Halul Offshore Services Company Brings First Ship Handling Simulator to Qatar


Dubai, November 23 -- Halul Offshore Services Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Milaha, has recently procured a state-of-the-art Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) Ship Handling Simulator, which is the first of its kind in Qatar. Halul is now one of the few companies in the Gulf region to own the Netherlands-built simulator, which is normally used in training schools. Chairman of Milaha, HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, Milaha’s President and CEO, Mr. Abdulrahman Essa Al-Mannai, Halul’s CEO, Mr. Vivek Seth, accompanied by the management teams attended the inauguration of the simulator which was followed by a presentation of its capabilities.
Milaha’s President and CEO, Mr. Abdulrahman Essa Al-Mannai said: “The use of such modern equipment affirms our longstanding commitment to provide the highest level of training to our staff. This simulator supports the development of our operational capabilities, and will allow Halul to continue to provide innovative solutions to our partners and clients in Qatar and beyond, particularly in today’s challenging market.”
For his part, Halul’s CEO, Mr. Vivek Seth said: “This simulator will significantly add to our crew’s ship handling skills, and help them become better prepared for their next assignment on board our fleet of over 40 vessels. We continue to show our commitment to develop our team and provide a safe and reliable operation for our clients.  Technically speaking, with this simulator we can create scenarios for towing operations like rig moves, berthing, unberthing, and tanker assist operations offshore. The simulator has an option to program for both azimuth and conventional driven vessels. We also have a dynamic positioning system integrated with the simulator.”
In addition to the simulator training, Halul continues to provide other forms of practical on-board training to its crew. This covers safety drills, mooring, unmooring, and dynamic positioning system familiarization, among other operations.


شركة حالول تتبنى أول جهاز محاكاة قيادة السفن في قطر 

دبي، ٢٣ نوفمبر 2015 --تبنّت شركة حالول للخدمات البحرية المملوكة بالكامل لشركة ملاحة جهاز محاكاة متطور لتشغيل سفن الدعم البحري وهو الأول من نوعه في دولة قطر. وأصبحت شركة حالول إحدى الشركات القليلة في منطقة الخليج التي تقتني هذا الجهاز المصنوع في هولندا كونه يستعمل عادةً فى معاهد التدريب. وقد حضر حفل تدشين الجهاز سعادة الشيخ علي بن جاسم آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس إدارة ملاحة، والسيد/عبدالرحمن عيسى المناعي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة ملاحة، والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة حالول السيد/فيفيك سيث بالإضافة إلى كبار مدراء و كوادر الشركة. وتبع الحفل عرض عن أهم إمكانيات جهاز المحاكاة.
وقال السيد/عبدالرحمن عيسى المناعي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة ملاحة: "إن إستعمال شركة حالول لهذا الجهاز المتطور هو تأكيد على التزامنا المستمر بتقديم أفضل أنواع التدريب لكوادرنا. وسيطور هذا الجهاز من قدراتنا العملية كما أنه سيساعد شركة حالول على متابعة تقديم حلول مبتكرة لعملائنا بهدف تلبية متطلباتهم خاصة في ظل سوق مليئة بالتحديات كما هي الحال اليوم."

ومن جهته، قال الرئيس التنفيذي لحالول السيد/ فيفيك سيث: "سيزيد جهاز المحاكاة هذا من قدرات طواقمنا على قيادة السفن بشكل كبير وسيساعدهم على التحضير بشكل أكبر للعمل على متن سفننا المتنوعة التي يتجاوز عددها الأربعين. ويشكل هذا الجهاز إلتزاماً منا بتطوير فريق عملنا وتقديم خدمات امنة يمكن الإعتماد عليها لعملائنا. من الناحية التقنية، يستطيع هذا الجهاز محاكاة تشغيل سفن السحب وخدمات منصات النفط والتدريب على كل انواع المناورات البحرية في ظل احوال الطقس المختلفة ,بالإضافة إلى مساعدة ناقلات النفط والغاز في البحار، كما لدينا خيار إستخدام تقنية مراوح الدفع التقليدية أو القابلة للدوران 360 درجة , بما فيها محركات الدفع النفقي والقابلة للسحب. وقد تم تزويد جهاز المحاكاة بنظام تحديد مواقع ديناميكي." 

بالاضافة إلى جهاز المحاكاة، تستمر شركة حالول بتقديم أحدث التدريبات العملية لطواقمها على رأسها عمليات السلامة وأنظمة تحديد المواقع الديناميكية.
