Authority reaffirms commitment to
support government aspirations to position the UAE among the top countries in
the world
Dubai, UAE – December
1, 2014 – Dubai
Airport Freezone Authority (DAFZA) celebrated the 43rd UAE National
Day with the hosting of a series of entertainment, social, and heritage events
reflecting the genuine national values of the UAE’s Union. The celebrations
were widely attended by partners and representatives of DAFZA-based companies
in the presence of employees and higher officials. They reaffirmed the
Authority’s commitment to position itself as one of the most advanced freezones
in the world, as part of the government’s aspirations to position the UAE among
the most successful and developed nations in the world.
Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Director
General of DAFZA, said that the commemoration of the establishment of the UAE
is a proud occasion for all citizens. He explained that National Day is an
ideal time to remember the leading achievements of the UAE under the wise
leadership and vision of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of
the UAE, who continues to faithfully follow the path of the late Sheikh Zayed
Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his brothers, the other founding fathers of the
nation.
Dr. Al Zarooni added: “As we
celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the UAE’s establishment, we offer
our heartfelt congratulations to H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan,
President of the UAE; H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice
President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Their
Excellencies the Rulers of the Emirates. We reaffirm our commitment to
supporting the country’s march towards development, excellence and leadership
and will continue to assist in nationwide efforts to consolidate the UAE’s
international standing as a leading development model.”
Among the special activities held
at DAFZA’s main headquarters was the raising of the UAE flag in the presence of
representatives from Dubai Police Academy. The event served as a symbolic
expression of loyalty, patriotism and commitment to serving and protecting the
country and a reaffirmation of the Academy’s promise to uphold the genuine
values on which the UAE is founded. Another highlight was a show featuring
children from the Rashid Centre for the Disabled who expressed their loyalty
and dedication to rising above their disabilities in the service of their
country. Other related activities also reflected DAFZA’s commitment to the
vision and directives of the leadership in consolidating national and social
integration–a key pillar in building a strong and stable society.
DAFZA continues to support the
goals of the UAE Vision 2021 development plan aimed at building a diverse and
flexible knowledge-based economy led by qualified and skilled Emiratis. This
support is applied through the focus on optimal investments into National manpower
and the implementation of a localization policy that has resulted in the 100
per cent localization of senior management positions.
DAFZA believes that women are
integral to the fulfilment of its vision being ranked among the most
sophisticated free zones in the world. The authority is committed to increase
the contributions of its female Emirati staff in a country where women
currently occupy 34 per cent of leadership positions. It is also proud of its
young staff members who will be joining the national service. This reflects
DAFZA’s commitment towards fulfilling its national duties and following the
guidance of the country’s wise leadership.

تحتفي بالعيد الوطني الثالث والأربعين بفعاليات تجسّد روح الاتحاد

بمطار دبي "دافزا" بالعيد الوطني الثالث والأربعين لدولة الإمارات، وذلك
بإطلاق سلسلة من الفعاليات الترفيهية والاجتماعية والتراثية والوطنية التي تجسّد قيم
وطنية سامية ترجمت روح الاتحاد. وشهدت الاحتفالية مشاركة واسعة من الشركاء وممثلين
عن 1600 شركة من الشركات العاملة ضمن المنطقة الحرة، إلى جانب الإدارات العليا التي
جدّدت التزامها بالمضي قدماً في تعزيز ريادة "دافزا" كإحدى أكثر المناطق
الحرة تطوّراً في العالم، بما يخدم تطلعات القيادة الرشيدة في الوصول بالإمارات
إلى مصاف الدول الناجحة والمتقدّمة.
وأوضح الدكتور محمد الزرعوني، مدير عام "دافزا"، بأنّ الاحتفال
بذكرى تأسيس الاتحاد يمثل مناسبة وطنية يفخر بها جميع أبناء الدولة، لافتاً إلى
أنّ العيد الوطني يشكل محطة هامة لاستذكار مسيرة الإنجازات الرائدة التي تقودها
الإمارات في ظل القيادة الحكيمة والرؤية السديدة لصاحب السمو الشيخ خليفة بن زايد
آل نهيان، رئيس الدولة، حفظه الله ورعاه، الذي حمل الأمانة بإخلاص، متابعاً مسيرة
الاتحاد التي أرسى دعائمها الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، طيب الله ثراه، وإخوانه
الحكّام الأوائل، رحمهم الله.
وأضاف الزرعوني: "لا يسعنا، ونحن نحتفل بالذكرى الثالثة والأربعين
لتأسيس الاتحاد، سوى أن نتقدّم بأسمى آيات التهاني والتبريكات إلى مقام صاحب السمو
الشيخ خليفة بن زايد آل نهيان رئيس الدولة، حفظه الله ورعاه، وإلى مقام صاحب السمو
الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي، رعاه
الله، وأصحاب السمو حكام الإمارات، مؤكّدين التزامنا بمواصلة مسيرة التطور والتميز
والريادة لدعم الجهود الوطنية الرامية إلى ترسيخ حضور دولة الإمارات على الخارطة العالمية
كنموذج تنموي رائد."
وشهدت الاحتفالية، التي أقيمت في المبنى الرئيسي للمنطقة الحرة، حَمْل
العَلَم الإماراتي بحضور ممثلين من "أكاديمية شرطة دبي"، في مبادرة
رمزية تؤكّد مشاعر الولاء والانتماء والالتزام بخدمة وحماية الوطن وتجدّد العهد
بالحفاظ على القيم الأصيلة التي قام عليها اتحاد الإمارات، إضافة إلى مشاركة أطفال
"مركز راشد للمعاقين"، الذين قدموا لوحة وطنية عبروا فيها عن ولائهم
وإصرارهم لتحدي إعاقتهم في خدمة الوطن. وجاءت مشاركات
الجهات الأخرى ضمن التزام "دافزا" بتجسيد رؤية وتوجيهات القيادة الحكيمة
في ترسيخ قيم التلاحم الوطني والمجتمعي باعتبارها الأساس لبناء مجتمع قوي ومستقر.
والجدير بالذكر بأنّ "دافزا" تواصل دعم أهداف "رؤية
الإمارات 2021" الرامية إلى بناء اقتصاد معرفي متنوّع ومرن تقوده كفاءات
إماراتية عالية، وذلك من خلال التركيز على الاستثمار الأمثل في العنصر البشري
المواطن وتطبيق سياسة التوطين. وإيماناً منها بدور المرأة في دعم "رؤية
دافزا" للوصول إلى مصاف أكثر المناطق الحرة تطوراً في العالم، فإنها تولي
اهتماماً لافتاً بزيادة مساهمة الكوادر النسائية الإماراتية في المناصب القيادية الحيوية،
والبالغة حالياً 34%. كما تفخر "دافزا" بموظفيها الشباب الذين سينتسبون
إلى الخدمة الوطنية، وهو ما يعكس مدى التزامها المطلق بمسؤولياتها الوطنية وسعيها
الحثيث لتطبيق التوجيهات السديدة للقيادة الرشيدة.
