Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan, conference to kick off on February 16, 2015
[UAE, February 14, 2015] – Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) is set to explore the latest cutting-edge solutions dealing with ‘Quality and Business Management’ and ‘Health and Environment,’ two of the four key tracks in the Innovation Arabia 8 conference running from February 16 to 18, 2015 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of the university. The event will be held under the theme ‘Innovate, Collaborate, and Differentiate: Honouring the Past, Treasuring the Present, and Shaping the Future.”
‘Quality and Business Management’ and ‘Health and Environment’ will be discussed within the framework of innovation and creativity in line with the ‘Dubai Innovation Partners’ initiative launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin mohammed. The initiative aims to promote creative ideas and innovative solutions to improve the quality of life in the country and ensure a better future for the next generation.
Titled ‘Quality and Business Management: Exploring Synergies Leading Towards Innovation,’ the ‘Quality and Business Management’ track aims to encourage academicians and decision and policy makers to enhance the link between business methodologies and creativity as well as review the theoretical concepts and practices relating to quality management.
Among the important topics under the track are ‘Innovation Management for Sustainable Development,’ ‘Measuring Performance of Quality and Innovation,’ ‘Public Policy to Promote Innovation in the MENA Region,’ ‘The role of Innovative Thinking and in Developing Marketing Strategies in Competitive Markets,’ and ‘Successful HR Practices to Support Innovation.’ The track will also cover two key subjects, namely ‘How to Integrate Innovation into the Curriculum’ and ‘The Use of Social Media to Transform Businesses and Governmental Organizations.’
With the main theme ‘Promoting Innovative Health and Environmental Interventions,’ the ‘Health and Environment’ track, on the other hand, will focus on ways to strengthen regional integration through partnerships that promote modern health and environmental approaches. It will revolve around raising awareness within the health sector about innovative approaches in information technology and data standardization in the UAE. Additionally, the track will assess the local and global progress in water resources management and environmental sustainability, identify the challenges to implement health reforms, and help come up with comprehensive solutions to improve health quality.
‘Health and Environment’ will attract wide participation from stakeholders, environment policy makers, representatives from non-government agencies, experts, researchers and academicians in the health care, environment, and water sectors. They will submit research papers on a range of vital topics, including ‘Smart Health and E-health,’ ‘Health Quality Improvement,’ ‘Environmental Sustainability,’ ‘Innovative Environmental Technologies,’ ‘Occupational Health and Safety,’ and ‘Innovative Health and Environmental Education Approaches,’ among others.
Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, HBMSU Chancellor said: “We have included the ‘Quality and Business Management’ track in the Innovation Arabia 8 agenda due to the importance of quality management in maintaining the country’s economic system and social structure based on solid foundations. This is imperative in today’s globalized world and especially after witnessing the effects of the economic crisis. Through the upcoming discussions, we seek to explore ways to promote a culture of quality and creativity as a main pillar to accelerate sustainable economic and social development regionally and globally.”
Al Awar added: “The topics to be discussed under the ‘Health and Environment’ track will address the challenges facing the health and environment sectors. The discussions will center on the local and regional best practices and the latest innovative solutions in environmental protection, nature preservation, water resource management, and environmental sustainability. Our goal is to build a secure and sustainable future for all.”
Innovation Arabia 8 conference will discuss policies and strategies and present leading academic researches under four main tracks: ‘Quality and Business Management,’ ‘Health and Environment,’ ‘Smart Learning Excellence,’ and ‘Islamic Banking and Finance.’ It will also include, awards programs, direct meetings and networking opportunities with prominent academicians, decision makers, researchers, experts, and representatives of international organizations, government agencies and private organizations. They will discuss the latest emerging trends and current and future industry challenges as well as come up with appropriate solutions to sustain the Arab region’s continuous development.

"إبداعات عربية" يناقش أفضل الممارسات في "إدارة الأعمال والجودة" و"الصحة والبيئة"
]الإمارات، 14 فبراير، 5201 [- تستعد "جامعة حمدان بن محمّد الذكية" لاستكشاف أفضل الحلول المبتكرة ضمن محوري "إدارة الأعمال والجودة" و"الصحة والبيئة"، وذلك في إطار المحاور الأربعة التي تمثل جوهر مناقشات مؤتمر "إبداعات عربية 8" (Innovation Arabia 8)، المقرر انعقاده تحت رعاية كريمة من سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، ولي عهد دبي رئيس المجلس التنفيذي لإمارة دبي الرئيس الأعلى للجامعة. ويحمل المؤتمر، الذي سيقام من 16 إلى 18 شباط/فبراير الجاري، شعار "الإبداع والتعاون والتميّز: استلهام الماضي، واستجلاء الحاضر، واستشراف المستقبل".
ومن المقرّر أن يتم تناول محوري "إدارة الأعمال والجودة" و"الصحة والبيئة" استناداً إلى الإبداع والابتكار. ويأتي ذلك انسجاماً مع التزام "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الذكية" بدعم أهداف مبادرة "شركاء دبي للابتكار" التي أطلقها سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، ولي عهد دبي الرئيس الأعلى للجامعة، في دعم الأفكار المبدعة والحلول المبتكرة التي من شأنها تحسين جودة الحياة وضمان مستقبل أفضل للأجيال القادمة.
