Being present for over 60 years now, AIESEC is now considered the world's largest student-run organization. One of the organization’s main goals is to develop high-potential youth into globally minded responsible leaders. AIESEC began in 1948 and it is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. AIESEC exists in more than 100 countries and territories with over 50,000 members aiming peace and fulfillment of humankind’s potential. It is an organization that offers young people the opportunity to participate in international internships, experience leadership and participate in a global learning environment.
Kofi Annan, Former UN General Secretary, said of AIESEC, “In an era of globalization AIESEC’s programs have helped young people around the world to develop a broader understanding of cultural, socio-economic and business-related management issues.”
AIESEC started in Egypt in 1974 and has more than 18 local chapters, developing more than 1500 members from all around Egypt such as Cairo, Alexandria, Suez, Mansoura, Zagazig, Fayoum, Menoufia, Damietta, Sohag, Tanta, Assiout and other governorates and has access to most of their universities.
AIESEC in Egypt has received several awards for achievements and excellence such as UBS Regional Excellence Award 2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011 for the highest performing country in the region, ING Bank leadership Award 2010 for achieving impact, and MENA regional Excellence Award in 2013. AIESEC in Egypt is now in the top five list among all other countries in the global AIESEC network.
As a global organization, AIESEC holds a number of international, regional, and national conferences annually or each quarter of the year. In April 2016, Egypt is expected to receive more than 400 delegates in Sharm el Sheikh, coming from 30 different countries among which are Algeria, Morocco, Jordan, China, Hong Kong, Germany, Lebanon, New Zealand, Netherlands, Oman, Bahrain, Bulgaria, America, Syria, Tunisia, and other countries. These global leaders will attend sessions about leadership, and self-development and will have the space to think about solutions to world issues.
MENA XLDS (Middle East and North Africa Exchange and Leadership Seminar) will be a unique opportunity to young Egyptians and internationals to develop their leadership skills, meet people from all around the world and attend special events such as global village, Egyptian night and Bedouin Night in the desert. As an annual MENA region conference, MENAXLDS was previously hosted by AIESEC in Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and other countries and in 2016 it will be hosted again by AIESEC in Egypt.

MENA XLDS also offers the opportunity to non-AIESEC members to attend sessions facilitated by speakers coming from different backgrounds, professions, and corporates in Global Youth Speak Conference’16. It is an international 4-day event tackling entrepreneurship, career awareness and project management. By this, youth might find their passion in a new field that start paving their new career path.

In order to revive tourism in Egypt, the organizers of this conference are preparing pre and post conference tours for delegates to experience living in Egypt and visiting the touristic attractions such as the ones in Cairo and Giza. They will also have the chance to travel to Alexandria, Dahab, Ras Shitan and other places to witness how amazing Egypt is. With this, international delegates will be able to see Egypt through the eyes of MENA XLDS and live the Egyptian culture to know more about it. It is time to showcase that Egypt is safe and to demonstrate its beauty.
مصر ملتقى الشباب من جميع انحاء العالم… ابريل ٢٠١٦
تعد ايسك من أكبر المنظمات الشبابية بالعالم. تأسست AIESEC منذ أكثر من ٦٠ عاما وهي منظمة عالمية للشباب تطور القدرات القيادية من خلال برامج القيادة الداخلية، وتشرك الطلاب والخريجين في البرامج التدريبية والتبادل الطلابي العالمي للمنظمات الهادفة والغير هادفة للربح. يقع مقرها الرئيسي في هولندا. تتواجد ايسك في أكثر من مائة دولة وتضم حوالي 50،000 طالب وطالبة.
بدأت ايسك في مصر عام ١٩٧٤ وهي الآن متواجدة في معظم الجامعات وفى محافظات مختلفة كالقاهرة، والسويس، والاسكندرية، والمنصورة، والفيوم، والزقازيق، وطنطا، واسيوط، والمنوفية ومحافظات أخرى.
