Passengers to enter ‘UberIftar’ promo code to donate one free meal per trip

In line with celebrating the Holy Month of Ramadan, Man’oushe Street, a popular Middle Eastern restaurant that serves traditional, home-styled street food, has announced its latest tie-up with Uber - Dubai, the local arm of the international transportation network company, to donate free Iftar meal packages to laborers and Uber partner drivers. Under the initiative, Uber riders can simply enter the promo code ‘UberIftar’ via the Uber mobile app, which represents a donation of one free Iftar meal that will later be distributed to local both Uber partner drivers and laborers across the emirate.
According to the company’s senior executives, Man’oushe Street will be donating hundreds of free Iftar meal packages (Manakeesh) daily for the duration of the Holy Month of Ramadan—allotting the meals for both the Tecom and Burj Views area. The strategic location of these pick-up points gives drivers the advantage of going for prayers at a nearby mosque and taking Iftar before resuming work. The free Iftar meals demonstrates Man’oushe Street’s continued commitment towards implementing key CSR initiatives and programs across the communities they operate in.

إحتفاءً بشهر رمضان المبارك، أعلنت سلسلة مطاعم "شارع منقوشة" الرائدة في تقديم أشهى المعجنات والفطائر الشرق أوسطية المخبوزة بالفرن، عن دخولها في شراكة جديدة مع شركة "أوبر دبي" (Uber Dubai)، الذراع المحلي لشركة شبكات النقل العالمية، لتقديم وجبات إفطار مجانية لسائقي سيارات الأجرة التابعة للشركة في دبي. وتتمثّل هذه المبادرة في دعوة العملاء لإدخال الرمز "UberIftar" عند طلب سائق أجرة خاص عبر تطبيق "أوبر" على الهواتف المتحرّكة. ولكل إدخال يجري عبر التطبيق، سيتم التبرّع بوجبة إفطار مجانية لسائقي وعاملي شركة "أوبر" المقيمين في مساكن العمالة في دبي.
وبموجب هذه المبادرة، تتعهّد "شارع منقوشة" بتقديم وجبات إفطار مجانية للعاملين في "تاكسي أوبر" على مدار الشهر الفضيل. وسيتم توزيع الوجبات في منطقتي "تيكوم" و"برج فيوز"، بما سيتيح للسائقين إمكانية أداء الصلاة في المساجد القريبة من هذين الموقعين الإستراتيجيين وتناول الإفطار قبل مزاولة العمل. وتندرج هذه الخطوة في إطار إلتزام "شارع منقوشة" بتنفيذ مبادرات وبرامج المسؤولية الإجتماعية في مختلف الأسواق التي تعمل بها.
وقال جهاد العيط، المؤسّس والرئيس التنفيذي لسلسلة مطاعم "شارع منقوشة": "يسعدنا مشاركة العالم أجمع بإحتفالات شهر رمضان المبارك وتجسيد المعاني السامية التي يمثّلها هذا الشهر الفضيل، بما ينعكس في شراكتنا الجديدة مع "أوبر دبي" لتوفير وجبات الإفطار لسائقي سيارات الأجرة التابعة للشركة في دبي. وتأتي هذه الخطوة في سياق حرصنا كل عام على تأمين وجبات الإفطار للمحتاجين لكسر صيامهم بعد نهار عمل شاق. ونودّ في هذا السياق أن نشكر "أوبر - دبي" على المشاركة في هذه المبادرة الخيرية النبيلة".
