This October will witness the kickoff of the fifth anniversary season for Egypt’s one-of-a-kind motorcycle and scooter rally from the coastal city of Alexandria.
The 2015 and fifth anniversary season of Cross Egypt Challenge will start on October 23rd, 2015 and will last for 9 days. The 2,200 km route of this year will begin from the Mediterranean's largest coastal city, Alexandria then head south to the old oasis of Fayoum - now a modern city - en route to the Red Sea Riviera to explore the amazing resort cities of Ain Sokhna and Hurghada. The challenge will then head west and cross the Egyptian Eastern desert - one of the toughest deserts on the face of the planet - to reach the Nile valley and visit the ancient city of Luxor, the world's largest open air museum city, and the capital of Ancient Egypt where the participants will spend two days in celebration of the rally's 5th anniversary.
From Luxor the riders will head back east and cross the Egyptian Eastern desert for the second time, however through a different route to reach the amazing diving city of Marsa Alam where they will camp by the sea. From Marsa Alam, the challenge will head back north to make one last stop at El Gouna before the last stage of the 2015 season of Cross Egypt Challenge takes place between El Gouna and Cairo to end the new season under the Great Pyramids of Giza.

ABOUT CROSS EGYPT CHALLENGE
Cross Egypt Challenge is an international series of endurance motorcycles and scooter rallies conducted throughout the most challenging roads and tracks of Egypt, a breathtaking experience that is equally fascinating for spectators and riders alike.
Cross Egypt Challenge is the only organized cross-country rally of its kind in the entire region and combines the best of adventure travel and extreme sport. Each season of the endurance rally introduces a new route throughout the most famous spots of Egypt; a track that nobody ever thought could be done on motorcycles or scooters. The rally is organized by the Rotary Club of Alexandria Cosmopolitan with the cooperation of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, the Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt and under the supervision of the Egyptian Ministry of tourism.
The series started in 2011 and the first season was a 9 days rally from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in the North of Egypt to the temple of Abu Simbel, on the southern borders of Egypt with a total distance of over 1,700 km.
The 2012 season included a 2,400 km route starting from Egypt’s famous capital and passing through the most exotic oases of the Egyptian western desert before ending the season in the world’s largest open-air museum, the city of Luxor.
The 2013 season of Cross Egypt Challenge also witnessed a 2,400 km route starting from Egypt’s famous coastal city Alexandria and passing through the Egyptian Eastern and Western deserts before ending under the Great Sphinx in Giza.
Last season witnessed participants from 11 different countries and had the longest route to date with a 3000 km total distance that started from Alexandria in the very north of Egypt and finished at the Great Pyramids of Egypt after going all the way south to Abu Simbel and back.
ABOUT JOAO REBELO MARTINS
A marketing and communication consultant, a Rotarian, a go-Kart champion, a traveller, and a professional racer, João Rebelo Martins brings proud to his racing team, RoadGalaxy of Portugal with his many talents.
Joao started driving go-karts at the age of 8, started driving for the first time at the age of 10 and had his first crash at the age of 15! With such an early start in the motorsport world, his actual racing career started when he was 18, and for the past 15 years he raced almost everything from a Fiat Uno 1.0 to an Oreca LMPC.
Joao won his first race in 2001, and in 2003 he won his first championship title. In 2005 he started to race classic cars and prototypes and won many races all long these years. Joao worked and tested cars with many famous teams including Le Mans Team, Ginneta Portuguese Team and Aston Martin Portuguese team. In 2013 he won the FEUP 3 Touring Trophee championship with an Alfa Romeo and in 2014 he made the Portuguese rally cross with a Peugeot S2000 and won the first race of the championship.
Beside his racing career, Joao also loves to travel and experience new cultures. He created his blog “No More Missing All” to document his travel stories and new experiences.
ABOUT OMAR MANSOUR
Born in 1973, Omar Mansour comes from a famous Bedouin tribe in the west of Alexandria. Since his young age, he was passionate about motorcycle and travels.
