Arabian Cement Company (ACC) announced today the names of the final winners of “Khaleeha Suessi” program. In the presence of Mr. Al Arabi Al Serwi, Governor of Suez, Jose Maria Magrina, ACC Chief Executive Officer and Loay El-Shawarby, Chairperson of Nahdet El Mahrousa revealed the names of the six projects that will be offered seed funding as well as one-year incubation at Nahdet El Mahrousa. The announcement was made in Suez governorate, with senior officials from ACC attending, including Elena Inés Bertolín Pérez, Deputy Manager of Cementos la Unión - the main shareholder of ACC, and Salvador Viguer Roger, Board Member of ACC.
“Khaleeha Suessi” was launched in June 2015 to promote positive social impact and employment opportunities by providing entrepreneurs with the tools needed to successfully establish their own social startups. The winning projects vary between environmental friendly industrial/agricultural ventures, cultural/social ventures and educational ventures. To qualify for the incubation phase, there were several criteria that the winning projects had to meet. These criteria included offering an innovative business idea that has the potential to become scalable and sustainable, and have social impact in Suez.
“On behalf of the entire ACC team, I’m pleased that the program is moving forward in such a positive way," said Jose Maria Magrina, ACC CEO. "Through our various meetings with the teams we see that they are learning valuable information that they will be able to take with them and use with their startup company. It is one of our main objectives: to be able to train and teach budding entrepreneurs to directly affect and benefit their community and country as a whole.”
Over the past four months, the program offered guidance for the applicants to support them in developing comprehensive proposals for their start-up. The final proposals of the applicants were considered by a panel of six experts including Eng. Fernas El Hakim, Governmental Affairs Director at ACC; Angy Samad, Marketing Manager at ACC; Dr. Ahmed Huzayyin, Co-founder of Cleantech Arabia; Dr. Ayman Ismail, Assistant Professor at the American University in Cairo; Tamer Mostafa, Chief Accountant at Nahdet El Mahrousa; and Jackie Kameel, Managing Director of Nahdet El Mahrousa.
“At NM, we leverage the ideas and power of social innovators to tackle the pressing challenges in the communities where we operate,” said Loay El-Shawarby, Chairperson of Nahdet El Mahrousa. “We believe Egypt’s young professionals have what it takes to succeed. As such, we offer a platform for building social enterprises, along with a solid support network, to help turn dreams into reality.”
At the end of the one-year incubation period, each project will be granted its allocated seed funding, as a means of supporting each team to successfully kickoff their business, using the skills and knowledge offered to them by “Khaleeha Suessi”.

Suez Tire Recycling Factory will work on recycling the rubber and steel from wasted tires; with the aim of alleviating the harmful effect on the environment, caused by the traditional way of disposing of these tires, which is burning them. This factory will be the first of its kind across Egypt and North Africa. The only other workshop that offers tire recycling is located in Meet El Haroon, Al Gharbia Governorate in Egypt. However, this workshop does not apply the latest techniques in its operations.
The team of Suez Tire Recycling Factory, in collaboration with the workshop located in Meet El Haroon, was able to design and manufacture machines that enhance and develop the tire recycling process, and increase the daily outcome of steel and rubber quantities. This will help in increasing the productivity of the rubber and steel recycling factories that are operating on 40-60% of their capacity due to the shortage of supply.

Through limiting the use of industrial components in manufacturing pharmaceuticals, dyes, preservatives, food and packaging, WEEDA is promoting a healthier, more environmental friendly industrial alternative. WEEDA’s concept will not only produce high quality products that are based on a natural source, but will also offer them for prices that are lower than the other options in the market.
WEEDA’s targeted client base will be fish food factories, pharmaceutical factories, restaurants and nutritional supplement manufacturers.

Al Maa’deya is an independent cultural center that aims at bringing cultural events and activities to Suez. With Cairo being the nearest spot to the people of Suez who wish to engage in/attend cultural activities, Al Maa’deya’s team is set to allow the governorate easier access these various activities.
Al Maa’deya will work on organizing book fairs, establishing a library along with a reasonably priced bookstore, music events and poetry readings, in addition to organizing affordable workshops and courses in various fields.
Al Maa’deya’s team will also work closely on building the capacity of street children, through teaching them handicrafts, languages and building their capacity to deal with the society.
Al Maa’deya will be separated into two areas, one for the library, workshops and courses, and a larger area housing the theatre.

Dynergy aims at alleviating Egyptian farmers' burdens through the introduction of alternative and renewable energy. The project will rent out solar-powered water pumps to farmers during irrigation season. The pumps will cost the same to rent as the gas-powered pumps, but will not be affected by gas prices or availability, and will also be delivered to the farmers upon request. The model ensures that farmers won’t need to worry about maintenance or spare parts. The project will create employment opportunities in each agricultural region, in addition to training the workers on the techniques of shipping, assembling, operating and maintaining the pumps.

