The United Arab Emirates took part in the experts meeting for prison employees and decision makers to prepare guidelines to manage inmate affairs and prevent cases of prison violence. The meeting was held at the UN Vienna International Center from 1-3 June.
The UAE delegation was headed by Major Eng. Adel Juma’a Al Maskari, Head of the Strategy and Performance Development Section at the General Directorate of Punitive and Correctional Establishments at the Ministry of Interior, as well as one of the International Auditors Accredited by the American Correctional Association.
The meeting discussed a number of inmate-related topics with the aim of preventing violence in prisons. Major Eng. Al Maskari awarded a commemorative shield to Mr. Aldo Lale-Demoz, Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
الإمارات في اجتماع دولي لخبراء "إدارة شؤون النزلاء"
شاركت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في اجتماع فريق الخبراء حول إعداد دليل إرشادي لإدارة شؤون النزلاء والوقاية من العنف في السجون الخاص بالعاملين بالسجون ومقرري السياسات، الذي عقد في مركز فيينا الدولي التابع للأمم المتحدة خلال الفترة من 1 إلى 3 يونيو الجاري.
وترأس الوفد الرائد مهندس عادل جمعه مبارك المسكري رئيس قسم الاستراتيجية وتطوير الأداء بالإدارة العامة للمؤسسات العقابية والإصلاحية بوزارة الداخلية، والمدقق الدولي المعتمد لدى منظمة الإصلاح الأمريكية.
تم خلال الاجتماع مناقشة عدد من الموضوعات المتعلقة بالنزلاء للوقاية من العنف داخل المؤسسات العقابية والإصلاحية، وقام الرائد المسكري بإهداء درع تذكاري للسيد الدو لايك ديموز نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لمكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بمكافحة المخدرات والجريمة.
