Organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), GSR is an annual event which brings together communication and information technology Ministers, regulators, governmental officials and operators from over ninety countries. Held in a different country each year, the sixteenth edition of the annual event is being hosted by the Government of Egypt under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
