Leading government & private organizations from emirate attended seminars & meetings in Sao Paulo
UAE, June 9, 2015 - The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) has announced that a high-profile delegation from Dubai visited Sao Paulo recently to participate in various seminars and attends business meetings. Organized with the support of the ABCC, the visit aims to seek new suppliers and establish fresh partnerships to give a boost to an already bustling trade between the South American country and the UAE.
The agenda included a seminar on ‘Business in Dubai’ for delegates from Dubai on the first day at the Administrative Head Office of the State of Sao Paulo Trade Federation (FECOMERCIO). The forum threw the spotlight on Dubai as a business hub for Brazilian companies as well as a gateway to the Middle East. On the second day, a closed panel discussion was held at the Federation of Industries of the State of Sao Paulo (FIESP), where Brazilian lawyers and accounting officers enlightened firms from Dubai about local laws and methods of conducting methods. On the same day and venue, Dubai-based companies had a business meeting with Brazilian companies.
Dr. Michel Alaby, Secretary General and CEO, Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, said: “The visit of a senior level delegation from Dubai to Sao Paulo underlines ABCC’s agenda to further strengthen the bilateral relations between Brazil and Arab countries in general and Dubai in particular. The seminar and business meetings to promote Dubai as the Middle East’s trade and investment hub and a major importer and exporter of goods. We foresee Dubai as a highly developed city with tremendous economic opportunities and establishing good business relations and partnership with the emirate will bode well for Brazil’s economy.”
The delegation from Dubai consisted of leading companies including ports operator DP World; Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC), Dubai Government’s strategic initiative to promote commodities trade in the emirate; Module Engineering Consultants, provider of innovative architectural solutions; Alpha Sky, an integrated trading development and hospitality company seeking suppliers of photocopy paper, sugar, and ground coffee; Selkar, a trading company with interests in construction materials, chemicals, food stuff and commodity products, and electrical powers and materials; and Louis Dreyfus Commodities, a global merchandiser of commodities and processor of agricultural goods.

مجموعة من الندوات والاجتماعات التجارية بين الطرفين
الإمارات، 9 يونيو، 2015 - أعلنت "الغرفة التجارية العربية البرازيلية" عن أن وفداً رفيع المستوى من دبي قام بزيارة مدينة ساوباولو، المركز المالي للبرازيل، حيث شارك في عدد من الندوات والاجتماعات التجارية. وتهدف الزيارة، التي تم تنظيمها بدعم من الغرفة التجارية العربية البرازيلية، إلى البحث عن موردين جدد من أجل إقامة علاقات شراكة جديدة سعياً لتعزيز الروابط التجارية النشطة القائمة حالياً بين البرازيل ودولة الإمارات.
وتضمن جدول أعمال اليوم الأول ندوة حول "التجارة في دبي"، والتي أقيمت في المكتب الإداري للاتحاد التجاري لولاية ساوباولو. وسلطت الندوة الضوء على مكانة دبي كمركز تجاري بالنسبة للشركات البرازيلية ودورها كبوابة إلى منطقة الشرق الأوسط. وعقدت في اليوم الثاني جلسة نقاش مغلقة في اتحاد الصناعات لولاية ساوباولو، حيث قام مجموعة من المحامين البرازيليين والمحاسبين باطلاع الشركات على القوانين المحلية وطرق تنفيذ الأعمال التجارية. كما عقدت الشركات من دبي اجتماع تجاري مع عدد من الشركات البرازيلية.
وقال ميشيل حلبي، الأمين العام والرئيس التنفيذي لغرفة التجارة العربية البرازيلية: "تؤكد الزيارة التي قام بها الوفد إلى مدينة ساوباولو على برنامجنا الهادف إلى تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين البرازيل والدول العربية بشكل عام وإمارة دبي على وجه الخصوص. وسوف تسهم الندوة والاجتماعات التجارية في الترويج لدبي كمركز للتجارة والاستثمار وكمستورد ومصدر رئيسي للسلع في منطقة الشرق الأوسط. ونحن ننظر إلى دبي على أنها مدينة متقدمة جداً تتيح فرصاً اقتصادية كبيرة، وإن إقامة علاقات وشراكات تجارية جيدة مع الإمارة سوف يعود بالنفع على الاقتصاد البرازيلي".
وضم الوفد كل من موانئ دبي العالمية، ومركز دبي للسلع المتعددة (DMCC)، و"موديول للاستشارات الهندسية" (Module Engineering Consultants)، و"ألفا سكاي" (Alpha Sky)، إحدى الشركات المتكاملة في مجال التطوير التجاري والضيافة والتي تسعى إلى البحث عن موردين لمواد ورق التصوير والسكر والبن المطحون؛ وشركة "سيلكار" (Selkar)، وهي شركة تجارية مهتمة بمواد البناء والكيماويات والمواد الغذائية والمنتجات السلعية والمحركات والمعدات الكهربائية؛ وشركة "لويس دريفوس للسلع" (Louis Dreyfus Commodities)، وهي شركة تجارية عالمية للسلع ومُصنع للسلع الزراعية.
