Al Hamra Real Estate Development has announced the latest edition of its increasingly popular outdoor markets. Several thousand people attended the Villages’ last event, a spring food festival, and a bumper crowd is expected once more at Al Hamra Marina.
The two-day market will be held from 5-10pm on 16-17 April, and will combine food and crafts with activities for all the family. Vendors have pledged to donate money from the event proceeds to the Joud Foundation, part of the Beit Al Khair Society, and Hertz will also be holding a raffle for some free weekend rental giveaways, among other activities.
“The Joud Foundation is a non-profit organisation that funds young children's surgical needs in collaboration with Saqr Hospital,” said Benoy Kurien, General Manager at Al Hamra Real Estate Development. “In addition to charitable contributions, our aim is to support small local businesses by positioning them alongside recognised brands.”
Those brands include Shake Shack, who will be making a return after participating in the spring food festival, and 54° East – a progressive food and beverage company that is at the forefront of bringing unique restaurants to urban and metropolitan settings. Also returning after a very successful debut in the northern emirates will be Ice Cream Lab.
“We are excited to be back in Ras Al Khaimah, and the spectacular surroundings at Al Hamra Village. The spring food festival was our first foray into the northern emirates and we’re delighted with the response we had. We are also very keen to support the Joud Foundation and its worthy cause,” said Salman Aga, Area Manager at Ice Cream Lab.
Other confirmed vendors include Pesto Restaurante, Holland House Pancakes, Ice Cup, Monkey Cookies, Food Truck Dubai, Anytime Ice Cream, Oraganic Oasis, Cocoville and Sough Jewelry. The Joud Foundation will also be present at the event.
