VFS Global celebrates 75 million applications milestone by encouraging staff to volunteer work time and services towards social causes.

In less than two years of achieving 50 million applications processed milestone, VFS Global through its expanded network of operations, has completed the 75th million milestone last month. To celebrate the same VFS Global has identified 75 social activities across the globe which it will participate in.

A journey that started in 2001 now spans across 108 countries partnering 45 Governments. This global company now has a multicultural representation with employees from 108 nationalities that are part of the big VFS Global family.

As a gesture of ensuring every staff is a part of this milestone, VFS Global has organised 75 different activities across the globe that supports various social causes. These activities have been suggested by the teams working across the globe after identifying how they could share their moment with their society and will be completed within the next 3 months. In the words of Zubin Karkaria, Chief Executive Officer, “In line with our deep-rooted commitment towards sustainable business practices, we consider it an honour and an ethical responsibility to contribute to the development of society at large, and we are very pleased to be able to undertake this global Corporate Responsibility program.”

VFS Global has been operating in the Middle East since 2004 and over the last 10 years has grown the operation to 120 Visa Application Centres serving 21 Client Governments spread across the region.

100 employees of VFS Global in Dubai took part in a Blood – Donation Camp as one of their activities in the 75m global CSR initiative. This took place at WAFI Mall where the company houses their finest Visa Application Centres. The donation is to support the Dubai Blood Donation Centre under the Dubai Health Authority where it will be provided to help children suffering with Thalassemia, trauma patients and other hospitals in the UAE depending on the need. The management and staff at VFS Global were honoured to be a part of this effort that encouraged individuals to give back to society to mark an important milestone.

Paul John Maliekkal, the Regional CEO of the region was present at the activity to participate and extend support to his teams at the event. He said, “It is indeed an honour for me and my team to support Dubai Blood Donation Centre through this initiative. It is our responsibility to contribute to society and this milestone seemed befitting of an event such as this. We look forward to many more activities with such organisations to help us support worthy causes.”

حققت "في أف أس جلوبال"، الشهر الماضي علامة أخرى في مسيرة أعمالها وهي معالجة 75 مليون تطبيق لطلب تأشيرة دخول، بفضل شبكة أعمالها الموسعة، وذلك بعد أن نجحت خلال أقل من عامين في الوصول إلى نقطة مهمة في تاريخها وهي معالجة 50 مليون تطبيق. ومن أجل الاحتفال بهذه المناسبة، قامت "في أس أف جلوبال" بتحديد 75 نشاطا اجتماعيا في كافة أنحاء العالم سوف تشارك فيها.

تمتد الرحلة، التي بدأت عام 2001، في 108 دولة بالشراكة مع 45 حكومة. والآن تمتلك هذه الشركة العالمية تمثيلا متعدد الثقافات مع عاملين من 108 جنسية هم جزء من أسرة "في أف أس جلوبال" الدولية.

وكبادرة للتأكد من أن كل العاملين جزء من هذه اللحظة الفارقة، قامت في أف أس جلوبال بتنظيم 75 نشاطا مختلفا تدعم أنشطة اجتماعية متنوعة. الفريق العامل عالميا هو من اقترح هذه الأنشطة بعد أن حدد كيف يمكنهم أن يتقاسموا هذه اللحظة المهمة في تاريخ شركتهم مع مجتمعاتهم وسوف تكتمل المبادرة في غضون الشهور الثلاثة القادمة. ويقول زوبين كاركاريا، الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة، إنه: "تماشيا مع إلتزامنا العميق الجذور حيال ممارسات أعمال مستدامة، فإننا نعتبر أنه شرف لنا ومسئولية أخلاقية أن نساهم في تطوير المجتمع بصفة عامة، ونحن في غاية السرور لأننا قادرون على تنفيذ هذا البرنامج العالمي للمسئولية المجتمعية".

تعمل "في أف أس جلوبال" في الشرق الأوسط منذ عام 2004 وخلال السنوات العشر الماضيات قامت بتنمية عملها إلى 120 مركزا لتطبيقات تأشيرات الدخول تخدم 21 حكومة في أنحاء المنطقة.

قام 100 من العاملين في "في أف أس جلوبال" في دبي بالمشاركة في حملة للتبرع بالدم كأحد أنشطتهم في مبادرة 75 مليون العالمية للمسئولية المجتمعية للأعمال. أقيمت الحملة في مول وافي حيث يوجد أفضل مراكز المجموعة لتطبيقات تأشيرة الدخول. التبرع يأتي دعما لمركز دبي للتبرع بالدم تحت رعاية هيئة صحة دبي حيث يتم تقديمه لمساعدة الأطفال الذين يعانون من الثلاسيميا، المسماة أيضا فقر دم حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط أو أنيميا البحر الأبيض المتوسط، مرضى الحوادث وغيرها من مستشفيات الإمارات العربية المتحدة حسب حاجتها. وقد اعتبرت الإدارة والعاملون في "في أف أس جلوبال" أنه شرفوا بأن يكونوا جزءا من هذا الجهد الذي يشجع الأفراد على رد الجميل للمجتمع من أجل الاحتفال بعلامة فارقة مهمة في حياتهم.

كان بول جون ماليكال، المدير التنفيذي الإقليمي بالمنطقة، حاضرا في هذا النشاط للمشاركة وتقديم الدعم لفريقه بهذه المناسبة. وقال: "إنه بالفعل شرف لي ولفريقي أن ندعم مركز دبي للتبرع بالدم من خلال هذه المبادرة. إنها مسئوليتنا أن نساهم في المجتمع وهذه اللحظة الفارقة في تاريخ الشركة تبدو جديرة بحدث مثل هذا. نحن نتطلع قدما للمزيد من الأنشطة مع منظمات مشابهة لمساعدتنا على دعم قضايا تستحق الاهتمام".
