Dubai, UAE — April 15, 2015– One of the most exciting elements of working for a company
like Hitachi is the opportunity to be part of a global organization with the
vision and capability to address real world challenges. Hitachi calls the
resulting achievements, “Social Innovation.”.
The past year I had pleasure to team with global Hitachi
colleagues on a number of initiatives to extend our capabilities and portfolio
of managed cloud services and increase expertise to enable Hitachi Unified
Compute Platform Solutions in SAP and SAP HANA environments -- all in support
of making Hitachi’s Social Innovation vision a reality.
Our February announcement
was met with enthusiasm from press
(see Intent to Acquire , SAP Happy) and customers alike, and we are
excited to see this momentum continue.
Today marks a milestone in our journey. I am so pleased to
share that we officially closed acquisition of oXya, a leader in solutions and
cloud services for SAP. oXya comes to us
as a community of over 500 talented professionals who have garnered top
customer satisfaction accolades for over 17 years.
So what can we expect?
SAP-as-a-service solutions will expand our portfolio beyond
our existing infrastructure services of backup-, storage-, and
compute-as-a-service solutions.
Applications as a service such as these are frequent requests from our
customers. Further, applications are also the bridge into analytics services
and Social Innovation solutions. The additional capabilities brought in by oXya
will encourage more engagement with systems integrators and other members of
the Hitachi ecosystem. Altogether, the acquisition of oXya helps HDS bring more
value to our customers and be more competitive in the market.
The oXya team will join the HDS Global Services organization.
We will retain the existing business model and accelerate it by adding new
services capabilities that will expand our position in cloud services. We will
strengthen the growth and success of HDS in this space by building out the oXya
services capabilities and by using the global sales and marketing expertise of
HDS and our partners.
oXya is headquartered in Paris, France, and has offices
around the world, including Belgium, Canada, China, France, the UK, and the
United States. In the coming months, we look forward to sharing with you more
details on expansion, plus customer and partner response.
This merger and acquisition was made possible by the hard
work of a lot of Hitachi and oXya team members, along with a number of key
partners around the world, including Wells Fargo Securities and Gide. Please

«هيتاشي داتا سيستمز» تستحوذ على «أوكسيا» المتخصصة في
الحلول والخدمات السحابية
دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 15 أبريل 2015: أعلنت اليوم هيتاشي داتا سيستمز، الشركة التابعة والمملوكة
بالكامل من قبل "هيتاشي المحدودة"، عن إكمال استحواذها على «أوكسيا» oXya، الشركة
العالمية الرائدة في توفير الحلول والخدمات السحابية لأنظمة SAP. وتضمّ «أوكسيا» أكثر من 500 من المتخصصين الموهوبين الذين نالوا
رضى العملاء على مدار أكثر من 17 عاماً.
وستمكّن عملية الاستحواذ الجديدة شركة هيتاشي داتا
سيستمز من تعزيز مجموعة الحلول التي توفّرها لتشمل حلول SAP المقدّمة على شكل خدمات، وأن
لا تقتصر خدماتها على خدمات البنية التحتية للنسخ الاحتياطي والتخزين وحلول
الحوسبة المقدّمة على شكل خدمة.
وتمثل التطبيقات المقدّمة على شكل خدمات مطلباً هاماً من
مطالب عملاء هيتاشي داتا سيستمز والذين يتطلّعون أيضا للحصول الخدمات
التحليلية وحلول الابتكارات الاجتماعية، وستجشّع القدرات الإضافية التي توفّرها «أوكسيا»
العملاء على التواصل أكثر مع المختصين في مكاملة الأنظمة وغيرهم من الفرق التي تعمل
مع هيتاشي، مما يعني أن عملية الاستحواذ الجديدة ستجلب قيمة أكبر للعملاء ومزايا
تنافسية أكبر للأسواق.
وسينضمّ فريق «أوكسيا» إلى مؤسسة هيتاشي داتا سيستمز
للخدمات العالمية، إذ ستحافظ هيتاشي على نموذج العمل الحالي المتّبع في «أوكسيا»،
كما ستعمل على تسريعه من خلال إضافة خدمات جديدة ستعزّز موقع هيتاشي في مجال توفير
الخدمات السحابية.
وبهذه المناسبة، قال فيليب تاونسيند، نائب الرئيس في
هيتاشي داتا سيستمز لإدارة الأعمال في قسم الخدمات العالمية: "سوف نعمل على
تعزيز النموّ والنجاح الذي تتمتع به هيتاشي داتا سيستمز بالاعتماد على القدرات
التي توفها خدمات أوكسيا، فضلا عن الاستفادة من خبرات فريق المبيعات والتسويق
العالمي لدى هيتاشي داتا سيستمز وشركائها".
ويقع المقرّ الرئيسي لشركة أوكسيا في باريس، ولها مكاتب
في بلدان حول العالم مثل بلجيكا وكندا والصين وفرنسا والمملكة المتحدة والولايات
المتحدة الأمريكية.
وقد عمل فريق العمل في هيتاشي داتا سيستمز وأوكسيا بجدّ
لإتمام هذه الصفقة، كما ساهم في إنجازها مجموعة من الشركاء الرئيسيين لهيتاشي حول
العالم مثل ويلز فارجو سيكيوريتيز Wells Fargo
