Newly launched facility in compliance with world-class standards and aimed towards talent development of UAE healthcare professionals
UAE - September 05, 2015 - The UAE Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the opening of its new Training and Development Centre in Sharjah. The opening of the new training facility demonstrates the Ministry’s continuous commitment towards achieving its vision of sustainable and comprehensive healthcare services to the people of the UAE. The move also falls in line with the country’s government creativity-lab program, an initiative aimed at adopting creative ideas and transforming them into innovative projects that contribute to advancing the progress of the country’s development, thereby reinforcing the move to position it as one of the best countries in the world by 2021. Established as per world-class standards, the new Training and Development Center’s prime objective is to enhance and improve the skills and knowledge of UAE healthcare professionals.
His Excellency (H.E.) Abdul Rahman Bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister, MoH, said that the opening of the new center reflects the Ministry’s efforts to keep up with the latest developments in healthcare and to train healthcare professionals on best healthcare practices and standards—which will greatly contribute in the MoH’s move to raise its standards to excellence in service. The Minister added that the new training and development centre is part of the UAE National Agenda (UAE Vision 2021), providing world-class healthcare services that conform to world-class standards that are rendered by highly trained healthcare professionals.
Awad Al Ketbi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services, MoH, said that the new centre will also be training local healthcare professionals on the Ministry’s policies and guidelines, internationally adopted healthcare programs, research and evidence based practices that can address the UAE’s healthcare needs. Al Ketbi pointed out that all training and development programs will be conducted at the new facility and will also be opened for all healthcare professionals from other government institutions and the private sector as well. He stated that the newly opened facility will cater for both public and private sector, in providing quality learning and development to its entire workforce, and reveal an opportunity to develop an integrated and coordinated service to enable sharing of knowledge in the field of science and medicine.
The Training and Development Centre is includes several organizational units: e-learning & knowledge management, technical training & development, administrative training & development, Graduate & Post-Graduate Studies, administrative & technical support and the office of quality assurance & performance. The facility is equipped with several training rooms, high fidelity skills labs, a computer lab and a theater that can accommodate more than 200 attendees. Courses to be offered include managerial workshops and seminars, specialized Diploma programs, professional training programs for healthcare practitioners, life support programs and simulation programs.
The new Centre will also host the office of the local Committee for Health Specialties. The committee is tasked with coordinating with the General Secretariat of the Arab Council for Health Specialties with regards to the registration of health professionals who are taking various Arab Board certification exams. The committee also facilitates Arab board exams for the state as well.

وزارة الصحة تطلق مركز التطوير والتأهيل بمعايير عالمية
الإمارات – 5 سبتمبر 2015 - أطلقت وزارة الصحة في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، مركز التطوير والتأهيل التابع لها في إمارة الشارقة إنطلاقا من رؤيتها الرامية إلى صحة مستدامة لمجتمع ينعم برعاية شاملة وحياة مديدة.
وانطلاقا من هذه الرؤية وبناءً على مبادرات مختبرالإبداع الحكومي الخاصة بتطوير قطاع الصحة. أنشأت الوزارة هذا المركز ليكون مركز تدريب صحي بمعاييرعالمية يضمن تأهيلا مستمرا لكوادرها.
وصرح معالي عبد الرحمن بن محمد العويس، وزير الصحة بأن إطلاق مركز التطوير والتأهيل يأتي في إطار سعي الوزارة إلى مجاراة المستجدات والتطورات ومواكبة أفضل الممارسات الصحية والإدارية العالمية بهدف الارتقاء بمستوى جودة الخدمات والتميز.
وأشار معاليه إلى أن إطلاق هذا المركز، يندرج ضمنا تحت الأجندة الوطنية لرؤية الإمارات2021 لجهة تقديم الخدمات بأعلى المعايير العالمية وجودة وكفاية الكادر الطبي لتحسين المؤشر الوطني للصحة.
من جانبه أكد سعادة عوض الكتبي، الوكيل المساعد للخدمات المساندة بأن المركز يهدف إلى تدريب الموارد البشرية والمساهمة في توطينها في إطار السياسات والخطط الاستراتيجية للوزارة، والمساهمة في وضع برامج التدريب والتطوير المهني واستقطاب برامج التدريب الصحي المتميزة والمعتمدة عالميا، إضافة إلى تشجيع البحوث والدراسات الصحية وفق توجيات واحتياجات الدولة.
وأشار الكتبي إلى أن مركز التطوير والتأهيل يقوم أيضا بالإشراف على تنفيذ البرامج التعليمية والتدريبية، التي تعقد في مرافق الوزارة وخارجها وتشمل المؤسسات الحكومية والقطاع الخاص. وذلك بهدف رفع كفاءة وجودة أدائهم لغرض تحسين الخدمة المقدمة للمرضى، والمحافظة على المعرفة الطبية والعلمية وتطويرها.
يتكون مركز التطوير والتأهيل من ست وحدات تنظيمية هي: التعلم الإلكتروني وإدارة المعرفة، التدريب والتطويرالفني، الدراسات العليا، الدعم الإداري والتقني، التدريب والتطويرالإداري، مكتب الجودة والأداء.
كما يضم المركزعدة قاعات للتدريب، ومختبرات للمهارات، ومختبر الحاسب الآلي، ومسرحاً يستوعب أكثر من 200 من الحضور. ويقدم العديد من برامج التدريب الإداري والدبلومات المهنية وبرامج تدريب الفنيين من كافة الفئات ودورات دعم الحياة والدورات المعتمدة على المحاكاة المتقدمة.
يجدر الذكر أن مركز التطوير والتأهيل يتضمن مقرا للجنة المحلية للتخصصات الصحية التي تضم ممثلين لكافة الهيئات الصحية بالدولة. وتعنى هذه اللجنة بالتنسيق مع الهيئات المنفذة للبرامج التدريبية للبورد العربي في الدولة ومع الأمانة العامة للمجلس العربي للتخصصات الصحية فيما يخص تسجيل المتدربين ومتابعة أمورهم وتسجيلهم للامتحانات المختلفة، إضافة إلى استضافة بعض امتحانات البورد العربي في الدولة.
