2014’ that aims to advance growth of smart learning in the region

Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) is set to host an international jury who
will be tasked with selecting winners for the ‘Smart Learning Best Practice
Award,’ an awards program that will honor and recognize best practices followed
in today’s academic and training institutions across the world. The event is
being held along the sidelines of the ‘Smart Learning Best Practice Forum
2014,’ a first-of-its-kind event aimed at encouraging the exchange of best
practices and the development of new online learning standards to encourage the
continual growth and development of smart learning.
The international jury is composed of
acadmic professionals and leading experts in developing and transferring best
practices and smart learning systems including Dr. Julia Little (USA), Prof.
Tian Belawati (Indonesia), Dr. Alan Bruce from the European Network for
European Distance and E-Learning Network (EDEN) and Dr. Charles Aubrey from the
International Academy for Quality (IAQ). The high-level international
participation represents the key importance placed in the ‘Smart Learning Best
Practice Award”. The award is being positioned as a quality initiative designed
to honor the best practices applied in academic and training institutions
around the world and thereby ensuring the quality of smart learning, which has
become one of the most distinctive features of the modern era based on the
latest technical developments.

محمد الذكية" عن مشاركة لجنة تحكيم دولية تضم نخبة من الشخصيات الأكاديمية
والخبراء البارزين في تطوير ونقل أفضل الممارسات وأنظمة التعليم الذكي في
"جائزة أفضل الممارسات في التعليم الذكي" المقررة على جدول أعمال الدورة
الافتتاحية من "ملتقى أفضل الممارسات في التعليم الذكي 2014"، الذي يعتبر
الحدث الأوّل من نوعه المتمحور حول تشجيع تبادل أفضل الممارسات ودعم تطبيق أعلى
المعايير في المؤسسات التعليمية والأكاديمية والتدريبية في مختلف أنحاء العالم من
أجل دفع عجلة التطوّر والنمو المستمرين للتعليم الذكي.
وتضم لجنة التحكيم الدولية في عضويتها كل من البروفيسور تيان بيلاواتي من
إندونيسيا والدكتورة جوليا ليتل من الولايات المتحدة
الأمريكية والدكتور ألان بروس من "الشبكة الأوروبية للتعليم الإلكتروني
والتعلّم عن بعد" (EDEN) والدكتور تشارلز أوبري من
"الأكاديمية الدولية للجودة" (IAQ). وتؤكد
المشاركة العالمية رفيعة المستوى أهمية "جائزة أفضل الممارسات في التعليم
الذكي" التي تعتبر مبادرة نوعية تهدف إلى تكريم أفضل الممارسات المطبّقة لدى
المؤسسات التعليمية والتدريبية في مختلف أنحاء العالم لضمان جودة التعليم الذكي
الذي بات أحد أبرز الملامح المميزة للعصر الحديث القائم على التطورات التقنية وغير
المسبوقة.
وتستند عمليات التقييم في "جائزة أفضل الممارسات في التعليم
الذكي" إلى مجموعة من المعايير الموّحدة التي تشمل "الحداثة
والإبتكار" و"التوافقية" و"قابلية التنفيذ"
و"قابلية التحويل" و"النضج" و"الإستدامة"، وذلك ضمن
سبع فئات رئيسية هي "التعليم الذكي" و"المركزية حول المتعلم"
و"التوجه نحو التميز" و"الشراكات الذكية" و"استغلال
التقنيات" و"استخدام الموارد" و"الإبتكار في العمليات".
وقالت البروفيسور تيان بيلاواتي، رئيسة "جامعة
تيربوكا"، جامعة إندونيسيا المفتوحة: "تعتبر "جائزة أفضل الممارسات
في التعليم الذكي" إحدى أبرز المبادرات التي توفر القوة الدافعة من أجل دفع
عجلة التجديد والتحديث وريادة الأعمال وتعزيز قاعدة المعرفة ونشر قيم التعليم
الذّكي الذي يعتبر ركيزة أساسية لتحقيق الميزة التنافسية. وأودّ أن أتوجه بالشكر
إلى "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الذكية" على إطلاق وتنظيم الجائزة التي تستهدف
تقدير أفضل الممارسات المتبعة في المؤسسات التعليمية والأكاديمية في مختلف أنحاء
العالم مع التركيز بصورة رئيسية على منطقة الشرق الأوسط. وتشرفني المشاركة في هذه
المبادرة التي تحظى بأهمية عالية باعتبارها إضافة هامة لدعم عجلة تطوير التعليم
الذكي بما يواكب متطلبات العصر الحديث."
من جانبها، قالت الدكتورة جوليا ليتل، نائب رئيس
قسم التعليم والتعلم والتطوير المهني في "إدكوس" (EDUCAUSE):
"أودّ أن أثني على جهود المشاركين بـ "جائزة أفضل الممارسات في التعليم
الذكي 2014"، التي تنظمها "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الذكية" والتي تصب في