By combining his two passions, he went on his first long journey around Egypt in 1996 for three months.
In 2011 he took off on his first international journey, where he packed his motorcycles and rode between Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Greece, Italy and finished in France. A couple years later, he went back to his finish line to complete his journey and include the rest of Europe.
In the following years he rode across the USA from North to South, west to East and through Europe again. In 2007 he was the first Egyptian and Arab person to complete a trans-African tour and ride across Africa on a motorcycle. He started his journey from the most Southern pint in the black continent (Cape Agulhas) in South Africa and rode all the way to Egypt. A journey that took over three months and was conducted with a message of unity for all African nations “One Africa”.
Omar just finished his long trip to the North Cape to be the first Egyptian and Arab person to reach the North Cape on a motorcycle. Omar does motivational speaking at conferences and seminars. His travels were featured in National TV, press articles, newspapers, blogs and websites.

يشهد أكتوبر الحالى انطلاق الموسم الخامس لأشهر رالى دراجات ناريه فى مصر من مدينة الإسكندريه.
سيبدأ الموسم الجديد من رالى تحدي عبور مصر في ۲۳ أكتوبر ۲۰۱٥ ويستمر لمدة تسعة أيام، بإجمالي مسافة قدرها ۲۲۰۰ كيلومتراً.
سينطلق الرالي هذا العام من أكبر مدن البحر المتوسط الساحلية؛ مدينة الإسكندرية، و يتجه جنوبا الى الفيوم – المعروفه بواحة الفيوم قديما فى طريقه إلى ريفيرا البحر الأحمر حيث يتجه المشاركون جنوبا بمحاذاة ساحل البحر الأحمر للتوقف فى المدن رائعة الجمال العين السخنه و الغردقه ثم يتجه الرالي بعد ذلك غربا و يقطع الصحراء الشرقيه فى اتجاه وادي النيل لزيارة مدينة الأقصر الساحره، و عاصمة مصر القديمة والتي تعتبر أكبر متاحف العالم المفتوحة، حيث سيقيم بها المشاركون لمدة يومين إحتفالا بالموسم الخامس لرالي تحدي عبورمصر.
ومن الأقصر سيتجه المشاركون شرقا و سيقطعون الصحراء الشرقيه مره أخرى – و لكن عبر طريق مختلف ليصلوا إلى مرسى علم الشهيره برياضة الغطس حيث سيخيمون على شاطىء البحر الأحمر. و من مرسى علم سيتجه الرالى شمالا للتوقف مره أخيره بالجونه و التى سينطلق منها المرحله النهائيه من الرالى فى اتجاه القاهره ليختتم الرالى موسمه الخامس في المكان الأكثر قدسية بمصر؛ تحت سفح أهرامات الجيزة العظيمة.
و يقام الرالى هذا العام برعاية سيتى سنتر الاسكندريه، الذي تمتلكه وتديره ماجد الفطيم، و الذى يستضيف حفل انطلاق الرالى الذى يعد من أهم الأحداث بالإسكندريه يوم الخميس ۲۲ أكتوبر ۲۰۱٥ . وسيشارك بالرالى هذا العام المتسابق البرتغالى الشهير جوا ريبيلو مارتينز و الرحاله المصرى عمر منصور أول مصرى و عربى و إفريقى يعبر قارة أفريقيا بدراجه ناريه و أيضا العديد من المشاركين من: الولايات

نبذه عن رالى تحدى عبور مصر
تحدي عبور مصر هو رالى دولى لقيادة الدراجات الناريه و دراجات الفسبا الصغيرة عبر أكثر الطرق تحديًا وصعوبة في مصر. و يمثل التحدى مغامره خلابه لمحبى ركوب الدراجات الناريه و السفر على حد سواء. و يعتبر الرالى الوحيد المنظم من نوعه فى الشرق الأوسط.
