Amazing Taste and Sound of Thailand this September


- Event calendar of Thai Events, Concert and Food Tastings in the UAE all throughout September -
(Dubai, 17 September 2014) – September is the perfect month to enjoy Thai food and music in the UAE as Tourism Authority of Thailand, Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Royal Thai Consulate in Dubai in cooperation with UAE Authorities organize series of events and activities all over the country that will truly take you to amazing Thailand!
The Royal Thai Consulate in Dubai and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced ‘The Amazing Tastes of Thailand Fest 2014’ is to be held from 18 September – 27 September 2014 across different hotels and restaurants in the UAE. Throughout the week-long Thai Food Festival, UAE residents and visitors will have the opportunity to participate in different activities such as cooking classes and experience free tasting of authentic Thai fruits and delicacies from OTOP (One Tambol, One Product) in all participating Thai restaurants all over the country.
Speaking about the Amazing Tastes of Thailand Festival, Tourism Authority of Thailand Director for the Middle East, Mr Chalermsak Suranant said: “For its fourth year, The Amazing Taste of Thailand Food Festival 2014 is definitely bigger and better as we partner with Royal Thai Consulate in Dubai. The festival will continue to delight UAE residents and visitors with world-renowned Thai fruits and delicacies. The festival aims to promote the brand ‘Amazing Thailand, It begins with the people”, with a core focus on the uniqueness of “Thainess” and the Thais’ natural hospitality, genuine warmness and friendly faces ready to welcome guests from around the world, which are all reflected in every Thai dishes”
The celebration will kick-off with a pre-launch event and press conference at Nosh Restaurant and Urban Bar & Kitchen, Movenpick, Jumeirah Lakes Tower on 18th September where top delegates from Thailand will showcase their appetizing fruits and delicacies.
As part of the festival and celebration, numerous events and activities are lined up in Dubai and Abu Dhabi all throughout the month of September:
Friday, 19th September, 7:00 PM
Amazing Tastes of Thailand Dinner Reception at Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa. The event will be participated by 15 Thai restaurants all over Dubai showcasing their culinary expertise. UAE media and VIPs will be invited to attend the event.

Monday, 22nd September
A charity dinner in support of EWA’A Shelters for Victims of Human Trafficking  resources, co-organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi and EWA’A”.
The theme of the event is “One night in Bangkok" and will be held at Eastern Mangroves Hotel and Spa by Anantara in Abu Dhabi.
The event will be participated by renowned chefs such as: Chef Jamnong Nirungsan, Chef Chumpol Jangprai, Chef Dylan Jones and Chef Prin Polsun.  The event will be entertained by a famous Thailand saxophone player, Kho Mr. Saxman.
Note: The attendees are required to appear in business attires or national dress.
Ticket price is AED 1,000. Space is limited and will be allocated on first-come-first-serve basis.

The theme of the event is "One night in Phuket" and will be held at Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa in Dubai (main hall).
The event will be participated by renowned chefs such as: Chef Jamnong Nirungsan, Chef Chumpol Jangprai, Chef Dylan Jones and Chef Prin Polsun.  The event will be entertained by a famous Thailand saxophone player, Kho Mr. Saxman.
Note: The dress code is smart causal

Wives of UAE-based Thai Chefs and Consuls together with influential Arab women will display their cooking skills at a live cooking lesson at Movenpick, Jumeirah Lakes Tower.

Siam Sinfonietta Performs Live at Emirates Palace auditorium, Abu Dhabi.
The Royal Thai Embassy, together with Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, Emirates Palace, and Etihad Airways, presents the full-size world’s award-winning youth orchestra of 60 musicians, Siam Sinfonietta.
The Siam Sinfonietta is Thailand’s internationally acclaimed and award-winning youth orchestra. Founded in 2010 by Silpathorn Kittikhun Award Laureate Somtow Sucharitkul.
The Orchestra will be conducted by Maestro Trisdee Na Patalung, ranked as one of the world’s ten best conductors under age 30, and its founder, Maestro Somtow.