ويهدف محور "إدارة الأعمال والجودة"، الذي يحمل عنوان "إدارة الأعمال والجودة: استكشاف سبل التعاون المؤدية إلى الإبداع"، إلى تشجيع الأكاديميين وصناع القرار وراسمي السياسات على مناقشة أحدث الحلول المتعلقة بتعزيز التّفاعل بين منهجيات الأعمال والإبداع، فضلاً عن استعراض المفاهيم النظرية والممارسة العملية في إدارة الجودة. وتشتمل أبرز الموضوعات، المطروحة للنقاش خلال محور "إدارة الأعمال والجودة"، على "إدارة الإبداع للتنمية المستدامة"، و"قياس الأداء على الجودة والإبداع"، و"السياسة العامة لتعزيز الإبداع في منطقة الشّرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا"، و"دور التفكير الإبداعي في تنمية إستراتيجيات التسويق في الأسواق التنافسية" و"ممارسات الموارد البشرية الناجحة في دعم الإبداع". وسيتخلل المحور أيضاً دراستي حالة حول "كيفيّة دمج الإبداع في المناهج التعليميّة" و"استخدام وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لتحويل الأعمال والمؤسّسات الحكوميّة".
ويكتسب محور "الصحة والبيئة"، الذي سيقام تحت شعار "تعزيز الصحة والتدخلات البيئية المبتكرة"، أهمية استراتيجية، كونه يتمحور حول تعزيز التكامل الإقليمي من خلال تشكيل شراكات فاعلة بين صنّاع القرر وراسمي السياسات لدعم المقاربات الصحية والبيئية المبتكرة. ويركز المحور على تعزيز الوعي بين أوساط المعنيين بقطاع الصحة حول المقاربات المبتكرة في تقنيّة المعلومات والتوحيد القياسي للبيانات في دولة الإمارات، فضلاً عن استعراض التقدم الحاصل في إدارة مصادر المياه والاستدامة البيئيّة على المستويين المحلي والإقليمي وتحديد طبيعة التحديات التي تعيق تنفيذ الإصلاحات الصحية وإيجاد حلول مبتكرة لتحسين جودة الصحة.
ويستقطب محور "الصحة والبيئة" مشاركة واسعة من المعنيين بقطاعات الصحة والبيئة والمياه والرعاية الصحية، إلى جانب راسمي السياسات البيئية وممثلين المنظمات غير الحكومية والخبراء والباحثين والأكاديميين، لتقديم أوراق عمل تتمحور حول مجموعة من المواضيع الحيوية، بما فيها "الصحة الذكية والصحة الإلكترونية"، وتحسين الجودة الصحية، و"الاستدامة البيئية"، و"التقنيات البيئية المبتكرة"، و"الصحة والسلامة المهنية" و"مقاربات التعليم الصحي والبيئي" وغيرها الكثير.
وقال الدكتور منصور العور، رئيس "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الذكية": "حرصنا على إدراج محور "إدارة الأعمال والجودة" ضمن جدول أعمال "إبداعات عربية 8"، إيماناً منّا بأهمية إدارة الجودة في الحفاظ على المنظومة الاقتصادية والتركيبة الاجتماعية استناداً إلى أسس متينة، لا سيّما عقب تداعيات الأزمة الاقتصادية والتأثيرات القوية المترتبة عن العولمة. لذا، فإننا نسعى من خلال المناقشات المرتقبة إلى دراسة سبل تعزيز أفكار "الجودة والإبداع" باعتبارها ركيزة أساسية لدفع عجلة التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية المستدامة على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي."
وأضاف العور: "تكمن أهمية محور "الصحة والبيئة" في طبيعة المواضيع المطروحة التي تهدف إلى معالجة التحديات المرتبطة بتصور وفهم وتبنّي التدخلات المبتكرة ضمن قطاعي الصحة والبيئة، اللذين يشكلان ضرورة ملحة لتوفير نمط حياة أفضل. ونتطلع من خلال المناقشات إلى استعراض أفضل الممارسات وأحدث الحلول المبتكرة ذات الصلة بحماية البيئة والحفاظ على التوازن الطبيعي وإدارة مصادر المياه والاستدامة البيئيّة على المستويين المحلّي والإقليمي، في خطوة من شأنها دعم الجهود الرامية إلى بناء مستقبل آمن ومستدام للجميع."
ويجدر الذكر بأنّ جدول أعمال "إبداعات عربية 8" سيشهد مناقشة سلسلة من أوراق العمل والأبحاث الأكاديمية الرائدة ضمن أربعة محاور رئيسة هي "إدارة الأعمال والجودة"، و"الصحة والبيئة"، و"التميز في التعليم الذكي"، و"الصيرفة والتمويل الإسلامي". وسيتخلل أيضاً عقد جلسات نقاش حية وبرنامج جوائز ولقاءات مباشرة بين أبرز الأكاديميين وصناع القرار والباحثين والخبراء وممثلي المنظمات الدولية والهيئات الحكومية ومؤسسات القطاع الخاص، لمناقشة أحدث الاتجاهات الناشئة وأبرز التحديات الحالية والمستقبلية ووضع الحلول المناسبة لتلبية احتياجات التنمية الشاملة في المنطقة العربية.
