MORE THAN 700 JUMEIRAH GOLF ESTATES RESIDENTS WATCH THIS YEAR’S DP WORLD TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP FROM THEIR HOMES

·       Increasing number of homeowners move into residential golf community following steady increase in property handovers
·       More than 1,000 residents expected to call Jumeirah Golf Estates home by Summer 2015

Dubai, UAE, 20th November 2014: As Jumeirah Golf Estates cements its position as Dubai’s premium residential golf community, more than 700 residents have moved into their homes in time to watch this year’s DP World Tour Championship 2014, kicking off on 20-23 November 2014.

Progress comes as Jumeirah Golf Estates continues to develop a world-class set of community facilities, including its brand new Clubhouse, which was officially inaugurated this week by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group.

Yousuf Kazim, General Manager of Jumeirah Golf Estates, said, “This year has been marked by a series of significant milestones for Jumeirah Golf Estates and to have more than 700 of our residents enjoying their homes and the new Clubhouse on the sidelines of this global tournament is just fantastic.

“As we look forward to welcoming more homeowners throughout the remainder of 2014 and beyond, we are making major developments in the completion of our communities. 95% of Whispering Pines properties have now been handed over, Flame Tree Ridge is set for completion in Q1 2015 and residents continue to set up in Sienna Lakes and Lime Tree Valley among our other communities.” added Kazim.

For Neal Graham, General Manager of Club Operations at Jumeirah Golf Estates, the enhancement of facilities has been key to interest in the communities, “With the opening of the Clubhouse, our residents have access to an incredible facility, and alongside our European Tour Performance Institute and two championship golf courses, we are promising golfers and members a valuable, world-class proposition. On the back of this superior offering, our membership packages have now reached capacity, with spaces now only held for residents of Jumeirah Golf Estates until further notice.”

Ranging from informal to fine dining, the arrival of the new Clubhouse brings a host of delicious dining options to Jumeirah Golf Estates, including Fresca Café and Delicatessen, Swirl Bar and Lounge and Flame Tree Restaurant & Grill. The Clubhouse is also set to become a popular venue for events of all sizes, with facilities suited to host intimate or large scale gatherings with spectacular views of the Dubai skyline. There are also plenty of activities to keep the children entertained, with a dedicated children’s swimming pool, play area and games area including a pool table, iPad stations and tennis facilities.

“Given the extensive array of recreational facilities now on offer in the heart of the community, we anticipate increased demand for our growing property portfolio especially our recently launched Redwood Park and Redwood Avenue developments,” concluded Kazim.

These developments come ahead of this year’s DP World Tour Championship, a world class sporting and social event and the final tournament of the European Tour’s Race to Dubai.  Now celebrating its sixth year, the championship is taking place over four days on the 72 par Earth course amongst Jumeirah Golf Estates’ growing residential community.

Jumeirah Golf Estates is part of European Tour Properties – a network of world class golf venues which all have a close association with the European Tour, one of the game’s foremost organizations.
