The Lanesborough will reopen following an extensive renovation
project that will see it regain its position as London’s finest residence. The
refurbishment extends to all areas of the hotel; the 93 guest rooms, including
43 suites, and all public areas.
Philippe Perd, Senior Vice President Operations and Project
Development Oetker Collection, comments: “This announcement marks an
important milestone in the lead up to the opening, drawing a close to the
renovation project.”
The Lanesborough is managed by Oetker Collection, the
prestigious portfolio of ‘masterpiece hotels” including Le Bristol Paris, Hotel
du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France and Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in
Baden-Baden, amongst others.
Frank Marrenbach, CEO Oetker Collection adds: “With its
strategic location in the heart of London, The Lanesborough, with managing
director Geoffrey Gelardi at its helm is a prestigious addition to our
portfolio, a major step for our development, and a natural complement to Le
Bristol Paris, its sister hotel.”
Following The Lanesborough’s closure in December 2013, the
hotel was taken back to its shell and meticulously transformed by Alberto
Pinto, the world renowned interior design studio.
Guestroom accommodation will be the epitome of elegance,
reminiscent of a grand residence, with The Royal Suite reinstated as the
hotel’s largest suite complete with seven bedrooms. Céleste, the restaurant of
The Lanesborough will unveil an elegant new design, returned to the Regency
style in-keeping with the rest of the hotel. In these superb facilities, Eric
Frechon, Paris’ most esteemed three Michelin star chef and leading figure at Le
Bristol Paris brings his protégé Florian Favario as executive chef. The Garden
Room will resume its position as the capital’s most glamourous cigar lounge and
The Library Bar as one of London’s leading bars. Seven carefully and
individually designed private dining rooms will offer some of the most refined
event spaces London has to offer.
The renovation honours the building’s architectural heritage
as one of London’s most revered Regency landmarks. It embodies the signature
style that has become synonymous with
The Lanesborough, whilst incorporating the latest in
contemporary luxury and technological innovations.
