي كواحدة من الوجهات العالمية الرائدة في الحفاظ على
البيئة والحرص على استدامتها. ومن جانبنا، نؤكد لعملائنا الذين اختاروا

يشار إلى أن "جوائز نجوم الأعمال" تنظم سنويًا
وتحظى بالرعاية من قبل بنك أبوظبي الوطني و "اتصالات". ويستحوذ برنامج
الجائزة على أهمية عالمية كبيرة لاستناده إلى عمليات تقييم صارمة لاختيار الفائزين
بعد دراسة مساهماتهم في دفع عجلة نمو الصناعة أو القطاع الذي يعملون فيه.