و يقوم بتنظيم الرالى نادى روتارى الإسكندريه كوزموبوليتان بالتعاون مع هيئة تنشيط السياحه و نادى السيارات و الرحلات المصرى و
تحت إشراف وزارة السياحه.
بدأ الرالى فى عام ۲۰۱۱ و استمر الموسم الأول تسعة أيام و تم خلالها قطع ۱۷۰۰ كيلومتر بداية من شواطئ البحر المتوسط شمال مصر حتى معبد أبو سمبل قرب حدود مصر الجنوبية، بمشاركة خمس عشرة من راكبي الدراجات الناريه من أربع دول مختلفة.
و فى موسم ۲۰۱۲ من رالى تحدي عبور مصر قطع المشاركون مسافة ۲٤۰۰ كيلومتر بدأت من عاصمة مصر القاهرة التي تحتوي ميدان التحرير أشهر ميادين العالم الآن، و مرورا بأجمل واحات الصحراء الغربية؛ قبل انهاء رحلة الرالى الشاقه فى مدينة الأقصر أكبر المتاحف المفتوحة في العالم.
و فى موسم ۲۰۱۳ أيضا قطع المشاركون مسافة ۲٤۰۰ كيلومتر بدأت من مدينة الإسكندريه الساحليه و مرورا بصحراء مصر الغربيه و الشرقيه قبل إنهاء الرالى تحت أقدام أبو الهول بالجيزه.
و شهد موسم ۲۰۱٤ مشاركين من ۱۱ دوله مختلفه و كانت مسافته هى الأطول فى تاريخ الرالى و تقدر ب ۳۰۰۰ كم حيث بدأ الرالى من مدينه الإسكندريه و وصولا جنوبا إلى أبوسمبل قبل العوده ثانيا إلى القاهره لإنهاء الرالى عند أهرامات الجيزه.
نبذة عن المتسابق البرتغالى جوا ريبيلو مارتينز
مستشار تسويقى، عضو فى الروتارى، بطل لسباقات الجو كارت، رحال و متسابق محترف، جوا ريبيلو مارتينز يمثل حجر أساس و مصدر فخر لفريق السباق البرتغالى رود جالاكسى بمهاراته المتعدده.

نبذة عن الرحاله عمر منصور
ولد عمر منصور فى عام ۱۹۷۳ لقبيلة الفردى البدويه الشهيره و التى تقطن غرب الإسكندريه. و منذ سنواته الأولى بدأعمر منصور عشقه للدراجات الناريه و السفر و الترحال.
و فى عام ۱۹۹٦ دمج عمر منصور هواياتاه الاثنان و قام بأول رحله له حول مصر على دراجته الناريه و التى استغرقت ثلاثة أشهر كامله.
و فى عام ۲۰۱۱ قام بأول رحله دوليه له حيث قام بقيادة دراجته الناريه بين مصر، الأردن، سوريا، تركيا، اليونان، إيطاليا وأنهى رحلته فى فرنسا التى عاد إليها بعد عامان ليكمل رحلته حول باقى مدن أوروبا.
فى السنوات اللاحقه قام عمر منصور بقطع الولايات المتحده الأمريكيه من الشمال إلى الجنوب على دراجته الناريه و فى عام ۲۰۰۷ أصبح أول مصرى و عربى و إفريقى يعبر القاره السوداء قارة إفريقيا على دراجه ناريه حيث قام بالقياده من أقصى نقطه جنوبيه بإفريقيا (كيب أجولس) إلى الإسكندريه بمصر فى رحله إستغرقت ثلاثة أشهر و كانت تحمل رسالة: "أفريقيا واحده للكل".
عمر مازال يعشق ركوب الدراجات الناريه و الترحال و ما زال يقوم بالعديد من الرحلات الطويله. تم نشر مقالات و لقاءات عن رحلات عمر فى العديد من محطات التليفزيون والجرائد و المجلات.
