that includes luxury accommodation, a stylish arrival and access to the
Oktoberfest, and a host of Bavarian treats. The package is valid from 20 September to 4 October 2014.
Dating
back to 1810, the sixteen day annual festival is an important and much
anticipated part of Bavarian culture. Experience some of Germany’s
finest beers, all of which have been brewed in Munich, and sample some
of the traditional food, including specialties such as Schweinebraten roast pork, Würstl sausages, Brezn pretzels and Käsespätzle cheese noodles.
The
Oktoberfest package from Mandarin Oriental, Munich allows guests access
to the brand new ‘Marstall’ tent at the Oktoberfest. Originally the
name of a 19thcentury court riding school and meeting point for
equestrians, the Marstall played a vital role in the Oktoberfest. The
new Marstall tent pays homage to these equestrian roots and is decorated
with horse motifs, and an entrance that is marked by a carriage with a
team of four horses. The interior is decked with a host of magnificent
wooden horses from days gone by, while the showpiece is the musicians’
stage, designed in the form of a carousel.
The
package includes arrival at Oktoberfest in style, in a carriage from
Mandarin Oriental, Munich direct to the festival. Guests will be guided
by a VIP host and treated to delicious drinks and traditional Bavarian
pretzels on the way.. Guests staying at Mandarin Oriental, Munich over
the festival period will also receive a beer mug created by the hotel,
and Bavarian amenities in room on arrival to celebrate the Oktoberfest
spirit.
As
well as various activities taking place across Munich, the elegant
Mandarin Oriental will be offering beer tastings and a special
Oktoberfest menu within its relaxed Mandarin Bar.
The
Oktoberfest package at Mandarin Oriental, Munich starts from EUR 1,195
per night, based on two people sharing a Superior Room and includes:
