Technical tour of region’s first smart, sustainable community in Dubai steals the show at Intersolar Middle East Exhibition 2016
Dubai, UAE, 21st September 2016: The Sustainable City in Dubai, the region’s first fully operational sustainable community, took centre stage at this year’s ‘Intersolar Middle East Exhibition and Conference’ that took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), September 19th - 21st 2016. Attracting widespread attention, The Sustainable City provided this year’s Intersolar official technical tour, for a vast number of energy experts including the Vice President of Tesla Energy Europe and Africa, Ben Hill.
The city, which has around 1,000 residents with more than 200 villas already occupied, was showcased at the ‘City Solar’ stand - one of the contractors involved in its energy and solar solutions and approved by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority – where The Sustainable City’s latest innovations were also showcased.
A number of Intersolar delegates took a technical tour of The Sustainable City, where its real-estate contractor Diamond Developers conducted the tour in the presence of Ben Hill, Vice President, Tesla Energy sales Europe and Africa, along with international delegates. Showcasing the latest in sustainable technologies, visitors were provided with the full experience of day-to-day life in the remarkable city’s villas, with a walk-through of every sustainable element of the city.

The Sustainable City began drawing energy from the solar panels on 1st June, to become the first residential project to produce clean energy in line with Dubai's clean energy strategy - which aims to provide 7% of Dubai's energy from clean energy sources by 2020, and 25% by the year 2030 and 75% by 2050.

[دبي - الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 21 سبتمبر 2016] – استقبلت المدينة المستدامة أول مجتمع مستدام متكامل بمستويات عالمية في دبي وفداً من رواد الطاقة الشمسية المشاركين في فعاليات مؤتمر انترسولار الشرق الاوسط، الحدث الأكبر في المنطقة في مجال الطاقة الشمسية، وضم الوفد مجموعة من الخبراء والمختصين في مجال الطاقة على رأسهم نائب رئيس مبيعات شركة تسلا للطاقة في اوروبا وافريقيا السيد بن هيل، وجرى خلال الزيارة عرض اسلوب العيش المجتمعي المستدام وحلول الطاقة المتجددة المستعملة في المدينة المستدامة، كما اصطحب ممثلو المشروع وفد انترسولار في جولة شاملة في انحاء المشروع شملت المنطقة السكنية، البراجيل، القبب البيولوجية الخضراءبالإضافة إلى المرافق الرياضية والاجتماعية الأخرى.

يذكر ان جناح (سيتي سولار) المقاول الرئيسي لأعمال الطاقة في المدينة المستدامة استقبل العديد من الزوار والمهتمين على مدار الأيام الثلاثة الماضية للتعرف على مواصفات وحلول الطاقة النظيفة في اول مشروع سكني من نوعه في المنطقة والذي ينتج حالياً ما يزيد عن ٣.٤ ميجا واط من الطاقة النظيفة التي يستفيد منها أكثر من ٢٠٠ عائلة مقيمة في المدينة المستدامة.
