Envivio’s Vice President-Strategy and Corporate Development Arnaud Perrier commented, “We are excited to share with operators at SCTE our latest software innovations in video processing, delivery and personalization. We look forward to discussing with them our many successful case studies, including live 4K video in HEVC at the 2014 World Cup for Globosat, multi-screen time shifting and targeted advertising. We will also debut our cloud-based SaaS video solution Envivio Nuage.”

Video processing
Envivio will showcase advanced innovations in video processing with Muse™ 4.0 and Guru™ 4.50, the latest releases of Envivio’s award-winning compression and management software:
-       Video compression and preprocessing improvements in MPEG-2, AVC and HEVC to reclaim bandwidth in satellite, cable or broadcast distribution and address the newest breed of live and on-demand OTT services in 1080p60 and Ultra HD.
-       Live stream switching, a new function allowing seamless video switching between sources at a scheduled time. Operators can now streamline their ad replacement or content black-out workflows, independently of client devices or formats.
-       Guru Service view, an innovative interface allowing operators to monitor all their services at once, and explore each video service  workflow separately.

Also, Envivio will demonstrate live 10-bit Ultra-HD HEVC encoding to Sagemcom and Technicolor set-top boxes, and MPEG-DASH streaming to Samsung Ultra HD connected TV sets.
With its partner Dolby, Envivio will also showcase the future of broadcast, combining Dolby AC-4 and HEVC for high efficiency audio and video processing.
Video Delivery
Significant improvements will also be showcased in multi-screen delivery, with the latest functional additions in Envivio Halo™:
-       Increased DRM support, with Microsoft PlayReady, Adobe Primetime DRM, and the newly released Cisco NDS VideoGuard Connect across multiple streaming protocols.
-       Multi-CDN origin server, reducing operator costs in storage and management.
-       Increased software efficiency for live and dynamic packaging, reducing the footprint required for live and on-demand services delivery.

Video Personalization
In order to make content consumption even more appealing to consumers and increase operator monetization from these services, Envivio is introducing new innovative applications in its portfolio:
-       Smart Cloud DVR: with its partners Wildmoka and Wyplay, Envivio will demonstrate a program-accurate Cloud DVR service across multiple devices. The demonstration combines Cloud DVR technology from Envivio, automatic program boundary recognition and chaptering from Wildmoka and Frog by Wyplay, the middleware solution for set-top-boxes and connected devices.
-       Seamless real-time ads targeting: Envivio along with Wildmoka and Wyplay will demonstrate how broadcasters can make Personal TV even more personal, enabling them to dynamically replace, automatically and in real-time, the ads in a program by targeted ads. The solution can perform automatic ad detection and does not require any specific device integration.
-       Premium multi-screen VOD services:  Envivio and Civolution, the industry reference in content forensic watermarking, have developed a joint solution allowing distributors to put a unique watermark for distributed content without requiring any specific client device integration.

Envivio Nuage?
-       A virtualized, software-as-a-service (SAAS) video solution, Envivio Nuage, manages and delivers content for live and on-demand video - from content acquisition to the consumer - on any screen.  Envivio Nuage encompasses all the technology offered by Envivio for video processing, delivery and personalization, along with partner technologies for DRM.
