The Chief Executive Officer of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts (MHR), Jean-Gabriel Pérès, has informed the Board of Directors that he intends to step down from the leadership of MHR after 17 years of contribution to the company’s growth and success.
The Board of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts initiated the search for a new CEO, supported by Egon Zehnder Executive Search. A decision is expected to be reached later this year. Jean-Gabriel Pérès will continue to serve as CEO until his successor assumes leadership.
During Jean-Gabriel Pérès’s tenure as CEO, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts underwent a transformative evolution from a mainly European-based hotel company with a leased hotel portfolio to a modern asset-light management company with major presence in Europe and the Middle East and a strong entry into Africa and Asia.
2015 was one of the most successful years to date for Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts as the company signed 12 new management contracts and expanded its operating portfolio by 15 percent. With another 20 properties under negotiation, MHR has successfully established its status as one of the most dynamic players in the upscale hotel segment worldwide.
Going forward, the MHR Board will continue to support the company’s current strategy for continued growth through management contracts. The incoming CEO will be expected to drive value accretive initiatives including the development of commercial activities and the delivery of further system integration, enhanced distribution and active yield management.

بار، سويسرا، 19 فبراير 2016 – بالنيابة عن كل أفراد عائلة فنادق ومنتجعات موڤنبيك يتقدّم المعنيون والمتعاملون مع الشركة ومجلس إدارتها من جان غابرييل بيريز بتقديرهم العميق لالتزامه وإدارته الفعّالة على مدى سنوات عديدة. ويسرّهم جميعا قيام جان غابرييل بيريز بدعم عملية إنتقال القيادة كما سيستمرّ بتقديم خبرته الكبيرة لشركة إدارة الفنادق كعضو في مجلس الإدارة.
وبدأ مجلس إدارة شركة فنادق ومنتجعات موڤنبيك عملية البحث عن رئيس تنفيذي جديد بدعم من مؤسسة إيغون سيندر للبحث عن التنفيذيين. ويتوقّع أن تتوصّل الشركة الى قرار التعيين في وقت متأخر من هذا العام. وسيستمرّ جان غابرييل بيرير في منصبه كرئيس تنفيذي حتى تسلّم خلفه منصب القيادة.
خلال فترة عمله كرئيس تنفيذي لفنادق ومنتجعات موڤنبيك شهدت الشركة عملية تطوّر كبيرة تحوّلت خلالها من شركة فنادق أوروبية المقرّ تضمّ قائمة من الفنادق المستأجرة الى شركة إدارة فنادق حديثة تتمتع بحضور بارز في أوروبا والشرق الأوسط مع توسّع قوي نحو أفريقيا وآسيا.
العام 2015 كان من أكثر الأعوام نجاحا بالنسبة لشركة فنادق ومنتجعات موڤنبيك حيث وقّعت الشركة عقودا لإدارة 12 منشأة جديدة ووسّعت قائمة فنادقها بنسبة 15%. وبوجود مفاوضات لإدارة 20 منشأة إضافية، عززت شركة فنادق ومنتجعات موڤنبيك مكانتها كأحد أبرز اللاعبين في فئة الفنادق الراقية على مستوى العالم.
وسيستمرّ مجلس إدارة شركة فنادق ومنتجعات موڤنبيك في المستقبل بدعم استراتيجية الشركة الحالية للمضي قدما في خطة النمو عبر إبرام عقود للإدارة. ويتوقّع من الرئيس التنفيذي المقبل إطلاق مبادرات قيّمة ومبتكرة من ضمنها تطوير النشاطات التجارية وتوفير المزيد من التكامل في الانظمة وتعزيز قنوات التوزيع والإدارة الفعّالة للدخل.
