Cairo, Egypt. January 29th, 2015. Huawei signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the African Union during the Summit 2015, regarding jointly enhance Information and Communication Technology HICT) literacy and capability and ICT infrastructure development.
Erastus Mwencha, Deputy Chairperson of African Union Commission and Mr. David Harmon, Senior Vice President of Global Government Affairs Dept signed the MoU together, and both pledged to deepen bilateral cooperation in ICT development and promoting commercial progress of the continent through ICT innovation.
Mr. Erastus Mwencha remarked:"ICT development will drive tremendous transformation in different industries, and we are looking for partners that can work with us. Huawei as an active role and a leader in the industry must have a lot of experience to share. I appreciate the efforts that Huawei has been taken in knowledge transfer, and I am happy to have Huawei in this project. "
Mr. David Harmon added:" Huawei is committed to promoting global ICT industry development through "customer-centric” and innovative solutions to bring value to its customers. At the same time, we understand the governments’ urgent need for further development of its ICT industry to support the strengthening of local infrastructure. Furthermore, knowledge transfer has also become our engagement during the operation in Africa."
Mr. Harmon also mentioned that "Huawei is working hard with our partners on all fronts to build a better connected Africa, because we believe that ICT technologies, particularly mobile broadband, are reshaping Africa and other parts of the world, and leading the next wave of sustainable social development. With our 17 years of experience within Africa’s ICT industry coupled with our extensive industry global network means that Huawei is, well positioned to share the best practices and latest ICT solutions. We are ready and willing to share our experience with the African Union."
الاتحاد الأفريقي وهواوي يوقعان مذكرة تفاهم بشأن إبرام شراكة
القاهرة، مصر. 29 يناير 2015. قامت شركة هواوي، وهي إحدى الشركات الرائدة عالميًا في تقديم حلول تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات، بتوقيع مذكرة تفاهم مع الاتحاد الأفريقي خلال قمة عام 2015 من أجل المشاركة معًا في تحسين المعرفة بتكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات وقدراتها، وفي تطوير البنية الأساسية لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات.
وقد قام إيراستوس موينتشا، نائب رئيس لجنة الأتحاد الأفريقي، وديفيد هارمون، كبير نواب رئيس إدارة الشؤون الحكومية العالمية، بتوقيع المذكرة معًا، وتعهد كلاهما بتعميق التعاون الثنائي في تطوير تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات، وتعزيز التقدم التجاري على مستوى القارة من خلال إبتكارات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات.
وقد صرح إيراستوس موينتشا قائلاً، "إن تطوير تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات من شأنه إن يؤدي إلى تحولات هائلة في مختلف الصناعات، ونحن نتطلع الى التعاون مع شركائنا. وهواوي ، بإعتبارها شركة رائدة فعالة في مجالها، فلابد أنها تتمتع بالكثير من الخبرة التي يمكن أن تشاركها مع غيرها. ونود أن نشيد بإخلاص هواوي لهذا المشروع، وأنا أتطلع إلى مزيد من التعاون مع هواوى فى هذا المشروع".
وصرح ديفيد هارمون بقوله "إن هواوي ملتزمة بتشجيع تطوير صناعة تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات عالميًا من خلال الحلول المبتكرة والمرتكزة على العملاء من أجل إشعارهم بالقيمة. وفي نفس الوقت، فنحن نتفهم الحاجات الحكومية الملحة لمزيد من تطوير صناعة تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات لدعم تعزيز البنية الأساسية المحلية. وإضافة إلى ذلك، أصبح نقل المعرفة هو محور عملنا على مستوى عملياتنا في أفريقيا."
واضاف دافيد "هواوي تعمل بجدية مع شركائنا على جميع الأصعدة من أجل بناء فرص إتصال أفضل لأفريقيا. ونحن نؤمن ان تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات خاصة النطاق العريض ستساعد فى إعادة تشكيل أفريقيا ومناطق أخرى حول العالم. فخبرتنا الممتدة على مدار 17 عامًا داخل قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات الأفريقي، مصحوبة بشبكتنا العالمية على مستوى الصناعة، تعني أن هواوي تتمتع بوضع جيد لمشاركة أفضل الممارسات وأحدث حلول تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات. ونحن مستعدون، بل وراغبون، في مشاركة خبرتنا مع الأتحاد الأفريقي."
