Doha, December 6th, 2014: His Excellency Mr.
Nicholas Hopton, the British Ambassador to Qatar, visited the Msheireb Downtown Doha project, where he was welcomed by Eng. Abdulla Hassan Al Mehshadi, CEO of Msheireb Properties and a
group of senior management representatives. The Ambassador was given
a guided tour of the development.
Al Mehshadi updated the Ambassador on the construction progress of the QR 20 billion Msheireb Downtown Doha development,
which is billed to revive the old commercial heart of the city using a new
architectural language.
Ambassador Hopton
thanked and complimented the management of Msheireb Properties on its vision to
create a built environment that reflects the culture and the architectural
heritage of Qatar. The project, with its strong focus on sustainability, will
be the world’s first
sustainable regeneration project of a major downtown area.
