A contract worth around €750 million for Alstom
Alstom, as part of a consortium1, has been awarded a contract by Qatar Railways
Company (QRAIL) to supply a turnkey tramway system for a 4-line tram network in
Lusail, Qatar. The contract was signed in Paris, France in the presence of the Emir
Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, French President, François Hollande and Patrick
Kron, Alstom Chairman & CEO. Alstom’s share of the contract is around €750 million2
including options for 32 additional tramways.
The 4-line network will cross the city covering a distance of 33 km, including 7km
underground and 37 stations. The system is expected to enter commercial service
from 2018.
Alstom will provide the city of Lusail with its fully integrated tramway system
including the design, manufacturing, commissioning and servicing of 35 Citadis
tramways, power supply equipment (substations, catenary and APS3), signalling and
trackworks.
The Citadis tram for Lusail will be 32 metres long. It will offer high-end comfort to
passengers, thanks to enhanced communications with passenger information and
security systems both at stations and on-board. The tramways will be fully low floor to
enable easier access for all passengers.

The city of Lusail, located to the north of Doha, is the first city to launch a turnkey
tramway system in Qatar. Lusail will be the second tramway system deployed in the
Gulf countries by Alstom with APS technology. Technical adaptations have been
made on the APS solution to enable catenary-free operation in extreme
temperatures.

Ground power supply
More than 1,800 Citadis tramsets have been sold to more than 40 cities in the world
and are in operation since 2000. Citadis is environmentally-friendly and is up to 98%
recyclable.
Several Alstom sites will be involved in the project including Le Creusot, Ornans,
Tarbes and Villeurbanne in France.

فاز الكونسورتيوم1 الذي تشارك فيه شركة ألستوم بعقد توريد نظام الترام الجاهز لشبكة
تتألف من أربعة خطوط ترام أساسية إلى شركة سكك الحديد القطرية (الريل)، وقد تم
ت وقيع هذا العقد في المدينة الفرنسية باريس في حضور األمير الشيخ تميم آل ثاني والرئيس
الفرنسي فرانسوا هوالند والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة الستوم باتريك كرون. وتقدر حصة
شركة ألستوم من هذا العقد بحوالي 750 مليون يورو2. كما يضم هذا المشروع احتمال
توريد الشركة ل32 ترام اضافي.
ان هذة الشبكة تربط بين أجزاء مدينة لوسيل المختلفة 3وتغطي 22 كيلومتر من السكك
الحديدية متضمنة 0 كيلومترات تحت األرض كما أنها تشمل 02 محطة ركاب ومن
المتوقع أن يبدأ تشغيل هذا النظام ابتدءا من عام 2073. ويشمل هذا العقد توفير التصاميم
والتصنيع والتشغيل والخدمة لخمسة وثالثين ترام سيتاديس باالضافة إلى االشارات
الضوئية وكهرباء السكك الحديدية (الخاصة بالمحطات وأسلكة القطارات الكهربائية و ال

ويقدم ترام لوسيل الذي يصل طوله الى 32 متر األريحية العالية للركاب، وذلك بفضل
أنظمة تكنولوجيا االتصاالت والمعلومات عن الركاب وأنظمة األمن المتوافرة سواء في
المحطات أوعلى متن القطارات فضال عن تكنولوجيا الممرات المنخفضة التي تيسر
وصول جميع الركاب الى المحطات.
وقد صرح السيد هنري بوبار الفارج رئيس شركة ألستوم للنقل قائال: "بدأت شركة ألستوم
للنقل ،اعتبارا من اليوم، بتوفير نظام الترام الجاهز ألكثر من 53 مدينة. ويدل مشروع
ترام لوسيل على الخبرة التي تتمتع بها الشركة في جميع قطاعات سوق السكك الحديدية،
كما ستستفيد أيضا لوسيل من ترام سيتادس الذي ثبت نجاحه والذي يعد أهم منتج في
مجموعتنا. ان هذا النظام الجديد في الشرق األوسط يدل على نجاح استراتيجيتنا العالمية
والروابط الوثيقة التي تربطنا بالمنطقة."
تعد مدينة لوسيل التي تقع شمالي الدوحة المدينة األولى التي توفر نظام الترام الجاهز في
قطر والمدينة الثانية على مستوى دول الخليج التي تستخدم نظام ألستوم لتغذية الكهرباء
األرضية وقد تم إضافة بعض التعديالت على هذا النظام لتوفير أنظمة دون أسالك
الكهرباء العلوية والتي تناسب درجات الحرارة المرتفعة.
