RAK Chamber “The Distinguished Government Entity in Organizational Improvement 2015”

Ras Al Khaimah, UAE - April 4, 2016: RAK Chamber won three organizational excellence awards from Sheikh Saqr Program for Government Excellence Award of 2015. It ranked the 1st in the “Distinguished Government Entity in Organizational Improvement” category.
RAK Chamber for Commerce and Industry was keen to adopt the concept of excellence and achieving it in all fields. It has participated in all excellence awards since their launch as part of Sheikh Saqr Program for Government Excellence, with the aim to realize strengths and opportunities for organizational improvement and development. Therefore an assessment team to assess performance, follow up and facilitate the implementation of the development plans was a necessity.
The tasks of the improvement team included creating a continuous improvement and development plan for the Chamber, studying improvement opportunities from different sources, defining their priorities, developing an integrated work plan including clear performance initiatives and indicators to improve performance, as well as following up the improvement and development plan. The team was headed by Mohammed Al Sabab, Acting Director General of RAK Chamber and included Dr. Ahmed Al Shemeili, Assistant Director General of Business Services and Development Sector as deputy leader, Eman Al Hayas, Assistant Director General of Supporting and Institutional Services Sector, Fatima Al Sharhan, Director of Business Services Department, Fatima Al Mazrouei, Director of IT Department, Na'ima Al Shamsi, Acting Director of Excellence and Strategy Department, and Hessa Al Zaabi, Organizational Excellence Specialist.
RAK Chamber also ranked 1st in the Distinguished Organizational Unit category (Organizational Excellence Unit) for the second consecutive year and 1st in the Secret Customer Result (field visits), including reception, site, performance of customer care staff, procedures, distinguished service, and standards of service.