حصلت ايسك مصر على العديد من الجوائز الدولية والإقليمية؛ من أهمها جائزة التميز الإقليمي (2008-2009، 2009-2010، 2010-2011)، وذلك لتقدمها على بلاد كثيرة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال افريقيا. كما حصلت على جائزة ING Bank للقيادة عام 2010.
تنظم ايسك سنوياً عدداً من المؤتمرات الدولية والإقليمية. وسوف تقوم ايسك مصر باستقبال أكثر من 400 شاب وشابة من جميع انحاء العالم لحضور مؤتمر القيادة والتبادل الثقافي بالشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا والذي تستضيفه مصر للمرة الثالثة بعدما عقد السنة الماضية بالمغرب. سيحضر هؤلاء الشباب العديد من الدورات وورش العمل التي تنمى المهارات القيادية وتساعد على التفكير في حلول لمشاكل المجتمع والعالم.
يقول كوفى عنان، الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة سابقاً عن ايسك "في ظل العولمة التي نعيشها الآن، تساعد ايسك شباب العالم على توسيع نطاق تفكيرهم وفهمهم للمجالات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية وغيرها"
MENA XLDS (مؤتمر القيادة و التبادل الثقافي بالشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا) سيكون فرصة فريدة للشباب المصرى والأجنبي لتطوير مهاراتهم القيادية، و التعرف علي شباب من جميع أنحاء العالم، وحضور المناسبات و الحفلات الخاصة مثل القرية العالمية، والليلة المصرية والليلة البدوية في الصحراء. استضاف مؤتمر MENAXLDS من قبل AIESEC في المغرب وتونس ومصر وغيرها من البلدان وفي عام 2016 سوف تستضيفه مرة أخرى AIESEC في مصر و سيعقد بشرم الشيخ. تقول رنا نديم مديرة التسويق والعلاقات العامة للمؤتمر "حضرت MENAXLDS 2013 في لبنان كمندوب من AIESEC الجامعة الألمانية بالقاهرة واليوم أنا جزء من اللجنة المُعدة ل MENAXLDS'16 الذي سيقام علي أرض وطني، وأعتقد أن هذا يشرح مدي تأثير التجربة عليَ "، ، "لقد كان المؤتمر فرصة للتعرف علي ثقافات و عادات و تقاليد مختلفة، ولقد عشت لحظات لا تنسى وكونت صداقات جديدة من جميع أنحاء العالم "
كما يتيح MENA XLDS الفرصة لأعضاء من خارج AIESEC لحضور جلسات تدريبية من قبل متحدثين قادمين من خلفيات مختلفة، ومهن مختلفة، وشركات مصرية وعالمية في المؤتمر الموازيGlobal Youth Speak Conference لمدة 4 أيام الذي سيناقش ريادة الأعمال، و الوعي الوظيفي وإدارة المشاريع.
و يقول محمد كمال السقا، رئيس اللجنة المنظمة لMENAXLDS " نحن نؤمن أننا يمكن أن نلهم جيلنا اليوم أن يصبحوا من القيادات القادرة على تغيير و تحسين المنطقة من خلال MENAXLDS. إن كنت تملك نفس الإيمان والعقيدة، إذاً لديك كل الأسباب أن تكون جزءا من MENAXLDS ".
من أجل إحياء السياحة في مصر، قام منظمي هذا المؤتمر بتخطيط وتحضير رحلات سياحية قبل وبعد المؤتمر للمشاركين به لاكتشاف مصر وزيارة مناطقها السياحية مثل تلك الموجودة في القاهرة والجيزة. سيكون لديهم أيضا فرصة للسفر إلى الإسكندرية، ودهب ورأس شيطان وغيرها من الأماكن ليشهدوا مناظر مصر الخلابة. سوف يُتاح للمشاركين الأجانب القدرة على رؤية مصر من خلال عيون المؤتمر والمصريين وأن يعيشوا الثقافة المصرية. لقد حان الوقت لإثبات أن مصر آمنة والعمل على إحياء السياحة بها من جديد.
