Oman’s first-ever Mixed Doubles Golf Tournaments to promote women’s involvement in golf
September 15, 2015 - National Aluminium Products Company SAOG (NAPCO), one of the leading extruders of aluminium profiles in the GCC, will organise the NAPCO Monthly Mixed Doubles Golf Tournaments between September 2015 and May 2016 at the Muscat Hills Golf & Country Club. Composed of a series of eight matches, the tournament will be the first golf championship in the Sultanate of Oman that features a mixed team of male and female golfers. NAPCO has introduced the concept of Mixed Doubles in golf with an aim to get more local women to get involved in sport.
Robert Holtkamp, CEO, NAPCO, said: “It gives us immense pleasure to host the NAPCO Monthly Mixed Doubles Golf Tournaments in Oman which will promote the development of the game in the country. Aside from providing amateur golfers with a platform to display their talent, it will encourage women golfers to improve their game. Keeping up with tradition of NAPCO, we will introduce different formats for each of the 8 series to keep the game exciting, entertaining and memorable. We are confident that the tournament will receive overwhelming response and become immensely popular among the local golfing community.”
During the NAPCO Monthly Mixed Doubles Golf Tournaments, breakfast and carvery lunch will be served through the catering service of The Crafty Kitchen. A jazz band will play during lunch break of every series to keep participants entertained. Other notable sponsors include Dessange Oman Salon & Spa and Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa.

بطولات جولف الزوجي المختلط الأولى من نوعها في سلطنة عُمان تعزز مشاركة المرأة
15 سبتمبر 2015 - تعتزم الشركة الوطنية لمنتجات الألمنيوم "نابكو"، إحدى الشركات الرائدة في مجال صناعة مقاطع الألمنيوم في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، تنظيم بطولة جولف الزوجي المختلط الشهرية خلال الفترة بين سبتمبر/أيلول الجاري ومايو/أيار 2016، وذلك في نادي تلال مسقط الريفي للجولف. وستشكل البطولة، التي تتألف من ثماني مباريات، أول حدث من نوعه لرياضة الجولف في سلطنة عُمان يتميز بمشاركة الفرق المختلطة من لاعبي ولاعبات هذه الرياضة. وطرحت "نابكو" مفهوم الزوجي المختلط في رياضة الجولف بهدف تعزيز مشاركة المرأة العُمانية في رياضة الجولف.
وقال روبرت هولتكامب، مدير عام شركة "نابكو": "يسرنا أن نستضيف بطولات جولف الزوجي المختلط الشهرية في سلطنة عُمان، والمساهمة في تطوير هذه الرياضة. وإلى جانب توفيرها منصة لعرض مواهب الهواة في هذه الرياضة، ستسهم البطولة أيضاً في تشجيع لاعبات الجولف على تحسين مهاراتهن في هذه اللعبة. وحرصاً منا على مواكبة تقاليدنا، سنقوم بطرح صيغ مختلفة لكل من المباريات الثماني من أجل إضفاء جو من الحماسة والترفيه. ونحن على ثقة من أن هذه البطولة ستحظى بإقبال واسع وستلقى ترحيباً واسعاً وشعبية كبيرة بين محبي رياضة الجولف في السلطنة".
وستقوم "نابكو"، خلال الحدث بتقديم وجبة فطور ووجبة غداء، وذلك عبر خدمة التموين التي يقدمها "ذا كرافتي كيتشن". كما ستقدم فرقة موسيقى الجاز عروضها خلال استراحة الغداء في كل مباراة. وتضم قائمة الرعاة المشاركين في البطولة كلاً من "صالون وسبا ديسانج عُمان" و"منتجع وسبا شانغريلا بر الجصة".
