The certification underscores the resort’s commitment to sustainable design and construction methods

Alila Jabal Akhdar has been awarded LEED® Silver Certification in the Building Design and Construction rating system for New Construction by the U.S. Green Building Council. Developed by the Oman Tourism Development Company SAOC (Omran), Alila Jabal Akhdar is the first development in Oman to obtain the prestigious international LEED certification and represents a milestone achievement for the development of infrastructure in the Sultanate. LEED certification is recognised across the globe as the premier mark of achievement in green building. To receive the LEED certification, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, building projects require multiple energy saving and environmental criteria to be met including; sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, and innovation in design. Alila Jabal AKhdar, has been awarded for its focused objective to maximize the use of local materials in the construction phase and minimize the ongoing energy usage footprint in the long term. The resort incorporates various eco-friendly elements such as innovative water treatment facilities for use in irrigation, solar panels that provides up to 60% of the energy required for hot water supply and energy saving lighting and thermal control systems. During the development phase, the construction team implemented an ongoing policy of pollution prevention and a recycling scheme through the re-use of local building materials in harmony with the surrounding environment. Nestled in the breath-taking Jabal Akhdar area, 2,000 metres above sea level in the western Al Hajar Mountain range, the five-star resort is a quality addition to the high-end tourist destinations in the Gulf region, a catalyst for further developments in this part of the Sultanate. The resort features 86 suites of varied categories and spaces, a first of its kind Omani spa, meeting facilities, restaurants as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools. أليلا الجبل الاخضر تحصد أول شهادة LEED البيئية في السلطنة

حصل منتجع أليلا الجبل الأخضر تعتبر شهادة LEED مقياس دولي في تصميم وإنشاء مبانٍ تراعي المتطلبات البيئية، حيث يقيّم هذا النظام المباني وفقاً لعدة نقاط تشمل اختيار الموقع وتوفير الطاقة وكفاءة مصادر المياه والانبعاثات الكربونية والتصميم الداخلي ومدى توافقه مع البيئة. وتعتبر هذه الشهادة بمثابة التقدير لمشروع منتجع أليلا الجبل الأخضر نظرا للجهود المكثفة التي بذلت في إنشائه على صعيد استخدام الخامات المحلية والحد من هدر الطاقة على المدى البعيد، حيث نجح المشروع في إضافة العديد من العناصر الإيجابية على الصعيد البيئي ومنها إنشاء محطات معالجة المياه المبتكرة من أجل ري المسطحات الخضراء في المنتجع، فضلاً عن استخدام الألواح الشمسية لتوليد الطاقة والتي تساهم في توفير 60% من إمدادات المياه الساخنة للمنتجع، إلى جانب أنظمة توفير الطاقة والتحكم بدرجة الحرارة، إضافة إلى اعتماد فريق البناء أثناء مرحلة الإنشاء على سياسة إعادة تدوير المواد المستخدمة من البيئة المحيطة. ومن جانبه صرَّح مارك أديلسون، رئيس مجموعة فنادق ومنتجعات أليلا قائلاً : "إن وجود بيئة سليمة، هو أمرٌ ضروري للرفاهية المجتمعية والاستدامة التجارية على حدٍ سواء، ولذا نحن فخورون بشراكتنا مع عمران للسعي وراء هذا الهدف. إن رؤيتنا في أليلا مبنية على أسس الحفاظ على البيئة، وبالتالي فإن جهودنا الخضراء تمتد لما وراء الجوانب التشغيلية، لنتمكن من إحداث تأثير إيجابي على المجتمع من النواحي الاقتصادية والاجتماعية و الثقافية أيضاً."

على حصول أليلا الجبل الاخضر على هذه الشهادة المرموقة، قال المهندس وائل
بن أحمد اللواتي، الرئيس التنفيذي لعمران: "نحن فخورون بالإنجاز الذي حققه
المنتجع كونه المشروع الأول الذي يحصل على هذه الشهادة في عُمان. إن
رؤية مشروع أليلا للاستدامة تتخطى التصميم المعماري ومرحلة البناء الفعلي،
لتعكس مبادئ تصميم المباني التي تعتمدها عمران إلى جانب حرص الإدارة أثناء
التشغيل على تطبيق منهج الاستدامة والسلامة البيئية".
وأضاف اللواتي: " تؤكد شهادة LEED على
الدور الحيوي الذي تقوم به عمران في تطوير وجهات سياحية مستدامة تعتمد
أرقى المعايير البيئية، حيث نسعى في عمران دوماً لتطبيق معايير الاستدامة
في كافة أعمالنا، سواء من الجانب الاقتصادي للمشروع، أو من الجوانب البيئية
والثقافية و الاجتماعية، إن هذا الإنجاز سيكون بمثابة الدافع للسير قدماً
وتحقيق المزيد من المشاريع المتوافقة مع المعايير البيئية، علماً أن ثمانية
مشاريع قيد التطوير حالياً لعمران يتم العمل عليها وفقاً لمعايير LEED العالمية."
وفي تهنئته ل أليلا الجبل الأخضر على حصولها على شهادة LEED الفضية، صرح الفاضل ريتشارد فيدريزي، الرئيس التنفيذي والمؤسس للمجلس الأمريكي للأبنية الخضراء قائلا: "بالنيابة عن المجلس يسعدني منح منتجع أليلا الجبل الأخضر هذه الشهادة والاعتراف بجهود شركة عمران في هذا الإطار على صعيد السلطنة والمنطقة ككل. إن شهادة LEED تعد المعيار الأرقى عالمياً عند الحديث عن الأبنية المستدامة بيئياً، ولهذا نحن سعداء بحصول سلطنة عُمان عليها للمرة الأولى، ونتمنى أن يشكل ذلك دافعاً للمطورين العقاريين في منطقة الشرق الأوسط لإعطاء المباني الخضراء الأهمية التي تستحقها." يذكر أن منتجع أليلا الجبل الأخضر نجح في استقطاب العديد من الزوار من داخل وخارج السلطنة منذ افتتاحه التجريبي في شهر مايو 2014، وهو يقع في نيابة الجبل الأخضر المذهلة، على مسافة 150كم من محافظة مسقط، وعلى ارتفاع 2000 متر فوق سطح البحر على قمة سلسلة جبال الحجر الغربي، ويعتبر إضافة جديدة لمنطقة الجبل الأخضر الأكثر استقطابا للسياح في الخليج العربي، إلى جانب المشاريع الأخرى الجاري تنفيذها من أجل تطوير السياحة في هذه المنطقة. ويشمل المنتجع 86 جناح متعدد المساحات، إضافة إلى منتجع صحي هو الأول من نوعه في السلطنة لجهة اللمسات المحلية التي يعتمدها، فضلاً عن عدد من قاعات الاجتماعات والمطاعم وبرك السباحة الداخلية و الخارجية، وإلى جانب شهادة LEED الحالية فقد حصد المنتجع عدة جوائز أخرى محلية و إقليمية منذ افتتاحه التجريبي في العام الماضي.
