Leading company recognized for excellence in health and safety initiatives and its significant contributions towards a more sustainable Gulf region
UAE, March 4, 2015- Gulf Extrusions (Gulfex), a leading global manufacturer of extruded aluminium products, was awarded the Gulf Aluminium Council (GAC) Health and Safety Award, during a special awarding ceremony held at the Gulf Hotel in Bahrain. The award was given to Gulfex in recognition of the company’s implementation of excellent health and safety initiatives and its significant contribution towards the efforts to achieve key sustainability in the Gulf region.
Modar Al Mekdad, General Manager, Gulf Extrusions, said, “We are truly honored to have been given this recognition by the Gulf Aluminium Council. GAC is a coordinating body that represents, promotes and protects the interests of the aluminium industry within the Gulf. The council’s main objectives are to provide a forum to develop strategies for common issues and concerns facing the aluminium industry in the region, and to share best practices so as to improve the efficiency of the industry. The GAC Health and Safety awards aim to encourage and provide momentum for innovative health and safety initiatives.

"الخليج للسحب" تفوز بجائزة الصحة والسلامة من "المجلس الخليجي للألمنيوم"
الإمارات، 4 مارس، 2015 - حازت "شركة الخليج للسحب" (Gulfex)، المصنّع العالمي الرائد لمنتجات سحب الألمنيوم، على جائزة الصحة والسلامة من "المجلس الخليجي للألمنيوم"، وذلك خلال حفل خاص أقيم في "فندق الخليج" في البحرين. وجاءت الجائزة تقديراً لجهود الشركة في تنفيذ مبادرات ناجحة في مجال الصحة والسلامة، ومساهماتها القيّمة في تحقيق معايير الاستدامة في منطقة الخليج العربي.

ويعد "المجلس الخليجي للألمنيوم" جهة تنسيقية تعمل على تمثيل وترويج وحماية مصالح قطاع الألمنيوم في الخليج العربي. وتتمثل أهداف المجلس في توفير منتدى لتطوير الاستراتيجيات المتعلقة بالقضايا البارزة والتحديات الرئيسية التي تواجه قطاع الألمنيوم في المنطقة، فضلاً عن مشاركة أفضل الممارسات التي تسهم في تحسين كفاءة القطاع. وتهدف جوائز الصحة والسلامة، التي ينظّمها "المجلس الخليجي للألمنيوم"، إلى تشجيع ودعم المبادرات الإبداعية في مجال الصحة والسلامة.
