forum was successfully held in Tunisia resort of Hammamet. Around 100
Guests from Tunisia, Mauritania, China, Romania, France and other
countries attended the forum, including officials, experts and
scholars from multiple fields such as health, culture and education,
information communication, transportation, administration. A warm
discussion has been engaged centering on the theme of E-government in
Cloud computing Era.
Mr
Tawfik Jelassi, Minister of higher education, scientific research &
ICT addressed in the Broader way. He expressed appreciation of Huawei
several years’ consecutive participation in ICT4ALL activities and
the insisting support of ICT development in Tunisia. In terms of the
theme of Huawei hosted broader way, the envision of building a better
connected world completely coincides with the national plan of
Digital Tunisia 2018. Benefitted from Tunisia’s favorable
talents resources and the geographical advantage connected between
Africa, Europe and Asia, he expressed confidence in realizing the
plan of digital Tunisia 2018 by means of successful cooperation
between the government and enterprises.
Mr.
Xuyong, Vice President of Huawei North Africa gave the opening
remarks, introducing Huawei Technologies convincible performance of
this year in the global and North Africa region in the range of ultra
broadband, mobile broadband, enterprise network and smart devices,
and emphasizing Huawei’s technology and services innovation in
multiple areas to meet the needs of sustainable development raised by
the government and carrier customers. The
globally distributed R & D centers and training centers have been
providing strong support to the North Africa as well as Tunisia’s
the ICT transformation and digital economy development.
Experts
and scholars pointed out, the mankind has already entered the cloud
computing era and the era calls for "Big data, Cloud computing
and Trans-boundary collaboration". The construction of "service
oriented e-government cloud services platform" was to represent
the universal trend. Currently it is the striving direction steered
by the governments and organizations. A better connected world is in
sight! At the same time, concerning how to construct e-government
platform based on cloud computing, what kind of service platform to
be constructed, the guests also actively offer suggestions and
advocated the building of "one net, one data, one common service
platform", calling on the government to follow the methodology
of Top-Design, namely, building up higher level leadership and
organization. It was necessary to release the matching strategy and
policy and establish organized, orderly, efficient tracking system.
About the construction modes and methods, the experts share the
successful experience of South Korea, Singapore, South Africa, Angola
and other countries.
For
the Tunisian construction of digital economy, the grand goal of
e-government, the participating experts and scholars were full of
confidence. They thought Tunisia have better infrastructure,
excellent ICT culture and talents, endowed by nature fascinating
geographical position, thus a better connected digital society is
coming soon.
As
the biggest event in ICT sector of Tunisia, ICT4ALL2014 forum was
held on September 22-25 in HAMMAMET City. The theme of
this year is digital economy and e-government.