Biogas builds units that produce the biogas, which can be used in energy generation. The biogas is produced using recycled materials. Biogas project aims at supporting the underprivileged through offering them means to sustainably fulfill their energy needs with affordable prices.
The Biogas and organic materials that are produced by these units can have many uses like cooking, lighting and generating electricity. They also produce organic fertilizers that can be used in agriculture to enriching the soil and prevent the harmful effect of industrial fertilizers.
The project will help reduce the reliance on expensive fossil fuel based energy sources and expensive industrial fertilizers.
الشركة العربية للأسمنت تعلن أسماء الفائزين في برنامج "خليها سويسي" للمشروعات الناشئة

أعلنت الشركة العربية للأسمنت اليوم أسماء المشروعات الفائزة في برنامج"خليها سويسي" بحضور السيد اللواء/ العربي السروي- محافظ السويس، والسيد/ خوسيه ماريا ماجرينا- المدير التنفيذي للشركة العربية للأسمنت، والسيد/ لؤي الشواربي، رئيس مجلس إدارة جمعية نهضة المحروسة، حيث أعلنت الشركة أسماء ستة مشروعات ناشئة ستتمكن من الحصول على التمويل المبدئي اللازم لإقامتها، بالإضافة للدخول في حاضنة مشروعات جمعية نهضة المحروسة لمدة عام.
تم الإعلان عن المشروعات الفائزة في محافظة السويس بحضور عدد من كبار المسئولين في الشركة العربية للأسمنت، من بينهم ايلينا اينيث بيريث، نائب مدير شركة سمنتوسلا يونيون- الشركة الأسبانية المالكة للحصة الحاكمة في الشركة العربية للأسمنت، والسيد/ سلفادور بيجور روجر- عضو مجلس إدارة الشركة العربية للأسمنت.
انطلق برنامج "خليها سويسي" في يونيو 2015، بهدف تحقيق تأثير ايجابي على نطاق واسع في المجتمع السويسي، من خلال خلق فرص عمل متنوعة، وإمداد رواد الأعمال الناشئة بكافة الأدوات اللازمة لإنشاء مشروع مجتمعي له تأثير قوي وملموس في المجتمع المحلي.
وتتنوع مجالات المشروعات الفائزة في البرنامج حيث تشمل مشروعات صناعية وزراعية صديقة للبيئة، ومشروعات ثقافية واجتماعية، ومشروعات تعليمية. ولكي تتأهل تلك المشروعات للدخول في حاضنة مشروعات جمعية نهضة المحروسة، وضعت لجنة المسابقة عدداً من المعايير التي يجب على المشروعات الفائزة أن تلبيها، ومن بين هذه المعايير أن تكون الأفكار المقدمة أفكاراً مبتكرة وتمثل نواة لمشروعات مستدامة قابلة للنمو والتوسع مستقبلاً، مع قدرتها على إحداث تأثير مجتمعي ملموس في السويس.
وتعليقاً على الإعلان عن أسماء المشروعات الفائزة، قال السيد/ خوسيه ماريا ماجرينا- المدير التنفيذي للشركة العربية للأسمنت: "بالنيابة عن جميع العاملين في الشركة العربية للأسمنت، أود التعبير عن سعادتي بالتقدم الكبير الذي أحرزه برنامج "خليها سويسي" بهذا الشكل المتميز وخلال تلك الفترة القصيرة. فخلال اجتماعاتنا المتتالية مع الفرق المشاركة في البرنامج، لاحظنا مدى استفادتهم من المعلومات القيّمة التي تمكنوا من تحصيلها خلال مراحل البرنامج، وهو ما سيقومون بتنفيذه في مشروعاتهم الناشئة التي نتمنى لها كل النجاح. إنّ من أهدافنا الرئيسية في هذا البرنامج أن نتمكن من تدريب وتعليم رواد الأعمال الصغيرة والمشروعات الناشئة، بحيث يؤثر ذلك بشكل إيجابي ومباشر على مجتمعاتهم المحلية والمجتمع المصري بشكل عام."
وعلى مدار الأشهر الأربعة الأخيرة، قام البرنامج بتوجيه وإرشاد المشاركين فيه، لدعمهم ومساعدتهم في تقديم مقترحات متكاملة لمشروعاتهم الجديدة. وقد تم تقديم المقترحات النهائية للمشروعات الناشئة إلى لجنة تحكيم متخصصة ضمت ستة خبراء هم المهندس/ فرناس الحكيم- مدير عام العلاقات الحكومية في الشركة العربية للأسمنت، السيدة/ إنجي صمد- مدير التسويق في الشركة العربية للأسمنت، د. أحمد حزيّن- الشريك المؤسس لشركةCleantech Arabia، د. أيمن اسماعيل- الأستاذ المساعد بالجامعة الأمريكية في القاهرة، السيد/ تامر مصطفى- المحاسب الرئيسي في جمعية نهضة المحروسة، والسيدة/ جاكي كميل- العضو المنتدب لجمعية نهضة المحروسة.
ومن جانبه، يضيف السيد/ لؤي الشواربي، رئيس مجلس إدارة جمعية نهضة المحروسة "تسعى نهضة المحروسة لتحقيق الاستفادة المرجوة من الأفكار والطاقات الإبداعية للشباب المصري في مجال مشروعات التنمية المجتمعية بهدف التعامل مع المشاكل والتحديات الكبيرة في المجتمعات المحلية التي نعمل بها. إننا نؤمن بأن الشباب المصري المتخصص والطموح لديه كل الإمكانيات والقدرات للنجاح وبناء مستقبل مشرق له ولبلده. ولهذا تمثل نهضة المحروسة منصة احترافية لبناء المشروعات التي تخدم المجتمع، من خلال شبكة متكاملة للمساعدة والدعم، بما يساعد هؤلاء الشباب على تحويل أحلامهم إلى حقيقة وواقع ملموس."
وبعد نهاية فترة احتضان المشروعات الناشئة والتي تستمر لمدة عام، يتم منح كل مشروع من تلك المشروعات التمويل المبدئي لإقامة المشروع، بهدف مساعدة كل فريق من الفرق الست الفائزة على البدء في مشروعه الخاص، مستخدمين كافة المعلومات والمهارات التي تعلموها من خلال برنامج "خليها سويسي".

