Cairo, Egypt, 12 August, 2015 - Driven by its continuous commitment to support the local community, Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Fayrouz organized “Mission Deep Blue” to clean the seabed of the coastal city of Sharm El Sheikh. The event, which took place on the 2nd of July 2015, was organized in collaboration with Scuba Schools International (SSI), with the aim of protecting the marine life and coral reefs. The event gathered more than 45 divers to clean-up the water along the shores of the hotel and the whole Naama Bay.
Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Fayrouz provided the divers with the required equipment for the clean-up. As one of the measures undertaken by the hotel to preserve the Red Sea, the mission succeeded in collecting more than 300 kilograms of waste. Other measures to ensure the sustainability of the environmental endeavors of the hotel include on-going similar campaigns with local diving centers, in addition to promoting water sports to preserve the Red Sea. Following the success of this mission, the hotel decided to organize similar events periodically to contribute to the preservation of marine life in Sharm El Sheikh.

منتجع هيلتون شرم الشيخ فيروز يدعم الاستدامة البيئية بإطلاق حملة لتنظيف قاع البحر الأحمر
مصر، 12 أغسطس، 2015- انطلاقاً من التزامه المتواصل بدعم المجتمع المحلي، قام منتجع هيلتون شرم الشيخ فيروز بتنظيم حملة تحت عنوان “Mission Deep Blue” لتنظيف قاع البحر الأحمر بمدينة شرم الشيخ. انطلقت الحملة يوم الخميس 2 يوليو الماضي بالتعاون مع مدارس الغوص الدولية (SSI) في شرم الشيخ، بهدف حماية الحياة البحرية والشعاب المرجانية في المنطقة. شارك في الحملة أكثر من 45 غواصاً قاموا بتنظيف قاع البحر الأحمر على امتداد شواطئ المنتجع وشواطئ خليج نعمة.
وفي إطار الحملة، قام منتجع هيلتون شرم الشيخ فيروز بإمداد الغواصين بالأدوات والمعدات اللازمة لتنظيف قاع البحر وإزالة ما به من مخلفات. وقد نجحت الحمله في جمع أكثر من 300 كيلو من المخلفات خلال يوم واحد. تأتي الحملة البيئية في إطار التزام المنتجع بتطبيق أفضل الممارسات البيئية الهادفة لتنظيف قاع البحر الأحمر والحفاظ عليه، مع إطلاق حملات مماثلة بالتعاون مع مراكز الغوص المحلية، وكذلك الترويج للرياضات المائية، بما يضمن استدامة الجهود البيئية والحفاظ على البحر الأحمر من التلوث أو تجمع المخلفات في قاعه. وبعد النجاح الكبير الذي شهدتة حملة “Mission Deep Blue”، قررت إدارة الفندق تنظيم حملات وفاعليات مماثلة بشكل دوري للمساهمة في الحفاظ على الحياة البحرية في شرم الشيخ.
