UAE, December 16, 2014 - RAK Properties PJSC, one of the biggest property developers listed on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, welcomed the opening of ‘The Lounge’ by Manhattan, a new chic waterfront café –featuring the first ICONS Coffee Couture outlet in Ras Al Khaimah. The inauguration was made more memorable with an attempt to break the record for the world’s largest dessert party—serving a large menu offering of sweet delicacies to a record number of attendees.
The café opening was attended by several high-profile dignitaries, including H.H Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone; Stefan Kopetz, German Celebrity Chef and Confectioner; Abdulrahman Al Neaimi, Chief Executive Officer of Manhattan Enterprises, Paul Ashton, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of RAK Properties, Mohammed Al Tair, Chief Operating Officer of RAK Properties and Elena Weber, former international model and founder of ICONS Coffee Couture.
Abdulrahman Al Neaimi, Chief Executive Officer of Manhattan said: “We are delighted to open our new branch in Mina Al Arab, a place that is enjoyed by a very strong coffee culture; we have differentiated ourselves by franchising ICONS Coffee Couture, which offers healthy products in chic surrounding.”

During the attempt to set the new world record, invited participants were asked to taste and sample three different types of sugar free desserts. In addition, organic coffee and a buffet meal was also served to the attendees during the entertaining evening.

"مشاريع مانهاتن" تفتتح مقهى "ذا لاونج" في ميناء العرب برأس الخيمة
[الإمارات، 16 ديسمبر 2014 ]– شهدت شركة "رأس الخيمة العقارية"، إحدى كبرى الشركات المتخصّصة في التطوير العقاري في إمارة رأس الخيمة والمدرجة في سوق أبوظبي للأوراق المالية، يوم أمس )الاثنين في 15 ديسمبر) افتتاح شركة "مشاريع مانهاتن" أولى فروع مقهى "ذا لاونج" (The Lounge) في إمارة رأس الخيمة، وتحديداً في "ميناء العرب" الذي يشكّل الواجهة البحرية الرئيسية في إمارة رأس الخيمة، وذلك بالتعاون مع "آيكونز كوفي كوتور". وتميّز حفل الافتتاح بتنظيم بادرة هي الأولى من نوعها تمثلت في تنظيم أكبر حفل حلويات في العالم تم ترشيحه لدخول موسوعة جينيس للأرقام القياسية.
وحضر الحفل الشيخ أحمد بن صقر القاسمي، رئيس مجلس الإدارة في هيئة المنطقة الحرّة برأس الخيمة، وعددٍ من كبار الشخصيات مثل ستيفان كوبيتز، شيف الحلويات الألماني الشهير، وعبدالرحمن النعيمي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "مشاريع مانهاتن"، وباول آشتون، نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "رأس الخيمة العقارية"، ومحمد الطير، المدير التنفيذي للعمليات في رأس الخيمة العقارية، وإيلينا ويبر، عارضة الأزياء العالمية السابقة ومؤسِّسة "آيكونز كوفي كوتور".
وقال عبدالرحمن النعيمي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "مشاريع مانهاتن": "نحن سعداء بافتتاح فرع جديد لنا في "ميناء العرب" كموقع حيوي لمرتادي المقاهي التي تتمتع بإطلالة جميلة، سيتيح المقهى فرصة لمتذوقي القهوة الغنية إذ يتميز الفرع الجديد بأنه حاصل على حق الامتياز من "آيكونز كوفي كوتور" التي تقدم منتجات صحية في أجواء متميّزة ".
وبدورها، أضافت إيلينا ويبر، مؤسّسة "آيكونز كوفي كوتور": "أصبح المستهلكون فضوليين أكثر حول معرفة المعلومات الغذائية وبحثهم عن منتج صحي وفاخر في آن معاً، وهذا يشكّل إحدى قيمنا الأساسية. وتسعى "آيكونز" جاهدة لتوفير نمط حياة صحي لعملائها من خلال تقديم المنتجات المحلاة طبيعياً والخالية من السكر لضمان أسلوب حياة صحي بامتياز".
ومن جانبه، علّق باول أشتون، نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "رأس الخيمة العقارية"، قائلاً: " يعد افتتاح "ذا لاونج" إضافة جديدة لمحلات التجزئة والمطاعم في ممشى البحيرة في ميناء العرب والذي يعتبر مجمعاً مزدهراً يقدم مجموعة واسعة ومتنوعة من المحلات التي تلبي نمط حياة مرتادي ميناء العرب. يأتي افتتاح المقهى في أعقاب افتتاح "جولدز جيم" وسيتم الإعلان عن افتتاح محلات أخرى في ممشى البحيرة في المستقبل القريب"
وشهد حفل الحلويات دعوة الحاضرين لتذوق ثلاثة أنواع مختلفة من الحلويات الخالية من السكر، وذلك في محاولة لتسجيل رقم قياسي عالمي جديد عن فئة أكبر حفل حلويات في العلم. وتم في نهاية الحفل توزيع القهوة العضوية وإقامة بوفيه مفتوح.