يهدف مصنع السويس لإعادة تدوير الإطارات إلى الاستفادة من الكاوتش والإطارات التي تحتوي على الصلب، بطريقة صديقة للبيئة بهدف الحد من آثار حرقه المدمرة للبيئة. يعمل في هذا المجال حتى الآنورشة واحدة تقع في كفر ميت الهارون بمحافظة الغربية بمصر، وهي المكان الوحيد في مصر وشمالأفريقيا الذي يعمل على فصل جميع العناصر المكونة للإطارات بأسلوب صديق للبيئة، ولكن باستخدام أساليب يدوية بدائية. لذلك، يقدم مصنع السويس لإعادة تدوير الإطارات، بالتعاون مع ورشة ميت الهارون،آلات حديثة لإتمام تلك المهمة.ويؤدي استخدام تلك الآلات إلى زيادة معدل الإنتاج اليومي من المطاط والصلب،وتوريدها إلى مصانع إعادة تدوير المطاط و الصلب، والتي لا تعمل الآن إلا بنسبة كفاءة 40-60% بسبب قلة الوارد.

المعدية هي مشروع اجتماعي يهدف إلى رفع الوعي وتقديم نشاطات ثقافية وفنية متنوعة لمحافظة السويس, حيث تقوم المعديةبتنظيم حفلات موسيقية ومعارض كتاب وورش عمل فنية وثقافية. توفر المعدية أيضًا مكتبة دائمة للاستعارة والشراء بأسعار في متناول اليد، بالإضافة لتنظيم ورش عمل ودورات تدريبية بأسعار مناسبة لتنمية المواهب وتوجيهها للمسار الصحيح. تعمل المعدية أيضًا على تأهيل أطفال الشوارع عن طريق تعليمهم حرف يدوية ولغات لدمجهم في المجتمع. تتضمن المعدية مقر رئيسى يوجد فيه المكتبة وتعقد به ورش العمل ودورات ,ومقر آخر يضم المسرح و مكانأكثر اتساعاً لورش العمل وتعليم أطفال الشوارع.

عالم موازي هو فضاء مخصص للتعلم المشترك يهدف إلى المساعدة في نشر ثقافة إمكانية تحويل الموهبة لعمل مربح عن طريق ورش عمل تعتمد على التطبيق العملي من خلال خبرات فعلية في العديد من المجالات ومساندة المشتركين بالدعم الفني والتعاون مع أفراد آخرين بمجالات أخرى متعلقة بهذا العمل. يهدف أيضًا المشروع إلى تحويل أي محتوى نظري إلى مجموعة من ورش العمل التطبيقية. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يعمل المشروع على تقديم كل ورشة عمل لمنح بنسبة 25% مقسمة ما بين "منح كلية - ومنح جزئية". ويدعم المشروعأطفال الشوارع العائلين لأسرهم نفسيا ويقوم بتعليمهم المهارات الأساسية لتواجدهم في أي سوق عمل مع مراعاة استدامة الدخل.

يهدف المشروع لرفع جزء من العبء عن المزارعين، عن طريق تأجيرهم طلمبات مياه الري التي تعمل بالطاقة الشمسية وذلك خلال مواسم الري فقط وبقيمة لا تتجاوز قيمة الوقود اللازم للطلمبات المعتادة خلال الموسم. والفئة المستهدفة من تلك الخدمة هم أصحاب الأراضي الزراعية و المزارعين.

يهدف المشروع لإقامه وحدات للغاز الحيوي لتلبية متطلبات المزارعين ومحدودي الدخل من الطاقة وكذا تشجيع عملية إعادة التدوير، حيث أن هذا الغاز من الممكن أن يستخدم لأغراض كثيرة منها الطهو والإضاءة وتوليد الكهرباء وانتاج سماد عضوي لتحسين الزراعة المصرية وإعادة الخصوبة للأرض، فضلاً عن الحد من الأمراض والأوبئة. والمشروع في مجمله يساعد على الحد من الاعتماد على مصادر الطاقة والمخصبات الصناعية الباهظة التكلفة.