وضع أساس متين لإرساء أفضل الممارسات في مجال التعليم ضمن المؤسسات التعليمية
والأكاديمية والتدريبية من أجل دفع عجلة التطوّر والنمو المستمرين للتعليم الذكي.
وحققت "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الذكية" خطوة سبّاقة في استضافة "ملتقى
أفضل الممارسات في التعليم الذكي 2014" الذي يهدف إلى تشجيع الابتكار
والإبداع في مجال التعليم الذكي الذي بات ركيزة أساسية ومطلباً ملحاً لتطبيق خطط
التحول إلى نموذج "المدينة الذكية". ويشرفني أن أكون جزءاً من لجنة التحكيم
في الدورة الافتتاحية التي شهدت ترشيحات قوية تعكس مستوى الإبداع والابتكار
والجهود الحثيثة للارتقاء بجودة التعليم الذكي."
وأكّد الدكتور منصور العور، رئيس "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الذكية"،
أهمية "ملتقى أفضل الممارسات في التعليم الذكي 2014" الذي يهدف إلى دعم
الجهود الرامية إلى تجسيد الأهداف الطموحة لمبادرة التعلم الذكي التي أطلقها صاحب
السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي،
رعاه الله، تمهيداً لجعل دبي المدينة الأذكى في العالم بحلول العام 2021. وتوجه
بالشكر الجزيل لأعضاء لجنة التحكيم الدولية رفيعة المستوى مثمناً الدور البارز
التي تلعبه اللجنة في إنماء وتطوير ونقل أفضل الممارسات وأنظمة التعليم الذكي حول
العالم.
وأوضح العور بأنّ الملتقى سيمثل منصة هامة لنشر الوعي حول الدور الحيوي
الذي يقوم به التعليم الذكي على صعيد دفع عجلة التحوّل الذكي في إمارة دبي، لافتاً
إلى أنّ جدول أعمال الحدث يركز بالدرجة الأولى على تسهيل تبادل أحدث المعلومات
وأفضل الممارسات مع أبرز الخبراء الإقليميين والدوليين في مجال التعليم الذكي
وتكنولوجيا المعلومات.
ويجدر الذكر بأنّ "ملتقى أفضل الممارسات في التعليم الذكي 2014"
سيقام يومي 20 و21 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر الجاري في حرم "جامعة حمدان بن محمد
الذكية". وإلى جانب "جائزة أفضل الممارسات في التعليم الذكي"، سيتخلل
جدول أعمال الحدث سلسلة من ورش العمل التفاعلية والجلسات النقاشية التي ستشهد
مداخلات افتراضية عبر شبكة الإنترنت من المشاركين من مختلف أنحاء العالم.
The evaluation of entries to be
conducted by the international jury is organized by HBMSU and will fall in
accordance with key standards such as Novelty & Innovativeness; Compatibility;
Implementability; Transferability; Maturity and Sustainability. The inaugural
awards will have seven categories—Smart Learning, Smart Partnership, Technology
Exploitation, Resource Utilization, Excellence Orientation, Process Innovation
and Learner Centricity.
Tian Belawati, Rector, Universitas
Terbuka (Indonesia Open University), said, "The ‘Smart Learning Best
Practice Award’ is an excellent initiative that acts as the driving force for
the advancement of modernization and entrepreneurship, enhancing the knowledge
base and spreading the values of education, which is considered an important
element for achieving a competitive advantage. I salute HBMSU for launching and
organizing ‘Smart Learning Best Practice Award,’ which is intended to recognize
the best practices in smart learning done by either educational institutions or
corporations across the world, especially in the Middle East region. Such an
initiative can only encourage the further development of innovations in the
field of education to enhance the quality of education provisions. Smart
learning can also help widen access of education to the masses. I am honoured

innovation and creativity in smart learning which became an essential component
for the application of the plans in shifting towards ‘Smart City’. I am most

innovation and access for educational and corporate learning programs.”

Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice president and Prime

expect that this event will bolster more awareness on the significant role that

learning and IT,” Dr. Al Awar concluded.
The “Smart Learning Best Practice Forum
2014” will be held on October 20 and October 21, 2104 at HBMSU campus. Aside
from the ‘Smart Learning Best Practice Award,’ the exciting two-day event will
also include a series of interactive workshops, networking breaks, and
presentations. The first-of-its-kind forum will also see virtual presentations
from participants via internet from all around the world.
