After countless rumors circulating some international companies such as Huawei and Intel, about downsizing their premises in Egypt, the minister of Communication and Information Technology, H.E Yasser El Kadi, falsified those rumors in an interview with Khairy Ramadan on CBC.
The Minister has met with representatives of those two companies to discuss expansion plans in Egypt. Both companies have the means to provide the latest in information and communication technology to raise the level of services, as well as to take advantage of this technology in various sectors that affect the daily life of Egyptians.
One of the companies the minister has met with is Huawei in order to discuss its future plans in Egypt. Earlier this year President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has met Sun Ya Fang, President of Huawei's global company during his visit to China last September, where Huawei has emphasized how important and strategic the Egyptian market is within the sector. This company’s branch has been the center for North Africa for over 16 years. This proves that Huawei considers its employees the most valuable asset and it strictly complies with the Egyptian laws and regulations while conducting business in Egypt. Huawei has increased the number of Huawei Egypt staff, especially with the growing investment opportunities currently present. Till this day, Huawei has created 700+ direct and 2000+ indirect work opportunities, offering the local employment market force with ample chances to work, learn and train within the international company.
Intel Corporation is one of the most prominent companies in Egypt that has been committed to the Egyptian market since the revolution in 2011. Intel Corporation, through its standalone business entity Intel Mobile Communications, today announced that it has acquired most of the assets of SySDSoft, a privately held software company based in Cairo and hired approximately 100 of the company’s electrical engineers and computer scientists. The acquisition shows Intel’s continued long-term strategic commitment.
Those companies have a strategic partnership with the Egyptian market and are committed to contributing to local business and the ICT industry ecosystem.
ياسر القاضي يفند شائعات إنهاء أعمال هواوي وإنتل في مصر
قام وزير الأتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات، د. ياسر القاضي، أثر إنتشار العديد من الشائعات التي تدعي أن بعض الشركات الدولية، مثل هواوي وإنتل، بصدد تقليل حجم أعمالها في مصر، بتكذيب هذه الشائعات في مقابلة مع خيري رمضان على قناة سي بي سي.
وقد وصرح سيادة الوزير انه إلتقى ممثلي هاتين الشركتين لمناقشة خططها التوسعية في مصر. ولدى كلتا الشركتين إمكانات تقديم أحدث تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات لرفع مستوى الخدمات، فضلاً عن إستغلال مزايا هذه التكنولوجيا في مختلف القطاعات التي تؤثر على الحياة اليومية للمصريين.
ومن ضمن الشركات التي إلتقاها الوزير شركة هواوي، وذلك لمناقشة خططها المستقبلية في مصر. وقد سبق الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي هذا العام وإلتقى سون يا فانج، رئيسة هواوي العالمية، خلال زيارته للصين في سبتمبر الماضي، حيث أكدت هواوي على أهمية السوق المصرية وإستراتيجيتها بالنسبة للقطاع. وفرع هذه الشركة في مصر هو المركزً لإقليم شمال أفريقيا على مدار 16 عامًا، الأمر الذي يثبت أن هواوي تعتبر موظفيها أقيم مورد بالنسبة لها، وهي تلتزم تمامًا بالقوانين واللوائح المصرية أثناء قيامها بعملها داخل مصر. وقد زادت هواوي من عدد موظفيها في مصر، ولا سيما مع تنامي فرص الأستثمار الحالية. وحتى اليوم، قامت هواوي بخلق أكثر من 700 فرصة عمل مباشرة وأكثر من 2000 فرصة عمل غير مباشرة، وقدمت للقوى العاملة المحلية فرصًا كافية للعمل والتعلم والتدريب داخلها كشركة عالمية.
وتعتبر شركة إنتل إحدى أشهر الشركات في مصر الملتزمة بدفع السوق المصرية منذ ثورة 2011. وقد أعلنت اليوم شركة إنتل، من خلال شركتها المستقلة، إنتل موبايل كوميونيكشنز، أنها إستحوذت على معظم أصول شركة سيس دي سوفت، وهي شركة برمجيات خاصة مقرها القاهرة، وقامت بتعيين نحو 100 من مهندسي الكهرباء والكمبيوتر فيها. ويؤكد الأستحواذ إلتزام إنتل المستمر وفقًا لأستراتيجية طويلة الأمد.
ولدى هاتين الشركتين شراكة إستراتيجية مع السوق المصرية، وهما تلتزمان بالإسهام في بيئة الأعمال وصناعة تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات المحلية.
