Luxury hotel at the heart of Al Maryah Island will be the No. 1 choice of the discerning business traveler, say MD and COO; Rosewood highlights achievements at Arabian Travel Market
DUBAI, 6th May, 2015: The luxury Rosewood Abu Dhabi hotel on Al Maryah Island is set to become the first choice for international business travelers as the capital’s new financial district takes shape around it, according to the company’s senior executives.
Speaking today at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, Rosewood Abu Dhabi’s managing director Luigi Romaniello and COO Symon Bridle said the distinctive five-star hotel – Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ first in the UAE – will go from strength to strength as Abu Dhabi’s Central Business District comes to life.
“In the relatively short time since Rosewood Abu Dhabi opened, it has already gained a reputation as a sophisticated and elegant hotel providing everything the discerning traveler could possibly need,” said Mr Romaniello.
“With its strategic location at the very heart of Abu Dhabi’s new financial free zone, and offering easy access to a host of business and leisure facilities, it’s not surprising that the hotel already enjoys high occupancy year round.
“As Al Maryah Island continues to evolve – and particularly as we see Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Square really take off as a thriving commercial hub – we are confident that Rosewood Abu Dhabi will quickly become the number one choice for business travelers visiting this emirate.”
The multi award-winning Rosewood Abu Dhabi is ideally situated within Abu Dhabi Global Market Square, already home to 50 international blue chip companies and set to become the beating heart of the capital’s first financial free zone.
Guests staying in one of the hotel’s 189 spacious guestrooms and suites will enjoy direct, climate-controlled access to the Abu Dhabi Global Market offices, as well as other high-end facilities such as the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and The Galleria luxury shopping mall.
Mr Bridle believes Rosewood Abu Dhabi will become synonymous with world-class, luxury business hospitality as Abu Dhabi Global Market Square continues to expand and welcome more tenants.
“At the centre of Al Maryah Island, there is Abu Dhabi Global Market Square, and at the centre of that there is Rosewood Abu Dhabi,” he said. “I think as more and more prestigious international companies take office space in ADGM and it takes its place as a leading global financial hub, so we’ll see Rosewood Abu Dhabi cement its place as an unrivalled hospitality offering for domestic, regional and international travelers.”
Thousands of visitors have flocked to Rosewood Abu Dhabi’s stand at ATM, the region’s biggest and most important tourism exhibition and conference, which started on Monday and ends tomorrow (Thursday).
The stand highlights some of the hotel’s recent landmark achievements including the opening of Dai Pai Dong, its latest international culinary offering. With an interior inspired by the traditional tale of the Dragon King and his nine sons, and including a tasteful array of Chinese artworks and artefacts, the authentic menu features Hong Kong street food delicacies.
Diners will be able to choose from delicious favourites such as homemade noodles, dim sum, barbecued meats or Dai Pai Dong’s signature dish of succulent roasted duck cooked in a traditional clay pot. Head Chef He Jia and his expert team will prepare guests’ meals before their very eyes in the open kitchen.
Rosewood Abu Dhabi has an exciting year ahead too, with its first residential sales planned for the second half of 2015.
The sale of 76 waterfront apartments and penthouses will bring a new urban living experience to Abu Dhabi, with residents enjoying exclusive privileges and round-the-clock services of a five-star hotel.
“This is a very exciting year for us, as we celebrate reaching several key landmarks and achievement,” said Mr Romaniello. “First there was the opening of Dai Pai Dong, which is already proving a hit with the local community and visitors.
“Then later this year, we’re predicting strong demand for our luxury residential units.
“Rosewood Abu Dhabi is our first hotel to open in the UAE, and I’m very proud of the positive impact it’s made and the way it’s evolving with Al Maryah Island.”
Rosewood Abu Dhabi is the RHR group’s first operational hotel in the UAE and is a stunning centerpiece of Mubadala’s flagship Al Maryah Island development, designated as Abu Dhabi’s central business district. Offering an eclectic range of mouth-watering restaurants, superb shopping and panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf, the hotel complex provides a perfect environment for both business and leisure.
With the opening of Al Maryah Central, a 200,000 square meter world class shopping center, due in 2018, Al Maryah Island is poised to become a regional shopping and hospitality destination offering more than 500 retail brands and a multitude of entertainment options.
Al Maryah Island is an integrated, 114-hectare mixed-use development at the center of Abu Dhabi, designed with functionality, sustainability and quality as the guiding principles. When complete, it will feature diverse amenities including a state-of-the-art hospital, parks, galleries, hotels, shops and a wide variety of restaurants and cafes.
